First of all thanks Arun anna I bought this bike after watching you're review video. I was always into bikes but was waiting for a perfect time to buy one. And randomly i came across your channel and saw you're first pondi/Kanyakumari Bike ride and it inspired me and made me realize maybe there might not be perfect time to do something. Maybe mid-life crisis hit me in my mid 20s itself lol. I bought this bike against every family member and I'm really happy I did. I have crossed 7k + kms. The points that you mentioned are absolutely right. This is my first bike and I fell in love during my first test drive itself. Pros It is an excellent touring machine. I've ridden for 7+ hours with just few minutes water breaks and haven't felt any discomfort. You can comfortably cruise at 130kmph without any issue. And you can see mileage up to 40kmpl if you ride within 8k rpm. But if you push the bike to 130-140 expect an mileage of 28-30kmpl. And it can handle bad roads pretty well and those tires really boost your confidence. And if you're wearing riding gloves and boots you won't feel vibration even at 130+ Cons Not sure if other riders faced this, but i observed wrist pain during my initial days with the bike. So i haven't observed any heat during winter months but lately during summer the engine gets pretty hot in Traffic. But then again in highway touring i didn't had any engine heat not sure if that's because of my riding boots. And as Arun anna said this is not an offroader. It might seem like it but its not. The rear suspension is really hard and when you miss to slow down in a speed breaker you can feel the impact heavily. When you try to saddle this bike the standing position is not that good. The handlebar is too low for my height(i'm 5'11). And headlight throw is not sufficient. So if you're looking for a road based touring bike and if you handle the seat height this might be the best choice. And the service is not bad but not great either. The service center doesn't even know the service interval timeline. They are getting it confused with Suzuki's 150s. I'm not sure but i feel like the service center mostly work on Access 125 alone, so when it comes to big bikes it feels they are somewhat less experienced. And i'm saying this because i'm from a small town so other network in cities might be well equipped. And anna for you're last questions i'm satisfied with the purchase. But i feel like the bike is underpowerd for my liking. So if budget was not the problem i might have gone with Adv 390.
Happy for the bike bro..Nice bike in the 250cc segment..As u said if we push the bike mileage drop to 25 - 28. I also felt heat this summer time other time no heat.. suspension is poor in offroads i agreed with that..
I have this bike bro..Big one ku ithu thaan eduthutu vanthen by road la.. umling la ku pora valila two three places oxygen low naala off aachu...But athuvarikum bike la entha problem um tharala.. struggle um aagala..may be pillion irunthiruntha, struggle aagirukum....As u said for highway and city ku super bro... hyderabad and delhi city traffic la kuda easy ah valainchu poga mudichithu....umling la off-road la better aave perform pannichu... pinnadi thalum pothu kaalula thatuthu... Mirrors la vibration theriyuthu but managable, vera engayum feel aagala perusa...We drive around 900kms in single day, entha back pain um varala.. Good riding position.. Service was not good as u said...
Mine is 10k done, but no problem with the break pad or anything else. Works fantastic still. Did drive from cbe to Mumbai with a pillion on the 3rd month, and it performed really well.
just finished 3500 kms on my vstorm , primarily travelling by highway up to 80kms on a near daily basis and i must say the bike is a charm, cruising at around 87 to 100 i get a milage of about 41. the clutch was a little hard and rough at first but after 2000kms it smoothened out beautifully. As a tall person the bike is very comfortable to ride. the only downside i felt was that the clutch lever isn't adjustable the long reach made bumper to bumper traffic a pain in the palms. The performance however makes up for that, being able to pull from as low at 15kmph in 4th gear all the way to 80 plus makes it very fun to ride and hit limiter. easily hitting high speeds of 130 plus and continue to cruise in those speeds and push all the way to 155kmph makes the engine a charm all while not burning your legs from heat.
@arun I ride a Honda hness now but looking for an adventure tourer now. How do you compare this with BMW 310GS specifically wrt to seat comfort, if I could do with less power? And how do they compare in bad roads? TIA!
Hi Anna, i bought v storm on 22-01-24 after watching ur review on RU-vid & its my first bike, bike is excellent, good millage, comfort, looks etc.. Its is more than my expectations Thank you ❤
Nalla comfort for family. Rear suspension is adjusted so stiffness prob can be rectified. LHS pulling is common, so we have to live with this. Even the service centre is unable to fix t.. I drove this n last Kumari trip. Comfortable. Bt after long hours foot was paining due to the position. crash guard with sliders la foot rest paniruntha pain could have been reduced. Over all I did choose a good one.. thanks Arun for the suggestion..
Is this bike worth for Chennai City traffic ? I am having GS 150 R and using currently from 2012. I am looking for the replacement for GS but found none since the comfort GS provides, I am expecting matching bike of GS.
As an owner, I'll have to say one thing. Indha vandiya ottuna pudikkadhu, aana otta, otta, vandiyidoda dynamics, comfort and usability nalla puriyum...and pudikkum.. romba pudikkum... 😊
I was looking for 400cc bikes... Had test rided scrambler 400x, him 450,adv 390..but finally ended up with vstrom... Good road presence, no heat, easy to ride in city unlike other adv bikes..Descent mileage..less service cost... Can cruise in 125 without any vibration..Engine is well refined and Butter smooth..
Im having facing engine noise ,performance lag and heating issue in apache 200 4v,purchase 2020 nov, but the tvs service centre and customer service support is very poor and rude behaviour. For one year facing this issue repeatedly but they doesnt care itself. Now they telling clear cut we will not see this vehicle and today they said we will not jobcard for repair also. Kindly give any proper lead
Bulls eye review... I too own this... Dealmaker point was very precise and true and i have extracted 40kmpl by riding in 100kmph in highways .... I am 5'10 but get little pain on the wrist.... Nothing much to complain... I love my bike...
