I contacted support again about getting the atlantico commander, they said putting it in the box without the commander was intentional, and there's no work around. How dirty is that....

Since the CV rework I've been playing less because the pool of effective ships (competitive with strong AA) is hugely reduced. Used to play IJN cruisers and british DDs a lot. Now I just get my first win with a couple ships (Oster, Friesland, Mainz etc.) and log off.
I really want them to make it where we can buy a campaign ship from the shop. For example, if I missed the Jager campaign, it goes to the shop where I can buy it for doubloons. Like the other premium ships that are in the shop as well
ye, this. I've started playing during anchorage campaign. So you can imagine what I missed... They can make so much money by selling those campaign ships and yet they are still not in the shop...
I think it was farm sim but I’m not positive… either way there was backlash on news of the game and their reply was “*like any other development company that puts their play base first*, we took the time to make sure it was perfect.” The first part of that statement tells us everything. Wargaming doesn’t care about the playerbase the way some do. And like Aaron said it’s a waste of our time to hope/request what we’d like. Their mind is made up and apparently planes are only gonna get worse. I login on my phone every other day or so, but I don’t play this game anymore
I’m a CV hater simply because I feel they made the game worse. I’ll give these a shot but my prediction is that the weaker BB players are now going to be even more distracted flying planes around. A mechanic I already don’t like. Again, I’m always willing to give things a shot but we’re about to be flooded with ships that are bad BB’s and bad CV’s all wrapped into one.
All they need to do is add loadouts and the ability to select a loadout in the match countdown screen. It doesn't make sense to have to choose a "loadout" without knowing what you're fighting. I think this would go a long way to cull some of the complaints around CV planes. The only other option I see is winning the lottery so I can buy WG and fix the game.
I’m on a break from boats. Of course I did the same thing with world of tanks and never went back after they introduced tanks like the banana buster, and wows seems headed in the same direction
Unless there are different play modes like one where there are no aircraft. Then this will make the game no longer my number 1. If that's what wargamming want that's what they are going to get.
The only way to make big companies listen is to hit them in their wallet! Unfortunately, it's very rare to get everyone on board for something like that! I'm sticking to my guns though...I haven't given them a penny since the initial cv super buff. It's tough looking at the word "basic" in the upper right hand corner, and seeing all the perks im missing out on,but I'm gonna hold out as long as I can! Sounds silly, but I'm doing my part! Lol
Yeah, it was fun when it was rock, paper and scissors (destroyer, cruiser and battleship) and then they added carriers and it became rock, paper, scissors and hand grenade.
In general I don't mind island camping if it's useful for strategic positioning, I do mind when they do it an expected teammates to give up on their game a spot for them the whole time. Great perspective. Stay positive
Not only is WarGaming not listening, they do not play their own game. -Catapult fighters need to be restored. -Carrier hanger regen NEEDS to be nerfed, OR -AA batteries need to be buffed across the board.

I can sum up hybrid carriers in 3 words: Jumped the Shark. And I agree with your assessment that only 1 in 20 games is "fun" anymore. I personally have found myself asking if I even want to play anymore. I used to get excited when I had a few free hours to sink some boats, but so many of those sessions have ended in frustration that I'd rather play something else now.
Once large chunks of people stop paying for the premium base and admiralty backing, which is the minimum most players will pay and most definitely WGs more consistent income stream, is when WG will shift their tactics.
