Thank you so much for the advice!! I’m a junior in high school right now, and I’m trying to convey my passion for the arts, as well as special needs awareness. My gpa is good, but It’s not perfect by any means (3.8 UW & 4.1 W) so I’ll probably sign up for a few summer classes at my local community college to try to boost it. Overall, I’d say that my strength lies in growing up with a severely disabled brother, as well as the growth I’ve experienced throughout all of the ups and downs that came with it. My strongest ec is my nonprofit that I started in order to raise funds to create and host local social events for the special needs and handicapped youth/adult population of our community. This is something that has been super personal to me, as I wanted to start it after watching my brother have no social outlet for years after his graduation from his special education program at our local high school. There was really no where for him to go, as it was extremely difficult for him to move around and find new people. In honor of my brother, Dylan, I decided to name it the “DYLAN Organization.” It’s still very much a work in progress, but it’s going very well at the moment, and I’ve got a good chunk of people working on the project with me. I can’t wait to see what it becomes, and I sincerely hope it will be able to create a place for those with disabilities to connect and share quality time together. I have some other projects with similar goals, but this is my focus right now. Anyways, I’m glad I was able to share my passion with you guys, and I wish you all great luck in your college apps! 😁
My strength is I try to be broad minded always. I always look at a problem from every possible perspective. Although, it takes me way too much time to understand something but I surely don't give up until I get it !

I worked my ass off for national uni entrance exams now ivy seems a far fetched dream. Going to study some life science from local colleges I still don't know if I have the capability to continue science studies (scored 90% high school). I believe my strength is that I love to express my self through essays ,speeches and extempores(they are my fav) or normal conversation I m always ready to try new things and accept my mistakes I m not a perfectionist so whatever I do is fun and it becames a part of me.😊
Hello @crazy Medusa ... i have been watching your videos and i love the all.. it really gives me hope that i can atleast give a try to my dream university... i believe that my strength is the willingness to accept and try. Whenever someone comes up with something i have that willingness in me that says , come on girl you can do that , lets give it a try and dont accept defeat easily. I never turn down anything without actually experiencing or seeing it for myself. That is one of the reason why i have experienced and learn so many things so far that people my age dont know about.

Hey this might be a general concern or probably just mine but are there any sort of leadership activities the you can take up if your school does not provide any? Like many schools in India might tend to focus on grades more as it is the key point to get accepted into good Indian colleges, like in my school's case we only have like about 2 sports and that is just for leisure and all our other activities are things like poster making and things like that which varies as well so you can't stick to one option for too long. It would be nice to have some options which are outside of schools if there are any....

I like going to gym. I started a Blockchain community in my college. I have done some courses from coursera in psychology and from youtube professor Robert Sapolsky's Human Behaviour whole course. I think my strengths are Being able to learn very fast Being creative in what I do. Like when I learned to code, I had a lot of ideas and that kept me going till now cuz I just love bringing my imaginations to real life. Lastly I think God created me and said "go out there and teach" I love to teach so much which is why I am a tutor to kids on math and in a primary school. I'm actually going for Robotics engineering though because of my passion for machines and creativity. A few other things I find interesting and enjoyable are dancing and learning other languages. But my strength mainly lies in Teaching and building things.

mechanical to comp sci is not a big shift, I am pretty sure some of the projects in mech. can collab with programming abilities like the use of arduino and rasebrry pi.. so if you can put together some activities and projects showing interest in the CS field, it shouldn't be a big problem!

Hey, if you are talking in terms of financial status, then yes it could be an issue. But, you have to remember if you do get an admit to any ivy league which has need-based scholarships, they will do everything to have you here and provide financial aid. Main getaway point here is - to get in first! middle class has nothing to do with it. Good Luck!

I was a part of a dance group from school and have won Gold medal on district level but I don't think they have documents on that except some pics😅 Does that count and will a pic be enough? I also did martial art and helped my brother out with a non profit organization that gave new clothes to poor people. Again , no documents. Organization as in just him and me & my cousins
The point of the video was exactly this, there is no way of attaching a proof or document for any of your curricular when you apply. When you submit your documents, you have to be ethical and honest that's it. No one is going to ask a proof for any of your activities.
