What a fantastic thorough job you did with explaining my products (my babies) correctly Michelle! Thank you. I’m touched my your kind comments in the beginning. I constantly strive to solve my own issues with wigs and if a product I need is not available on the market, I try to create it. I figure if it works for me, then it will hopefully help my thousands of wig sisters, so I appreciate you bringing them to light. Thank you for all you do! Amy Gibson
Years ago, when I tried wearing wigs, the hair fibers at my temples would scratch me. This go around, I learned about the wig grip and that has solved my problem.
You do such a great job covering so many topics. Glad you decided to address this. Like you, I have a thin layer of bio hair between my scalp & wig cap so that’s not an issue, but at the nape and around my ears are where I feel itching mostly. 💕👩🦳
Thanks for your kind words! I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying my videos!☺ I hope you find a solution for the itching you are experiencing at the nape and around the ears.💖
🥰Your videos are always so informative! I do have thin/sparse/pixie bio hair. Alopecia. I do have sensitive skin. Use zero dye/perfume laundry soap, avoid perfumed lotion... Agree bamboo cap IS much softer than nylon and helps. I recently experienced itchy neck/nape with a handtied cap 😕 I thought it was due to extreme weather/108 feels like temperature 😳I used clips and or a 'pony' style to get the fibers off of my neck, thinking the heat was making me itch. WELL! I just checked my McQueen and sure enough there is permatease at the nape 🥴WHY it's made like that I don't know. IMHO there is enough fiber at the nape that I can cut off - VERY carefully - those 3 or 4 rows of permatease. I did do a 'test' run and pinned the offending fibers inside the cap ~ no itch!! McQueen is wonderfully comfortable everywhere else. No itch at the lace front or ear tabs. I love the style and have it in 2 colors. I'll cut one first and wear it. If that doesn't solve the issue, I'll use the tape you showed. 🤞the trim solves my itch.
Thanks so much, Sandy!☺ I'm surprised to hear that about a Belle Tress Lux Collection style! You could try smoothing the permatease a little with a hot comb, since McQueen is made with heat friendly synthetic fibers. Keep in mind that Belle Tress recommends a maximum heat of 350℉ on their HF fibers. Be sure to spray each section with water or a heat protectant prior to applying heat. As you probably know, it's normally not a good idea to pluck or trim the permatease because the wefts can then show through. Good luck, I hope you find a solution that works for you!💖
Some days I itch so much I want to rip my wig off!!! I have about the same amount of hair that you do, maybe a bit less. Nothing seems to work. I wonder if a light powder might work???
Hi Patti, I'm so sorry to hear that you have been uncomfortable in your wig! If you have already tried the solutions I discussed in my video and you have washed your wig (some people are allergic to the silicone coating on the fibers) and your wig is still itchy, I would suggest seeing a doctor. I have heard that some people are allergic to synthetic fibers. This is something you would need to discuss with your doctor. You might need to wear a human hair wig. I hope you find a solution that works for you!💖