Not like any of these lines should be that much of a shock, the vast majority of our content comes over from pc with tweaks here and there. Pc is like 2+ years into lines with a bunch of crazy gimmicks and the list of somewhat normal new ships they can bring from pc is getting shorter and shorter. My only major gripe is they add things like this and Hindenburg still isn’t in legends and we’re half way through 2024 😭
These figures for the player numbers are for the PC version, right? I thought that WG doesn't release that information for Legends. In any case, I think that it is possible to estimate the number of people playing Legends, more or less: Every time there is an Arena season, the roster is divided in percentages for all the players who have made at least one arena battle. In recent seasons, the top 1% was around 200-300 players. That is about 20000 to 30000 players in total for this Arena. Well, four years ago, when I started playing this, the top 1% was around 600-800 players. Something like three times more. That is only for those who actually enter the Arena, but it is reasonable to assume that the percentage of players in the Arena, with respect to the total number, is more or less constant. That logic takes us to the conclusion that this game has lost two thirds of its playerbase in recent years, even with new players constantly coming into the game. WG has to balance the proportion in the game between veteran and inexperienced players. Too many newbies , and the battles become dumb, very one-sided and boring. Those are very badly played games. That is the situation now. However, the new players are the ones who spend more money. Veterans have already spent enough. If the opposite is true, there are too many veterans, the battles are very competitive, but WG is not getting as much money as they want. In this case, what they do is to power creep the ships, forcing the veterans to get new ships and new commanders. There are many examples of power crept ships: Tirpitz, Atago.. and many others. There are other factors, like how immature players are, which makes them vulnerable to those shady tricks with the boxes, for instance. However, I believe that there is something dirtier than this. I have suspected for very long, and I am convinced now, that the matchmaker also manipulates players to keep them in the game if they are new, and spend a lot of money, and induces veterans to leave the game. There are way too many complaints in Reddit about people losing 8 or 10 battles straight, to think that this is just a statistical anomaly. I have more Thant 25K battles played, and I get, systematically, 4 to 6 losses straight when I start playing. Day after day. I have been continuously censored in Reddit for saying this last comment.
After watching this video I reviewed my commander roster...I have 117 ship commanders. I'm sure there are those who have more, but 117 in my opinion is quite a bunch. Of those 117 ship commanders...only 42 of them (35.8%) are being used either in a primary or inspirational role...30 of those 42 ship commanders are leveled up to 16/3 with just one completed at 16/4. The remaining 12 are all leveled up to 16/2. That means I have 72 ship commanders (64.1%) that I'm not using right now which is close to two-thirds of the entire roster. I will not release how many days I have left regarding the, what is it called? premium version of this game but let's just say that it's a lot....as in a LOT. It's a lesson on how this game works or better yet, the business model that Wargaming is utilizing. I reached a point, almost two years ago where I had enough with the particular transactional culture that Wargaming promotes so after not missing the completion of a campaign for a very long time, I now sit most of them out either due to being unimpressed with the campaign reward ship...which lately has been consistent with me over the last 6-7 months, to not liking some of the things Wargaming pulls... Such as the unnecessary nonsense regarding the most requested flag (the Jolly Roger) in the game several months ago....that was a new low for Wargaming in my opinion. So I play it less and that's fine with me. I'm not regretting the time and money that was spent- i had fun, lots of fun, but things change over time as they always do and company directions change with them usually not for the better so I got off the train...I still board occasionally but it's rare. The extra time away gives me access to other games to try, or rediscover older games that I neglected. Hello Forza Horizon 4! But A A Ron is completely correct, the language that a company responds to is money and if a player base is withholding those monies, hence impacting profits, then that's a language Wargaming will understand and respond to. The problem is the player base, they lack the collective willpower. It's as if enough of them at the least are addicts...they must spend their dollars , euros, pounds...or whatever it may be, to feel entertained and that's how these companies can do what they do with impunity, they can count on the collective weaknesses of the population and while many may complain....loudly, Wargaming skippity-hops to the bank watching themselves get richer every year. ka-ching! 💰💵💰🤑 Though I can't help but wonder who in here that is complaining is still feeding the zombies every month, but that's just me. People by and large need to do a better collective job with abstaining, because it really does get better results that are desired, but again, that's just Moony. 😜
If they want planes...at least they fix the anti-aircraft of the ships. They take too long to come into action, aiming is a lottery and the AAs should not be destroyed by the HE of the other ships (only destroyed by the HE bombs of the aircraft carriers)... and ABOVE ALL they eliminate the immortality of the planes by making a first wave of attack...a wave is always guaranteed regardless of the AA your ship or ships have nearby. And now they generate planes like a factory... a wave and I send more planes... I saw a game with a Conqueror, an Alaska, a Minotaur and a Lushun together giving each other AA cover... and I was UNABLE to avoid a wave of planes. That 4 ships together should be an excluded flight zone for any aircraft squadron…
I know that everyone starts as a new player, but as someone with only 2300 standard battles and a 50 percent winrate, WG needs to do more to make players become more competent in their gameplay. It frustrates the ever living sh*t out of me when players go for just kills and not care about supporting one another.

