Thanks Liza. I gained new perspective by watching your videos. Daily life in the capital Kiev of a war-torn country seems normal on the surface. In the mornings, people rush to their work holding cups of coffee. Streets are filled with cars, and in the evenings restaurants are packed. But the details of war on the American news network tell another story. Numerous buildings across Kyiv bear the scars of Russian missiles attacks and bombardment.
@@lizachaikaYour ukrainians must show more live, especially sunny summer time in Kiev and Odessa, and some other beutiful places what you have! You get more understanding and help. Krim is now those barbariens... :(
I love Podil spent many hours wandering around there. Fantastic in the summer good vibe, then the walk back up to Kreshchatyk via Andriivskiy, good times. Love to everyone in Kyiv. 😊🇺🇦
Just got back to Canada from Ukraine. I visited Kyiv, Ternopil and Lviv. They are beautiful cities and the people are so friendly. I am a UkrainianCanadian, part of the disporia.
Can you get help from the Canadian government if something happens to you in Ukraine? And can you get travel insurance in case something happens in Ukraine as a war country?
hi from toronto. Mann she is stuck there or she ike that place idk mann its hard to say. I think she wanna stay there. Feel littlebit sorry for her mann. Matinoba has some express entry programs for ukrans i think, nm but her life..
It is amazing how you keep going under such terrible circumstances. I have a friend in Lviv and she is the same, she goes to cafes/restaurants, to the park, has 10 hours with no electricity but still manages. But I can see the other side, I was talking to her on video and suddenly she ran to the window in a panic, she thought it was an explosion but luckily it was only thunder. Best wishes from the UK
This part of ukraine would be getting shelled every day if it were not for NATO countries helping ukraine. Funny reality is quite the opposite of what you think is reality.@@TheGovernor-vw9cf
That brownish water color is typical of tanins produced by tree leaves and other greens. Very beautiful city and cool that people were dancing bachata at the coast explanade.
What are ordinary citizens supposed to do? They try to adapt and live as usual. The economy has to function, and people have to live. There should be tourism and other services, allowing people to relax after work or on weekends. Ukraine receives little support, so it has to find ways to function on its own to sustain soldiers who are currently at war. You could ask Koreans as well about how can you keep living while pretending that half of your country isn't occupied by a dictator? Although I understand that your conflict is currently frozen, still. Soldiers are fighting to give ordinary people the chance to live and to keep the enemy out. These are the realities. If you're interested, Kyiv and other cities are regularly bombarded by rockets. When this happens, an alarm sounds, and people go to bomb shelters.
@@xio6778 and if someone dont give aid he calls them allies of Russia.Russia is 2 nd army in world and there is not many countries that could fifgt it without begging for help
Thank you for this wonderful video about your journey through parts of Kyiv, it all looks amazing. I do not have words that would properly express how I feel about what is happening to Ukraine. Best wishes!! I live in the USA.
Live on 22 floor. Just across from kinteatr solntsovo. Without lift a few times. Can’t imagine every time. Bottled water? Not! They often used our podiyezd to drill the firefighters 😳. So now you are surely in great shape( Wishing you hope, health, safety.
One question- why do the Slavic people let themselves be so frequently divided by outsiders? United the Slavic people would be such a dynamic force for good in the world
Those marshmallow drinks are indeed very good. They also sell them at the supermarket next to my gym here in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 Great channel, i enjoy your videos. Would love to visit Kyiv as soon as possible!
Hello guys! Greetings from very hot Antalya! 😃 First of all I would like to say --- GLORY TO UKRAINE! I found your channel recently and really liked it, your videos too! They're sooo good! Keep doing please, and your English is good too! haha! 😃 Me and my wife were living in Kyiv too, before the war. She's also from Ukraine. We really miss Ukraine, Kyiv etc... When the war will be finished we will come back 100%, please keep showing us the beautiful, рідний Ukraine ❤ Be safe please and take care of yourselves! #peace #ukraine
Glory to even the Azov NAZIs and the dictator and you much be a suppoter of genocide against the 4 regions which voted to RETURN to Russia? Wow. You are messed up.
Why would all men be at war? You need people to run regular business aswell. How do u think a countrys economy can work if there is barely any men working? money doesent grow on trees for people to just go and pick
I love those little pop up markets! From what I have seen of Ukrainian agriculture if you plant just about anything anywhere and it grows. Good soil and an amazing people! Thank you for sharing. 👋😊
@andrewbocho3896 Hi copypaste genocidebot disinformation agent. Your profile is under investigation and we'll be looking for you for the rest of your miserable life.
