Smart people would put food first,but not all people have their priorities in order. I worked at Walmart during the pandemic and people went crazy buying TVs when they received the stimulus checks. The country was in uncharted territory with shutdowns,layoffs and shortages but they were getting TVs and computers.
Yes they will. If people will pay over $800 for a gadget that does the same thing as a $50 gadget, they need their friend flex gear. Gotta have the big screen for the big game to show of to the guys. People will live in a second hand single wide an finance a brand new truck, instead of building a house for less than the shiny truck. People are stupid.
Oh yes they will. They already do! Think of all tbose tax checks that go to electronics then cant even pay rent a month later and begging everyone else for money crying about their kids gonna be homeless. It wont stop. Well as a retail operator what they're doing is trying to keep the shoplifting thieves and looters out by having a way or like Costco. They will obtain your financial information credit card and your ID before you enter their retail environment otherwise piss off they say

Aldis bread is also I stop buying their bread...I barly shop their only for fruit/veg if a good deal but these alway spoil to fast so Walmart/Aldis I rarely shop at..
Kroger has chuck roast for 5.99 lb w/dig. Coupon. 3.00 of on Hellman’s. Peanut butter for 1.49. Peaches, plums and nectarines are 2.49 for 2 lb bag. Clip the coupons, ditch the frozen stuff, chips and drinks and eat some real food. Oh! Chicken breast is 2.49 no coupon required.
My oldest son works at Walmart in Central Arkansas in the pickup order division. They have been cutting full time staff hours the past couple of months.
Clothing is an optional purchase, A lot of competition in clothes. No competition in food and we are getting killed. Don't care about clothes or electronics.
People have not changed their shopping habits, I see carts with soda hanging on the side , pizza and junk food in the basket. Face it people DO NOT know how to shop. At your age nothing is Hip. Don't get excited because cackles will break the economy. Never heard of better goods.
Poor not on food stamps over quantity and fool belly. I can't afford hamburger. Not if the high fat. I eat tons of rice, beans now. I would love to have real food once in awhile. But real food tends to spoil faster and more expensive.
I have to shop at Walmart because it’s the only grocery store within my area but I hate it. I almost feel like the employees and the store treats us like criminals. Cameras everywhere, security staring at you, employees at the self checkout looking at you from the huge tv camera, the self checkout machine recording you, tv screens recording you when you take a deodorant from the shelf, etc. I even have to call someone and wait for 30 min to get my baby her formula. Plus, the employee cannot give me the formula in hand, she immediately puts it at the register… absolutely insane.
perhaps the reason for all of the cameras and protocols is because of the disgusting shoplifters. the store is supposed to make an exception for you and your hurt fee fee's? welcome to 2024 and biden's America...
and how much is the "slashing" of prices? reducing 2cents, and 5 cents on overpriced items wont hurt them but its a good PR move...sounds like they care lol and by the way, their stock has increased 40% this yr

@@mateobaysa2055 From what I gather Paid up front, 15k in food and 5k in cash a year, an out of pocket cost for apartment $500, medicare for health. A SS card and drivers license. Also a phone of some kind and internet. Now if you split it up between two you may be able to double it. Think of all the scams that can be run. Maybe congress will question the right people making the payments. I saw some in congress explain the numbers they are getting. So it comes from the budget somehow.