I watched a live stream from the world of warships Legends team and they said straight up subs are not coming to the game anytime soon they're not even on their minds or on the planning board. Somebody asked them what a time frame might be and they said maybe 5-10 years and they'll put subs in the game, which means and probably not until the next gen console releases and PS5 and Xbox One are basically PS4s in order to create an underwater environment they need to diminish the PS4 player base.
I don't think the Dutch cruisers will come for another 3 to 4 updates, including the one coming up. Because they want to hold every wallet in the US upside down with adding as much as possible US ships with the 4th of July update. I understand that from the business perspective. However, this means that we won't be seeing a decent new TT line until 3 updates after. The first after set set the new line 'live '. The second update will be too soon after the first, hence the third is our best bet.
Im a 5 year player. All the CE's including the Iwaki and Arkansas. I've just dleted the game. After one game this afternoon where i was singled out by a carrier then realising it's only going to get worse i decided enough is enough. The game isn't fun any more, WG don't care about players, just cash. I quit the PC version because of the fun police and what they did to the game now it's happening all over again. Subs will be put on the game; that's why the 7 provinces was added, to start stealth testing depth charge runs. I've seen all the signs before on PC and they're happening now on console. Too put it bluntly, screw WG and this game, I'm done.
I hear ya about the burnout. I played PC WOWS from 2018-2022 practically every day but it got to be not fun by the last 6 months or year. It felt like a chore, a thing I had to take care of. Gotta grind that line, get the win rate up! I can't imagine having to treat it as content creation like you do. That's a whole other can of worms. I started back up a couple months ago. Now I play when I feel like playing, when I want to. I don't build it into my day. And I try not to look at my stats . . . but I'm not perfect lol.
The question here on PC numbers, how much of it is actual players and what is bots? PC does have a noticeable amount of Bot accounts which does fluff the numbers. So the number of player charts do need to be taken with a grain of salt.
For me it's not about those hybrid ships persee, or the new carrier, it's for the fact that they allways do this: instead of gently adding new things, they reworked carriers and made them overpowered, added those new air drops with 7 provincieen, to then add another new powerful cv, and then even more planes with hybrid ships, like wtf... From 0 to cancer in about 2months and then are shocked when ppl are just frustrated of having to deal with all that crap on top of terrible teammates and "mobile players".. no priorities or respect for your player base their wishes, only greed
I think these planes are going to be made of paper or at least they should be and their regen should be dogshit and also the balancing factor of these ships is probably a lack of armor like a regular carrier
the flight decks on those hybrids look to short to recover planes at all unless the ship stops moving and recovers seaplanes out of the sea using a crane or something so their airwings should be a none regenerating consumable..... that's definetly not what's going to happen though.
We are at 5 years so we are approaching the shelf if they don't turn this around. Researchable ships are great, but camp-ships suck on average. Its a biz too as you stated and your right. Honestly, the plan they follow is probably years planned out what drops will be and when. Srtong up front but as they progress is weak ships now.
To work at Wargaming, you need to have less then one ear, and a kindergarten reading level. But to all the people saying the game is dying get rid of you fingers.
Not sure I understand what people were expecting. Even if WG says, "This isn't pc," it's still based off of pc. They're going to add as many of their pc ships as possible, and that includes the ones that people don't necessarily want/like.
I love more diversity but I will say it's not diverse when the 9 v9 is hindering it I would like to see more of a larger scale mode even 10 v 10 with a carrier
A stab in the dark here, it smells like wargaming is setting the stage for WOWL submarines. These boats can get in there and haunt Carriers and destroyers.
I would be interested in knowing how we can strategically reduce our purchases to the point WG gets it and they include additional tuning. Do they make most of their money on admiralty? Ship purchases? If as a player base, if we all agreed to only play AI for a month I don't think it would impact their wallets. Sounds like we need to send a financial message somehow..
