Have you ever heard about this complaint before? If so, did this video do anything to help ease that concern? If you liked this video, you might like my ninja creami playlist as well: ru-vid.com/group/PL_7Tp_C-EAJ8WLhJM-I2gTeUYB1mI-2Hm
This video is amazing. I am one of those folks that really enjoys understanding how a machine works but also wouldn't want to make the sacrifice of risking my own machine to learn this. I was just wondering about oingo boingo on the spindle as it's just not possible to clean without removing the cover. Do you, by chance, have one about "the how" behind an InstaPot or electric pressure cooker? I really want to under how pressure cooking food works, since it's medium is just basically water, but the food comes out so different if you just do the same recipe on the stove.
Ha! Great video Joe! Men love to take stuff apart and see how it works. 😆 But I'm telling you, if I took my machine apart like that there's no way I'd be able to put it back together. 😆
I'm so glad you made this video. Thank you!!! I've been asking this question for a couple years now myself. I have the Creami Breeze and I have had to brush the metal piece that is like a gear because the ice cream/protein drink gets stuck into the grooves, I have a toothbrush dedicated to my creami for cleaning that, but I've always wondered if it was pulling stuff up in and bringing it back down into my ice cream each time. I feel so relieved after watching your video.
Thank you, that’s the peace of mind I was looking for. I’d heard horror stories resulting in me selling my original Creami through fear of gunge getting inside it. Now got a new Deluxe model so I will enjoy it without fear 😊
Thank you for doing this video. I have been very concerned about the possibility of contamination. I think that I will still put the machine in my dishwasher on sanitize mode just to be sure.
Thank you, thank you so much, Joe❤It was always my concern if the inside of the machine was full of dairy mold with with sticky shaft..but there was no way to find it. You are so kind to share such a valuable info with us!Now I can use Ninja Creami with confidence. Thank you again❤️❤️❤️
@7531monkey Are you sure China is known for their 'quality'? Because to me all their other products are legendary but when it comes to blenders they are seriously off their game. Let's compare the American made vitamix to that so called total crushing ninja you'll see the big difference lol.
There should be a provision in the design of this wonderful device to easily dismantle it in order to access the parts that come in contact with the cream and other edibles, for easy deep cleaning and added peace of mind. It is reassuring that after two years, the seal of the blade shaft on this machine is still intact and functioning as it should!
I think having a switch that would just lower the shaft for cleaning would have put alot of people's minds at ease. But also, how hard is it just to run a cycle with hot soapy water once in awhile if its something that makes you uneasy. Of coarse as you showed at 2 years of regular use the seal is still doing its job so
@@JoesPhenomenal after seeing the inside of one I'm surprised ninja didn't do a switch for it. It literally would have been so easy. The only reason I can think for why they didn't is maybe the spinning while it moves up n down is easier on the seal than just pushing straight down through it
@@JoesPhenomenal it couldn't have cost that much more. Maybe 10 cents per machine at most when buying wire n switches in bulk. I mean I could go buy a 3 way toggle switch for $5 n wire it in like 5 minutes. After spending the 30 minutes it takes to get inside the machine first lol
@benmiller5015 I suppose it depends on volume... I suspect that Ninja might be keeping production numbers lower to make it viral.... I don't have any proof of that, but the fact that it sold out in a few seconds, repeatedly, kinda seems like that.
The issue I have is the metal shavings are getting into my ice cream from the shaft and the metal blade. It then collects at the top of the lid when you take the bowl out of the creami. 😢
Hmm.... thinking about that one.... is it shaving off on that metal to metal connection between to shaft and the paddle? sounds like maybe the blade is somehow slipping on the shaft gear and grinding that material out. Have you tried contacting Ninja to see if they can send you a new blade? That might help?
@Tonya_W Heya Tonya... Didn't say it was bs, but just that I haven't had it happen on any of mine yet... That seal can definitely fail, just like any other rubber seal (you see that happen on cars all the time) but I couldn't really get on that too terribly much since it didn't happen to me... I think I might have mentioned that it could be a concern down the road though. If I didn't, I meant to.
I love mine... A lot of people have had issues with the lids though... Trying to figure out exact what's going on there... I have 3 of them and they're all still working good.
@TheflyingkiwiRC yeah... I think the replacement lids are just something like 15 bucks... I've seen them send those out to people for free under warranty also.
So attempting to clean it with hot water and soap would be a detriment to the machine and it would wash away any of the pre- lubricant that came with the machine is my assumption.
i believe he was pointing at the pair of motor shafts, adjacent to the main shaft, that appear to be wet but actually have lubricant. if the main shaft had lubricant, we would be eating lubricant...
Actually it would have been better for views I think if it was full of rotten cream.... I think I was kind of hoping for that, now that I think about it.
If there is no residue and no water, theres nothing for the bacteria to grow and live off of. Any bacteria that could get through probably dies between uses
