Apparently saying the truth about Barca’s financial situation has more consequences than having a trophyless season, finishing second and having horrible performances 💀💀makes sense
Its not about that. Its about the mentality that Xavi has instilled on this team. This is what I’ve always been struggling to accept with Xavi. I want him to continue and succeed but that inferior mentality is inflicted on the players. We should make the atmosphere as challenging and evolving as possible. We need to inspire players, not be like: Its tough to compete with madrid, its tough to win games, its tough to do this do that
It's more so the fact that it's the first time that someone who is related directly from the club is admitting the troubles they are having Remember, Laporta is a politician so it's always about lying and deceiving what's happening behind the scenes. He's spent this whole time denying (or at least saying that he's fixing the problem) to get sympathy from the Barca fan base so they would continue to vote for him. When infact the clubs financial situation hasn't improved by that much, and I'd argue is going to get worse due to all the future they have sold
@@k13tron What Xavi told is true, sorry if it hurts your feelings. Go ahead and get rid of Xavi. But don't deceive yourself, No coach is magically going to save the club. I bet you will be calling for the next coach to be sacked in 12 months time. Time to get rid of Laporta.
With which mentality do you want that to happen? The Xavi and his players' mentality of "Blame someone or something else" Xavi's second name should be Mr. Excuses since that is all he does. In style he has already exonerated himself from the blame of future failures
The way we’re moving we’ve practically guaranteed those rats at Madrid more league titles to come because we are not at all at a level to compete with them physically and mentally

It’s crazy that real can Sign Mbappe with probably masssive wages, Endrick and some other rumored players and Barca can’t manage to sign players due to FFP. Laporta needs to learn from Florentino Perez. Just look at how many years he’s been at the club which is absolutely insane. That guy is a real businessman
Barca is paying for days of glory and inflated salaries. They should really get a good coach and start from the bottom - youngsters find more talents - coach and train well and success will come.
Two things. It was all bartomeu. La Porta is stuck cleaning up his mess and Barcelona have elections while Madrid doesn’t though Perez would win all his elections based on how good he’s run Madrid financially.
@piano2.0 lewandosky is not a useless player be real to your self blame your political board members there are setting players that needs to leave perfect example is Sergio Roberto who Xavi is fighting for Barcelona to renew his contract, inigo and alonso was signed by Xavi and paid useless money for city to average player like ferran at that time Barcelona could have stick to ferran juglat was performing better at the b team