As far as commanders go I do not think they are devalued at all. Each one offers a new feature and that is fine as they are not really game changing. However with ships being added recently. Wow they have made some worthless. I saw this back when they gave a new US cruiser SAP shells devaluing the Italian line and then giving Battleships Radar on some premiums. The part I will say is New hybrid battleships devalue standard battleships because why bother with a normal battleship when you can use one with planes as well? Time will tell what the balance of the game will be once the update drops.
Speaking of living under a rock, a ton of players still have no clue that ain't no more catapult fighters to spot enemy ships by design. Quite the contrary effect they achive do so, since aircrafts in the air gives away your ship's whereabout. So WG should do a little favor to these stuborn blokes as they are not bothered to read the manual.
Also, maintenance expenses are crippling and bad for replaying games, if you are bad or have a team that doesn't commit with you and always get defeated then you know
hate the maintenance it always feels like you're being robbed when you see that you've earned a few hundred k or something and then you look down and realise 1/3 or even 1/2 of it disappeared into the shadow realm.
Seems like every match i log in for it's like watching five year olds playing soccer. Everybody's clumped up. One sides overloaded and I'm the only g dang ship on the other side of the map. Which is manageable depending on what type of ship I'm in but really sucks cause i feel like it really discourages me from playing a wider variety of ships. Have practically gone dd main just to try and adapt to how broken games have become. It's just a bummer
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this game is a niche game BUT Wargaming sees it has a global game like Fortnite, all they want are new players spends 15$ and quit. Just last night was in a tier 5 game and out of 18 players, 10 of them might have been new players (they have the base emblem) I ended up with 190k dmg and 2369 xp in a loss, more than the winning team’s top player. Next game you have players with name like newid#superlongrandomnumber. Game is getting plenty new players for sure, but no one knows if they will stick around. But I will say this, older players like me won’t be.
CVs and planes in general have made the game worse , u cant angle ur armor to planes, ur AA is useless and CVs can attack u relentlessly without putting their Ship itself at any risk of return fire. At least DD have to worry about Radar and Sonar, Cruisers have to worry about BBs and BBs have to worry about other BBs and DDs, what do CVs have to worry about ? There's literally no ship class that counters them , and thats the problem 🤷🏾♂️.
As spartan why he stopped playing world of tanks. I bet he would say they added so much crap that changed the game and made it not fun anymore. I quite when they added tons of light tanks that went 90 miles an hr and turned it into a tank race pluse the mercenary theme hodge page tanks the game changed so much it just wasn't fun anymore. Seriously how many boats do we really need every body figures out which ones are good and plays them 90% of the time. The game just needs different modes and new maps and maybe some better tasks or challenges in a match. Definitely don't need planes in a boat game. And honestly the game lacks consistency boats are always changing they never preform the same month to month. Let alone day to day. Rng needs a rework. And I'm sorry when aa is controlled by rng that's wrong totally unfair Part of the game. You can't pick aa after in a match to much bs with CVS. They simply take fun out of the game you can't sneak around the map to get into good positions like we once did. Not even gonna touch the pay to play because it simply is.
I’m pretty much done with this game indefinitely. This game is getting too stale, and you nailed it - WG is going to do whatever they are going to do, and there’s nothing we can do about it. 4 years in, now I’m out.
So i play woW legends on console and i love carriers and i know hybrids will make good additions for people like my friend that struggles to deal with carriers as a bb main. And i absolutely support subs and cant wait till they are added. Ive been playing it for 4yrs and every new ship type helps make the game not so repetitive. Also i don't understand the complaints everyone is going to complain about something regardless but if any ship type is "broken" its destroyers. A good destroyer can practically solo a game and no one complains about them. Also i think pretty much all complants are coming from battleship mains because bb are basically helpless by themselves they have survivability which is good for new players but don't really help with caps or pushing because they are too big and slow to do anything other than damage which 90% of the time will be done shooting other bbs

So, tin foil hat moment from a 5 year vet of the game, but hear me out... Devs knew they were adding the hybrid ships and didn't want them to provide their own spotting, which is why they made planes only show ships on the map, with air detecable ships only being able to be seen while flying your planes.