My local Walmart is going through a remodel. They have finished the checkout area and most of it is self checkouts, to get to a regular register you have to go through the self check outs and you can only get though 1 spot on each end. It feels like one of those cattle herding devices and if there was something like a shooting going on, there would be no place to go. I do not like it.
My area store did this last summer. I have no problem with self checkout, but after a few months, they close off half or more of the registers. Now huge line to check yourself out. I used to go weekly, now maybe once a month. Also, many GV products are gone.
Honestly, my last pick up order from walmart was more than in the spring and i basically order the same things. Have not seen a rollback on items i buy in a long time! Good Video Danno.
I am an ex Wal Mart employee, worked there many years, made darn good money, benefits were great, I was a department manager and totally loved my job, they are good and bad, you hear more about them cause they are a major major store, other stores have problems
From what i see they lower the price, a so called roll back, then they either go back to the price it was or higher. Our Walmart in east Tennessee is always fully stocked but prices creep up daily. Great videos! Hi to jess!
well Sams club changed there policy for Plus Members now to get free shipping you have to order $50 or more that is not the agreement i signed when handing them $117 for my membership because on the price increase on the membership they added a $7 processing fee
They add tax on the membership now as well. I had something shipped a few months ago, on my plus, it was free, thanks for the heads up , I am not happy.
Walmart needs to stop third party sellers from price gouging selling on their website. We use Walmart grocery delivery. I haven’t noticed any drop in prices with our grocery from Walmart.if anything it is only a few cents on certain items.
I work at a convenience store/deli. I cant believe the stuff people spend their money on. All hot case stuff. And that is not cheap. And all the soda, red bulls and other energy drinks. And boy are those expensive. And not just the cost in money. But also the costs in your health! I also see every day. Declined credit cards. People trying to use their cards for a 1.49 fountain soda. And being declined. And our store hasnt taken food stamp cards for over a year. It was even worse when we did. The crap foods they used their food stamp cards on. Nobody knows how to cook. I make all our food here at home from scratch. Im allergic to gluten and dairy and other things. So i have to cook from scratch. I just see people digging themselves in financial disaster, deeper and deeper. People need to wake the heck up!
I started noticing a lot of Great value brands decreasing over a year ago and now most are non-existent. And some name brand items like Raviolis, use to be in meat sauce....now are in just tomato sauce. We were lucky enough to pack away several cans of it....The new stuff taste nasty to me.

Imagine if Walmart was 5 stories high and the size of 2 Costcos combined , the prices would be much higher. Everything is much higher in price and keeps going up every week in every single store
I was just at a small town Walmart and they wouldn't accept cash. The number of people refusing to complete purchases was surprising. They did have signs up at the entrance but a lot of people didn't pay attention until they got to the check out. They might get away with Credit card only in larger cities, but not in small towns.
Walmart is not the cheapest store anymore. I go to Aldi for some produce. BJs for eggs, ground beef. The clothes are crappy, but then I don't need to buy alot of them.
Sams club ( part of Walmart ) made huge changes in their membership plus customers. They’re offering less items for free shipping & making you buy $50 worth before you can get free shipping. There is no perk in being a plus membership anymore but getting in earlier to the store.
I haven't heard anyone speak to this but I believe that in 2024 we have tons of products available which we simply can live without. I include eating out in this. I think it is pretty easy for consumers to simply stop spending on extras and focus on basic needs. tHanks for the video
Stock up now, and thank your wallet later. I purchase mostly canned food and dry pasta, spices, and salt. Frozen foods and fresh items are gone within a day or so of no power.
Hmmm this could be the reason why the store brand ice cream that I was putting in my online cart is suddenly 78 cents less than the last time we got it.

I will believe it when I see it...prices go up every day.. every single day 1000's of items. They lower prices on a few every few months but after prices went up 5 times. I work there.. 17yrs... Also back room is completely over packed. Only shortage at Walmart is employees.

There are only about a dozen food items I buy at walmart. I've only seen one item of their "1000s of items with slashed prices" that I buy; their sam's brand 2 liter soft drinks. I used to buy from Publix because they were $1.33 and Sam's was $1.48. But when they announced the price cuts on 1000s of items I was walking by the end caps and saw one that was full of 2 liters and the sign said $1.00. So I have been buying the Sam's version of Coke zero since then. I buy 12 at a time and they always have plenty in stock. The 1/3 price cut is very welcome to me. As for rollbacks, it's rare I ever see those. But about 2 weeks ago I was cutting through the beer aisle to get to the eggs and stopped to see how much the 12pk bottles of Mikes Hard Lemonade were. $17.98 but were on rollback for $10.98! So naturally I bought one. I hate beer but I really like the Mike's drinks. I went a couple of days ago to get eggs and lettuce and 2 liters, and I looked for the Mike's again, even though the box I bought is still half full. They didn't have any and I didn't see the shelf tag for it, so apparently the rollback is over. Which is fine since obviously no one NEEDS to waste money on alcohol.

Have to admit, I stopped shopping at Walmart a couple of years ago.Too many times I have been very disappointed in the Great Value brand quality. Not worth the money. We shop at Food Lion. The last thing I purchased there was a coffee maker. It was an emergency. Otherwise I would have ordered one off of Amazon.