@@OG-10 don't matter, he should have gotten fair opportunities to play. He never got a chance. I can't count how many games where Lew was a ghost and nowhere to be found and in shit form but yet he always starts and plays the majority of the match. Horrible management by Xavi.
Laporta did really well, he made this fractured team competitive again. It’s not his fault the players don’t think so. We have a good team that isn’t connecting. That’s a coaching issue. A lot of my woes as a fan is the fact that Xavi wants to use this team in a specific way. The lack of rotation, the style of play, it’s all pitch side issues. If Barcelona played more direct, we’d see a huge improvement.
Sacking xavi would be a very good step in heading to the right direction. Don’t give Roberto an extension, Put Ferran Torres, Eric Garcia, Dest, Lewandowski in the market. Alonso to leave.
@@crazechill1well we need to properly see that before judging. If the next coach benches him that reflects badly on the board even more as they wanted a player not deemed good enough by 2 managers
Who do you want then bartomeu, rossell? Laporta also is to blame but he cam in when the club was in ruins and signed lewa, kounde, raphinha, cancelo, ferran all of whom xavi wanted. There performance have gone down. We need honesty from everyone not just blame game@@crazechill1
Like different things happening in this club now is making me doubt Laporta and his board, when he wants to leave they begged him to stay and now they are going to sack him,,, same thing similar to Messi situation... This is really unfair 💯
I think Laporta kind of lost it the last year. Letting go of and losing some of his staff, entrusting new people with less experience and then not really taking this coaching issue seriously, when it comes to the blairing warning signs Xavi showed ever since that loss against Man United. If he gets rid of Xavi and apoints a stable coach who plays good football, has a good summer transfer window wether he spends 0€ or 200M€ on transfers. If that happens, then I'd personally want to see him get re-elected. He did such a good job bringing Xavi in, trusting him and also bringing Alemany in too. They all changed this club for the better let's not forget.
Xavi leaving is the right decision. How you can watch the club since Xavi came and not see that is incredible. The issue is not the result as much as a sense that this is not a club that is headed in the direction. They have no identity and boring, and less entertaining than teams with way less talent.
I remember people voting Laporta over Fort because he promised in keeping Messi at the club and to bring Xavi as our coach. Fort being a realist openly stated of not keeping Messi or bringing Xavi in. He had a big plan which I heavily agree and honestly would’ve got us back at our best by now. Sadly our nostalgia got into our sochie’s mind and costed us our shot at being the best again These are the consequences
Font not fort, and he was going to bring in Xavi. That was a major part of his campaign, bringing Xavi as coach. It seems Barcelona is destined to go downhill unless some radical decisions are made.
On the bright side, we might actually have a good season without Xavi favoring some players but boy this board is in shambles. Both Xavi and the board are doing weird things. Seriously!!!!
I agree with Laporta 100%. How will we compete at our best when the coach doubts his own squad???? Already admitting defeat before the war even started. Naah. He has to go.
I think there’s 2 reasons. I forget which journalist made the first point but it seems logical. Firstly, it seems like Laporta is probably going to have to sell at least one big player, even if Nike come in with a big signing bonus. So Xavi by saying what he said has undercut his negotiating position by publically confirming what the press has been reporting about the financial situation. Say Nike give Barca €100m, Barca could plausibly infer that their financial situation is resolved and they don’t NEED to sell, therefore allowing them to negotiate from a position of strength and get a better deal. Secondly, Laporta is a vibes guy and Xavi saying that creates a negative atmosphere which could affect the players. He’s effectively saying they’re not good enough. And he’s also using them as an excuse to cover his own ass in case the team loses. This is nothing new, throughout his career he’s had a hard time taking responsibility. So given those reasons I can understand why Laporta would want him out. Ideally you want a coach who’s excited about working with the young players and takes the pressure off them by putting it on his own shoulders. Xavi’s not that guy.
I thought I was the only one seeing The Xavi's negative mentality. Even if you give Xavi world-class players in every position he will still have excuses to give for each lose. Without the right mentality you can't make any team to progress
I understand that our financial conditions are not good but still ...there are a lot of clubs who are doing good with limited resources...best examples being Leverkusen and dortmund this season....Klopp has always done that...even at Liverpool... there's nothing we can do right now but fight and struggle over and over again untill we reach where we belong instead of crying...so its stupid of xavi to complain right now when he already knew the situation before arriving here... that's why I feel like he does not want to continue and it'll only cause us a whole lot of trouble next season if we continue with him...hence Xavi must be relieved of his duties asap😊
I am just disappointed. The board has failed Barca again. We are not acting like a big club. These days Barca has been more of a soap opera than a football club. Let's face it Laporta has failed. From letting Messi go to trophyless seasons and replacing the best executives of the club like Alemany and Eduard Remeo with Deco and his friendes. He always does deals in order to help superagents istead of helping the club. Our financial situation does not fet better despite selling aspects of clun In the last 18 months we have been able to sign Romeu. Xavi said the truth and we can all agree in terms of that. Also don't forget that it took Laporta 4 months to talk publicly about Negreira Case and meanwhile Xavi was trying to defend the club in the press conferences. And wants to get rid of Xavi because he said the truth. That's embarrassing and shows that he is more of a politician that Barca fan like Rossel and Bartomeu were. Don't that they were aligned some years before and started together from The Elephant Blau organisation.
"From letting Messi go to trophyless seasons" Still does not know why Messi left ? Barca was broke then ... it cannot afford Messi. Surely, you are aware that Messi is the highest paid footballer in the world, whenever he renewed his contract, overtaking Ronaldo time and time again.
At the most dramatic club in the world no holidays 😂 I think if Laporta doesn't even sack but if am Xavi I will leave... I just realized we aren't going anywhere with this board they are so confused. Anyways thanks for the uploads Jamie 💯💯❤️
You have all these players and can’t win, what project ? Xavi has a strong squad and doesn’t know what to do with it, other manager with less are doing a lot better, he’s just nit good enough and he knows it well, all his interviews is him throwing the responsibility on some BS, what other players he needs to win ?! Vini Jr, Mbappé, Halaand, Foden, De bruyne, all in one team, any manager would win with these 😅 wanting to recruit new players is just another excuse/ cope for his weak tactics, thats all
If they fire him that's will be good move. This bastard thinks that Barça is the national team for Spain. Players who are not Spanish are not getting the same treatment that Spanish players are treated