3 days munnadi intha bike ah test drive chance ah illa meteor 350 edukalam nu idea la irunthen itha test drive pannathu la irunthu manasu vstrom sx thaan vennum nu kekkuthu
Clocked 18k , still works like a charm. Like, i took delivery yesterday . And it does reminds me this song 🎵 everytime "she got a smile that it seems to me reminds me of childhood memoies"
What you said is true about the instrument cluster, when I test ride it , I dropped the plan of buying the bike , for which one of the reason is the worst and boring instrument cluster other reason is, the break is not good and I could see gear and clutch are hard
Hii Arun By the by on my experience as you said all are agreed one for of v-storm Sx. We missed some futures compared to that price. By the way service also little bit badly only we fell sometimes, while we coming to ride we make 3rd party service only due to delay in giving from showroom
Much awaited video bro! Thanks. They had 3 clr variants, but now discontinued orange clr. From the dealer network they are telling that Orng clr is slow moving. But the doubt is whthr Vstorm itself slow moving? If so, if the company decides to discontinue the entire model sooner! Will it affect Spare / Service requirements?
First of all thanks Arun bro i watched your 1st vstrom video that makes me buy this mechine. Now i have owned 1.5 years . As you said worst after sales service in the show room . Once again thanks 👍
I owned v Strom 250 2 years i completed 43k kms. Not a full time adv bike.. city + highway Lite off road kind of a bike. Suzuki service was very poor in my location. 2022 batch vehicle la camshaft issue iruku value noise iruthuchu company warranty la change panaga but enaku satisfied ila 20k over price but value for money tha. Daily city commute 50kms panuvan weekend long ride povan bike enaku ok thaan
Vstrom 250 pakka touring machine But one of the worst service I had a 16-model Gixxer SF 150 I need an upgrade and athu Touring ku use aana nalla irrukanum nu pakum pothu, I blindly trusted Suzuki But after sales romba worst, oru spare ku minimum 1 weeks wait pannum, ennaku oru O2 sensor ku 52 days wait panna vachanga.... I raised a mail to Suzuki India.... athuku aprm thaa avangala kuputu velaiya mudichu kuduthanga...
Im too having this bike for past 1.5 Yeras, what you said is all true, brakes should have been better, mathabadi elam okay thn mileage highway 39-42,city -35-38 maintenance 👌🏻, service quality is poor Cruising speed - 120kmph smooth and steady, seat for pillion is little stiff that's it.
Hii g I like Himalayan but I will choose v storm due to price, maintenance & milage & bla bla of Himalayan and I m not going for off roading and all only for city drive and travelling purpose so v storm matches the requirements!!
Is Baby GS still worth it? Agree to all your points and I'll choose the VX storm out of the list. Specially because the heat management and the engine refinement. What else i want?, When I'm gonna use the bike in the city traffic Mon - Fri and look for trips in weekends. Still it's my opinion, Welcoming thoughts of others on the same.
I love baby GS. In my opinion its the best tourer. We have to bare the engine nature of always being ready to dive. Strangely its less in GS than in Rtrs, rrs
maverick 440( best uh dhan but design and instruments cluster mattum dhan knjm koraiya theriyuthu overall la) and Adventure 390 ( aana Ivan apdi ila eduthuru Ivan dhan venum nu nikkum manasula)
Arun, what is your thought about this against GS310? I understand each bike has its own characteristics. But, i would like to know what is your take of Plus and minus between the two. Thanks
We need to force Suzuki to revamp and grow it's after sales services in many places. Please add a short message to Suzuki India, part availability is tough.
Arun Anna, enaku oru doubtu. Enaku orey confusion, Apache rtr 160 or Suzuki sf 250 aa nu. Ennoda primary goal, naan high way la 100 la cruise pannuven, andha speed la bike romba vibrate aaga koodathu and engine quality nalla irukanum, because naan konjam vandia aa 8k rpm ku push pannitu dhan gear ee change pannuven. Apache rtr um 100 la cruise pannudhu, Suzuki yum adha easy aa pannudhu. And enaku ride comfort konjam priority, and mileage 40 kitta kudutha okay dhan. Endha bike na choose panlam?
Suzuki engine is always altimate, Service center la Nalla than pannuranga bro,, ennoda older gixxer sf155 engine damaged, eventhough thay had fixed that perfectly, enakku after sales response um big thumbs up than bro
Naa ithan bro vechurken 4k kms use paniruken ithoda flaws therimchu fuel efficiency and refinement kaga than vaanginen im fully satisfied ❤ and Ramesh bro kita discuss panitu than vangunen😊
I choose triumph scrambler 400x. Top class quality. You can feel quality in everything. The wiring layout is very neat and clear. Engine performance is excellent. Very good midrange and lowend. Also can feel a unique pull past 6500 rpm and top feels great too. Its a really good engine with a good adequate suspension. Ive already put this bike down on the road few times. Very much study and very well built
Na vstrom vechurkan Arun. After considering ktm 390 adv and himalayan , went with this purely because of my friend advice. I never regret my decision of buying this one. I owned a RE cls 350 for 9 yrs before this. Trust me when i say , this gives me more confidence and less financial burden. showroom service is very average, ipo na private service centre tha prefer panran. city mileage 41, highway 39 to 40. Seating comfort is too good. If you are in Coimbatore by any chance, happy to show my bike to you. TIA
