Thank you for stopping by the channel. On today's episode we deep dive into the gearing ratio on the Arrma Felony, to see if we can uncover why the Felony eats tires so quickly. Spoiler, there's an issue! Did Arrma make a mistake from the factory? There's an easy fix, please tune in for more!

As I mention in the video, I do not recommend running the Felony tire size setup with a center spool/locked for speed runs, even with this fix. However, this mod, with a center and rear spool, utilizing the Felony tire setup, turn the Felony into a drifting monster! Link to ScorchedRC spools:

I swapped front and rear diff to give me 3 to 1, I have a spare 50t center diff for more torque drifting and drag racing. Had to put 3 shims in the front one

Off topic but is there any reason you couldn't run Felony rear tires on the front and rear of an Infraction?

What if we go same ratio front and rear and run GRP tires?

Switch pinion front rear will give you a ratio of 3 to 1

Great question! If you want to run the same size tires you can simply swap the front input gear with the rear input gear. Then they will be the same ratio. Cheers!

Does this include changing the Differential Oils or are you running stock ? I just got a New Arrma Felony and unfortunately it’s my first big RC purchase and I haven’t even tried it yet . I just recently purchased different type of differential oil that I would like to try. Maybe you can steer me in the right direction . I’m not looking to beat myself over speed runs . More of a drift and bashing . What I bought was 10/500/60 (F.C.R) do you recommend this for drifting and bashing ? Please and thank you for sharing your opinion.

Also I thought it was recommended to not use the 27 pinion unless it was for strictly speed runs . I’m just totally confused and don’t want to mess anything up .

What if i use a GP5 in the rear and instead of a GP6 and leave everything in the front the same, would that work?

You need a 15t input gear (ARA311016) as well as the front diff (part number ARA311023) in the rear. Check Arrma official forums for the exact how to. I'm waiting for my new diff and 15t input gear in the mail right now I'd leave the front input gear the same.

Arrma made it simple just switch the pinions front and rear it will give you a ratio of 3 front and rear. Run the same size tires like GRP's problem solved

You are correct, swapping those gears will give you the same size tires. What I do is drift with the 107/100 setup. So my rear and center diff are spools.