absolute clownery🤡 Sacking Xavi will cost like 20m. Also what kind of message does this sent to any manager who looks to manage Barca. Don’t think Flick would come given we rejected him.
Xavi isn’t the problem. The problem is the fans, media, and the board. Xavi is a club legend and even a legend of the sport and yet he’s being treated terribly
Hello Jamie, A big fan for many years. Love your analysis. My kids imitate your intro every day. Just some food for thought on this topic. I am also jotting down a longer note on Xavi for after your vacation 😂 When listening to your update, I gasped when I heard what Xavi said and thought this is enough to get him out. I don't think it's because of just one statement. It's because that statement sounded extremely hypocritical, self centered and it kind of throws all the support Xavi had from LaPorta and rhe board under the bus. I'd like to remind everyone of Xavis words before his arrival. He said that Barca can't go into a transitional phase and there's no excuses not to compete on all levels. He had his fair share, a lot more then the previous manager, of signings and the luck of the draw in amazing talents. Gavin, Pedri, Yamal etc. He has benched 40m signings with little chance. We lost great players that fit our style of play, like Memphis and Fati. I think the statement showed that he , and it breaks my heart to say this about out great hero, isn't the right man for Barca. According to him, when he first arrived, he's not the right fit. Its hard to swollow this, but Xavi failed miserably. Were not in a bwtter pisition today then when he arrived. He should have promised to reflect on his performance, thanked the board for trusting his commitment instead of saying to try and compete with RM. Shame.
@@goodnews709 thanks. Yeah him blaming the Fairplay with so many talents that was provided to him and the support from the board, even if it's part of the problem, shows how much he's put of touch
Xavi deserved to be fired for lossing 3 Elclasico's coinciding 4 from Girona twice and coinciding 5 goals to Villarreal. When we lost to Man United he was supposed to fire for those results not saying the club is broke and we deal wirh what we can work work with!
I think you are spot on. Board is very delusional. Team performance has gone from bad to worse but these guys are acting like we won 2 champions league in last 3 years
This is exactly what these rumors are meant to do, get people talking, making people anxious. It's just another attempt to destabilize the club. Xavi didn't say anything that isn't already public knowledge. On the pitch, Barcelona has shown they are more than capable of competing with Madrid, just look at the two league games. If it were not for stupid individual errors in the CL, Barcelona would have easily made the Semi-Final and possibly the final. These small details can change an entire season.
We came second to the greatest team in the last 10 years. I think that’s a pretty good achievement. We’ve beaten them several times and won the league over them as well
Managment should be gone too! To me, it seems like Laporta and Deco are not at the same page at all, Laporta is also full of bullshit imo, full change is needed!
Clealry you dont know anything about. It xavi fault. How can you say how we have good player than next week blame the players!!!!!! And your saying its the management fault?!?

@@donottouch2392 i agree, but they should just let him go when he first said he would leave, now they will have to pay him myb, and they could already have new coach, we should go for Tuchel now or Flick
I was fan for the idea that Xavi should stay beyond the end of this season, but the moment he announced he wants to leave, I suddenly believed him. A new coach must come...Flick is my favourite to replace him as already announced that he will be Xavi's replacement.
I honesty think that we are going for tuchel now. The U-turn he took on extending his stay at Bayern, was surprising to say the least. It also conveniently alligns with Laporta's decision to sack Xavi. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can see something here 🤔
Xavi's recent comments about FC Barcelona's finances seem to serve a dual purpose - highlighting an obvious fact while subtly promoting himself by insinuating he could perform better with stronger financial backing. This dual stance can be seen as hypocritical, potentially mirroring sentiments within FCB management. Instead of drawing from his experiences with Girona, Bilbao, Getafe, Rayo Vallecano, Granada, Espanyol, and Valencia’s losses as a basis for comparison, Xavi's focus on financial constraints raises questions about his broader coaching perspectives. Understanding the budgets of clubs like Girona, Bilbao, Getafe, Rayo Vallecano, Granada, Espanyol, and Valencia, who have secured vital points against Barcelona, could provide valuable context. Xavi's significant role in player signings and departures, including accepting players like Ferran Torres, Romeo and Raphinha, keeping Roberto, while allowing departures like Aubameyang, Ansu Fati, and Adama Traore, prompts scrutiny of his decision-making and tactical flexibility. His coaching style, rooted in old football philosophies like "Cruyffism," may be hindering adaptability and performance. The truth fcbarcelona must face is that certain footall position are fast becoming outdated and the formations or playing styles that accommodates such footballers are also become outdated. The fact is that successful coaches are known for making the best of their resources, which seems lacking in Xavi's approach. Instead of Xavi's apparent preference for big-money signings, he must totally rely on homegrown talent. To truly test his coaching abilities, Xavi could consider a coaching role in a league like the Dutch Eredivisie, where budgets are more restricted, providing a different perspective without the luxury of a large recruitment budget. In essence, this critique suggests that Xavi's coaching approach at FC Barcelona may be hindered by a lack of holistic understanding the club’s situation and the evolving nation of footballing ideologies, potentially impacting the team's performance and development.
If this is true this is completely shameful, weather you think xavi should continue or not.The board were begging the man to stay for months, not to mention laporta cried at a press conference and said"Barca fans should be very proud of this man" referring to xavi, all for them to sack him because he spoke the truth
Jamie, I think you need to take a bow. I remember a couple of videos ago where you said something like it seems that the club have always liked the presence of Xavi to take away the heat from them. Xavi spoke the truth, and now he "might" be in jeopardy. I was blown away by these rumors as well. The thing is, Xavi wins no matter what happens. If they sack him, it will show to people outside that they are making brash decisions at the club without direction. If they leave him in, we will always know that this is what is on his mind and the heat gets thrown back on the club.
I am now absolutely certain that Barca desperately needs Wayne Rooney as manager. Sell Araujo, Gavi, Pedri and Yamal for financial improvement and invest the money into La Masia while using some of the money for a marquee signing like Lukaku or Antony. Disasi, Onana and Enzo are the other missing pieces in the Barca jigsaw. Moreover, Barca need Bartomeu back, cuz he's overseen some successful seasons and has atleast been honest and doesn't fake promises like Laporta. Barto better than Laporta in my books

