This was SO helpful- thanks for all the angles! I have watched a few videos and thought the squeezing was narrow and along the uterine horns not across the whole stomach. I tried again after watching your video, waited for the kits to 'fall into my hand' and it worked!! I tried twice and felt at least two squishy lumpy grapes low by her legs and so, hopefully she is bred!!! I will find out in another week. First kits for me and this mama. Thanks again!

This is literally the best palpation demonstration I have seen. I've read stacks of books and seen several videos and none have been as helpful as this. All this time I've been hoping I was doing it right but not having anything concrete. I couldn't even get a good diagram of where a rabbit uterus was 😂 Your demonstration was just what I needed. I just got a bunny from someone who needed to rehome their bunny on the 16th of Aug. I don't know if she has gained weight, because I haven't had her long enough. She is an inside free roam litter trained bunny. So excited to have her. She even sleeps with me. About 5 days ago, she was nesting and even dug a hole in my mattress topper. I thought I felt something in her tummy but now I don't feel anything. As far as I know, this would be her first pregnancy if she is pregnant. She is a little more aggressive than she was at first. She does lay around a lot. When I first got her, I didn't feel her nipples but I do now. I had a bunny before but she was so tiny it was easy to know she was pregnant. This bunny is about the size of your black bunny 🐰. 15:01

This is also the best demonstration I have seen. Thanks so much for this video. What breed is that second doe? She looks just like my sister's New Zealand Red, who also is feisty and hormonal 😂

Great information! Wow. 31 days gestation. Thats quick. How many times can one rabbit have a litter of bunnies? Is there a number of births, or an age range where the females can breed safely?

No set # of births. They literally were made to breed, so they handle it fairly well. We breed them from 6 months old to 3 years old. They can continue breeding after that but by that point we have had at least 12 litters from her, so we say she's done.

Did you stop colony raising your rabbits? We don’t have space to tractor our buns, but I am so torn between colony and cage rearing.

We still have our colony. It currently has grow outs in it because I'm remodeling it some. We raise in a variety of ways so that we can show others how to raise rabbits the best that they can.