They kinda are trying in a way*.. they hvnt added subs yet.. and we know some ppl have asked for hybrids maybe not a lot... But tbh I'd rather have them than subs.. we are used too planes already.. while we don't know how they'll adapt... But we kinda have an idea.. so all in all I'm meh on it all.... But I am curious if there will be hybrids and normal cv in one match... That only I think will postpone Subs for a while so we can adapt ourselves..
Cvs aren't fun to play against.. okay lets bring more planes. Hopefully it dont ruin the balance. I dont know how it will be untill i play the update . The game kinda feels like if you dont buy the pay2 win commanders then you have big disadvantage. The longer i play the game the more I just play cruisers. There just more fun to play.
From my point of view here seems legends is getting everything the PC version has little by little. CV's, Dutch Cruisers with strikes, now we have Hybrid BB's coming its only matter of time till they add sea mines then subs? Strange it seems they just want to sell more and more then focus on the main issues like for example the Kamikaze at Tier 4 it owns so easily at T4. I just pulled 176k dmg game so easily. It has 4.8km concealment and 30 sec torp reload at 7km range. I rather see balancing changes come to the game and help bring back the fun instead of adding so much more things that make the game unbalanced. Why not adjust the other maps we have as well not just new ones like for example adjusting the play area to give us some more room and move spawns back some.I rather see AA and secondary adjustments to help on some of the issues in the game. We all can vent so its not really gripes. Its good to get it out there for others to hear.
I really don't see a game mode like operations just look at how fleet battles turned out i think majority of the player base is very casual and the handful of dedicated players. As far as other ships yes Hindy slava yadda yadda would have been nice over a bb with an identity crisis. I've said before to people if you want change vote with the wallet. But all of this can be contributed to lack of competition sure you have war thunder (I like and play) but its slow and for most people its to realistic when compared to wows
No definetly they are not listening players. There are a lot of problem in game.but not solution. They are adding new problems. They didnt do anything about cv spawns at years.asimetric spawn ruin the game.some maps had better spawns at past.and so many other things..
I agree; assymetric spawns essentially guarantees that two people on either team are about to spend the next several minutes fighting a losing battle. Any cv player with a brain is gonna know which spawn that is and almost always piles on to create a near unwinnable situation. Not a good recipe for an enjoyable experience.
done investing money into wargaming, they are clearly in the milking phase of business. the game has run its course and they need to either make an entirely new game or shut down the current one. people still want something more realistic like il 2 tank crew or steel division, as for warships... yeah theres plenty of simulations, none as good warships models but more immersive nontheless
I don't get the hate behind CVs and hybrid ships. They are fun and ballanced to fight against (speaking from the recieving end) and require skill and getting used to (player end, although I do have skill issue). so...honestly...get good
Wargaming needs to fix the carriers in legends, cause it’s very unbalanced and the game is so broken, wargaming needs to do something about HE spammers cause it’s ridiculous, if wargaming brought back the way legends played when it first came out on console I think more people including the old veterans would come back and play but as long wargaming doesn’t want to listen to the community & do there own thing there ruined the game

The wiepoint still is WG catalogue is very lame in numbers.First game for me was WOT 2017 after a big accident broken neck and lost sight one 1 eye.and yes Spartan elite was there at the time so soon to be 8 years under WG fla and well I coukd have a Ferrari in to my garage but 1 eye everything go to WG so big walletwarrierr here I am.So number where big round 30k on weekends clan wars and all it was good .Legends yes fun but player base well you compared with PC and that you could not get Legends numbers they are low no super low.That is a big problem lets say Wg is in sagnation that is still bad and yes I will play but if I meed the same player more then 2 times in 6 battles I quit.
Carriers are annoying yes but they are just a must in a game with ships because they are realistically always in use and also historically very important just leaving them leaves a great deal of history out. I dont agree with the change they got because they should be kinda a spotting class and finishinf of weak ships or ships that are camping behind mountains. But these hybrids i dont know rather have gotten a normal battleships tech lines.