If your opponent is asking for your coach to stay then you should ask yourself a big question. They know how bad he is which is why they want him to stay so they can keep on winning you all the time
Xavi basically repeating what Koeman said, the man that got Luuk, Braithwaite and Depay instead of Gundo, Cancelo, Roque, Kounde, Christensen, Martinez, Raphinha, Lewandowski, Felix and talents like Cubarsi, Yamal coming through. Lots of trainers would kill for that injection and actually play decent football. Xavi has done in amazing job i dont understand the hate. He literally has the worst team in years. My man is literally playing a 16 year old up front and a 17 year old in defense. Thats not even accounting that he had injuries to his most important midfielders for most of this season and he didnt even get a replacement for busequets . Thats not even noting that most mangers had messi… And hes competeing with this superteam madrid team😂 Xavi is an amazing coach
Real is signing Mbappe and trying to get Davies and Wirtz. Meanwhile we're loaning out a promising young striker to meet FFP rules (allegedly). Xavi told no lies.
As much as we hate to say it Xavi has instilled a horrible mentality on this team. He must go for the good of the club like he said back in March. It’s time for change and a winning mentality
This always comes down to money. Xavi's comments were realistic, but Laporta and the board deem them dangerous because they've just got done convincing Nike to increase their offer. They want to continue encouraging sponsors and investors into the club. Telling the world we can't hope to compete in that way threatens the money we'll be able to raise/bring in. This includes shirt sales and fan excitement, which are correlative. That's the only explanation I can think of that makes viable sense. No one sacks a manager just because of one normal presser.
Xavi is the best thing for Barca right now, Pep to inhis first year at mancity did not win the but Xavi won it last so by that we can see he is a quality coach. I belive he should be given time to build the team and be patient. This is not magic they need to understand there must be process

No one will, all these Barca channels are actually pro Laporta, no one is gonna question him, we will just change one coach after another and still vote him to power in 2026...Let's not forget, Font was the favourite to replace Bartomeu and Laporta came in suddenly, and sold us the Messi dream and nostalgia and all the creators and fans rooted for him suddenly. We either need an Arab Seikh to buy this club, or a Papa Perez in Catalunya to turn things around, period.

Laporta sold the fans a dream with Messi. Told the fans we’d emerge from the financial ruins within a few seasons, and he wants to keep selling that dream
Xavi said all those things just to cover up for his lack of tactics. Xavi’s statement also undermines the current players that we have which is not the best.
People don’t get it why Xavi was sacked that quote tells you the mentality of the coach because they trusted him next season to do more but saying this means if wins anything the next season is not his fault or it’s okay
What’s the point begging Xavi to stay only to sack him in the next couple weeks later? Laporta and his entourage aren’t fair to Xavi. They wanted him to keep quiet and absorb the pressure but Xavi was smart to let the media know the club can’t give him the project he dreams of hence fans shouldn’t expect much.
Let pray that our beloved Barca will stay at the top ten teams of La Liga if Xavier got sacked , Is La porta knows what is it means to win La liga with a squad of inexperience teen agers.??!! Barcelona for ever whatever happens ❤💜
We can very much still compete with the best. It’s not like we need to sign players like Haaland and Mbappe to win. Honestly I believe Barcas issue is a confidence and mentality issue
