Happens to me a lot, even after 20 years. For me, I think I fight with trying not to relight even though I know that's not a big deal.

Wow did not realize that. New to cigars and it has happened a couple of times.

I’m guilty of that myself I have a tendency to smoke too fast

Some of my cigars do that and some don't at the same pace. When I need to slow my pace the cigar eventually goes out. I'll let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes, but when I re-light and keep a slower pace the same thing happens.

Is it possible the cigars are slightly under humidified? Without proper humidity a cigar can burn fast/hot even if you pace yourself
@leevincent1639
@leevincent1639 Месяц назад
@@holtscigars I keep my cigars between 65 - 68 %, which has been ideal for many of them since I light up outdoors in Florida's high humidity. The biggest problem I have outdoors is with Alec Bradley's Black Market. It over-heats almost immediately no matter the pace or humidification (65 - 70 %).

I have this issue with some and not others. But when I feel it getting warm, I do slow down.

I really need to get back to Philly and come see you guys… it’s Always worth the drive, I’m only a few hours west in Altoona,Pennsylvania.. I always try my best to swing by when I’m in town… seriously though Holt’s has the best service in town its the best place to get your hands on some really amazing cigars.. from the rare finds to common cigar greatness they have it or can get it… both locations have whatever you need including absolutely amazing customer service… hopefully here before the summers out I can venture out that way and visit again… keep doing great things…

Honestly, at the end of a cigar, I like to cheer it up a bit to get the strong flavor, but I'm different 😊

I stick to a 2 puff per minute ish rule maybe one small primer puff and one long draw which will get the wrapper burning. Stick to that about every minute and you can smoke literally the entire cigar

Yeah it's really hot when I really like it and I get it down to a half inch or less and I'm drawing on it like a roach.
@southern_pride0
@southern_pride0 Месяц назад
how about once it gets to about 2 inches in length? it seems obvious to me that it’s just the heat from the tobacco burning but i figure it wouldn’t hurt to ask
@holtscigars
@holtscigars Месяц назад
You can try blowing through the cigar to get rid of some heat, but at that point you might just need another cigar 😂

I’ve been smoking cigars now for 6 months. Still new to the game. I find that this happens to me with a cigar I really enjoy. If I love the flavor I’m on that thing like a chunky guy on an ice cream cone.

Sometimes the cigar is just hitting too good making it a battle of willpower to slowdown. I have accidentally smoked half of a Toro in 10min

What about when the cigar taste gets bitter somewhere in the middle. Is it because I puff fast? Thanks
@holtscigars

Yes, that is one thing that can attribute to the cigar tasting bitter

Slow it down, if you need to re light there is nothing wrong with that.