I remember the previous video when you said you live across the river from where you work and it's frustrating when the metro stops due to an air alert. I was thinking at the time, a little crazily, just swim. The river isn't too big or fast moving. I am a nut. I might actually try it but that's probably because I like swimming. I have a pool and I swim in it every night. It has a pool heater so I can swim pretty late in the fall before the snow and ice comes. By the way, I can tell you are artistic by how many times your clothing changed to different fancy styles during this video.. surprisingly a lot and all very modern artistic styles. The guy (your boyfriend or close friend?) reminds me of men back in the 1950's here in the United States. I think it's just his style. It's nice to see how you help each other with English. I have been learning Ukrainian for over six months now. It's not easy and, I guess, I haven't spend as much time as I could. I have a tutor I meet with twice per week. Thank you for the video. It's awesome seeing Kyiv form a normal person's perspective. I saw another video by someone else, though, that showed there is some night life, even if it ends early. I want to try the cherry drink place they visited when I come to Kyiv. Maybe I will try swimming, too. Swimming in natural waters makes me feel more connected with a land.
None of the water tests on Kyiv's beaches pass sanitary standarts. The beach season in the capital hasn`t been announced for 2024. But it will not stop people because it's ridiculously HOT
Because Russians are not crazy. Compare how people in Donbass feel where they are shelled everyday for number of years since 2014 by the Ukranian extremest.
it is very convenient to have a beach right in the middle of the city there was one tiny spot in St.Petersburg but recent landscape renovation turned it into a lawn & granite quay like the rest
Hello from France, with all the lies that the Western media say about Russia and Ukraine, it's good to see your video, thank you for this beautiful sharing, I subscribe to your channel.
OMG Liza! 24 flights of stairs! :O Do you live in a tall Khrushchevka style apartment? I thought they would have lifts in later buildings that tall! :/
WOW! Definitely looks like a nice place to visit. Keep it up. There are many people in the USA supporting your cause against Russian aggression and greed. 24 floors? No lift. Old Soviet building?
Friend Thanks for sharing this video God bless you all ways and your friend and family pls regards me to Taya Ukraine thank you so much from Philippines mabuhay
Supermarket looks full , and no signs of struggling. People are going to be asking where all the millions of money has gone after the gov can’t pay pensions and gov salaries , media shows hyper rockets and missiles in parts of Ukraine 🇺🇦… this video shows that Kyiv is not under war conditions or is it ? Media flames it’s dangerous to go to Kyiv and liv , and other parts of the country. The video is contrasting
Is the electricity schedule unpredictable? I would hope they could have scheduled blackouts to allow people to plan their activities. Although climbing all those stairs all the time is going to give you amazing stamina!
As a man of fighting age I would be ashamed that my country is at war and there's fellow men and women risking their life whilst I was swimming and sunbathing at the beach!
24 floors? You are getting a good cardio workout having to pay to go to a gym. I don't know if you get tired of hearing this or not, but you are simply beautiful!
Great video 🙂 i would like to travel down to ukraine once again, but how safe is it to be in kyiv as a tourist? 🤔 been in Ukraine before (2023) delivering aid and knows the overall situation, take care 🙏🙂 slava ukraini ❤
more that 500k people can't find a home in the netherlands. A lot of people from Ukraine are fleeing because of the war, to The Netherlands, getting homes and money from our government to go on holiday in Ukraine😏 and than they come back to The Netherlands after the holiday.
If it is so safe there, why are still taking homes as a hangout from governments around EU while number of native homeless waiting for a house for for a decade are growing like crazy?
Here. There. Everywhere is another word. Who would want to leave their home friends and family to go into the unknown with strangers? When there is war, bombs fall, houses and cities are destroyed. Look at the disasters elsewhere to understand why they are leaving, because of the war, not for fun. Kindness.
This does not appear to be a people & country fighting for their survival. Obviously there is a war but there is plenty of content berating NATO countries for not doing enough and so go so far as basically asking for ww3 yet plenty of Military age Ukrainian men enjoying the beach..
Thank you for this inside view of this beautiful city , love the architecture and vibe . Wish your country the best of luck to get through this Rediculous conflict and for a better future . Stay safe 👍🇦🇺
