I took PoC to mean "Proof of Concept" because that's what this is. I love the idea and like you said, great job on the hardware. The software was clearly developed by hardware engineers or rookie developers. It should be an alpha version and I'm actually surprised this got App Store approval. If this company put experienced app developers (detail oriented) on the software side of this, it could be a solid product. Hey TIDRadio, hire some real app developers (I am one) and make the app as good as the hardware. Now, I have to run, gotta tune in Tokyo on my tiddy radio.

one thing i havent seen talked about regarding this tool... i dont know if it exists but a really cool feature would be if the app could save the configuration information to the bluetooth device so matched data could be written to multiple radios.

Hi TIDRADIO, It's been 4 months. Have you fixed any of these issues and issued a software update yet? Am on the verge of buying but would like to see some progress.

I really enjoy your videos. They are always helpful and informative. In this case I was thinking about buying this, but after your review I think I'll wait a bit!

Thanks Clyde! I hear you. I think they really will get it there soon, especially if they spend just a little bit more on getting the app fleshed out a bit!

This is a great little tool to keep in your car/rig for on the fly programming. My buddy and I have one, great for programming the 5r when you are in the middle of the woods and need to make a change w/o having to use the cumbersome on radio programming buttons. The app is def not intuitive. My guess is that this is a very small dev team, maybe even one developer. They need to prioritize and figure out what their MVP features really need to be and iterate slowly. Focus on the function 1st then worry about the social media aspect of it, if at all. Hope the PO is watching and reading the comments.

It is definitely a handy little piece for reprogramming. I hope they can get some traction with this and clean up that app because this thing has a lot of potential! Especially at $23 for the hardware and nothing for the app. That's not that much more than a programming cable these days!

Dumb question, thank you for your patience. Are you saying that the TIDRadio UV-5R and H6 can use MURS frequencies? Thanks!

Will this work without internet ? We need something to program in the field when everything is out... Don't like Chirp Thanks..

I do believe it will. However, it is an electronic that'd dependent on another electronic to function, so it might not be the best option when everthing else is dark.

This device is garbage...at least the Odmaster software is. It corrupts the CTCSS tones on my two BF-F8HP radios requiring full reset to restore function. The social aspects of the software make it super annoying. I recommend sticking with Chirp. Also, I was just blown off by both Tidradio and Odmaster's lousy support.

I don't like that this app wants your precise location and network access. Who knows what backdoors this chinese app is allowing on your phone.
