I am on keto and have drinked this before. It does not spike blood sugar. It taste good. I wouldn't go overboard on it but this is the best soda I have seen.
Recently switched from cokes, they don’t make my teeth feel like their rotting or make me feel like junk. So far I’ve had cream soda, dr zevia, rootbeer, and citrus. Cream soda was so spot on but I really like them all
I needed to get off sugary sodas, so I tried alternatives like Zevia and other Stevia-based drinks. Ironically they unexpectedly made me give up my desire to drink soda because they all had a weird after-taste to me. So much so that whenever I think about drinking a soda, I quickly remember how off they tasted after and it curbs my desire right away. So I guess I have to thank Zevia/Stevia for curing my soda habit.
i had the same thing, but last year coca cola zero changed the formula, and now it tastes great. It still has a bit of an after tase but not a bad one so you will get used to it after a week or so. And the strange thing is that i did drink a normal coca cola yesterday , and thought that it tasted bad because of all the sugar that tasted as waaaaaaaay too much. And i lost 10 pounds since i started to drink zero sugar, and that was the reason to to start to drink zero sugar, because my belly got too fat and i hate that. And i still eat chocolate as usual, but no more 2 liters of cola with sugar because that's alot of sugar each month.
Zevia lemon lime twist, black cherry and grape soda are the best in my opinion. So many times I have soda cravings and these help me keep away from binging on sugary soda drinks.
I am so glad that you did a video on this product. I recently started to drink ZEVIA, because it was recommended to me by a friend. I asked my doctor if it was good for me, and she said yes, because of the stevia leaf as a sweetener. I drink one a day, and have about 4 oz of avocado ice cream just to satisfy the sweet cravings. Thank you for this video. I really appreciate you. Stay safe
I have gestational diabetes and it's one of the best treats once in a while. Thank you for the video! I've had zevia in the past with previous diet plans I had been on and this has definitely helped!
@@brandnueweightloss im in the early stages of diabetes so im trying to turn it around i was drinking powerade zero i switched to cola zero im a big drinker so with control i was drinking 40-55oz of powerade zero per day from the vid it sounds this change is going to greatly improve my health and help with weightloss?
A friend of mine introduced me to Zevia about 2 years ago. Absolutely love all of the flavors except for cream soda. It's helped me get off and stay off of bad sodas like Dr pepper Pepsi and all that other stuff. Occasionally I will have a Pepsi but on the whole 90% of the time it's Xavier or something that has cane sugar. Love this product always talk about it to everybody.
Absolutely love Zevia! We now carry 10 flavors for our guests at the Roanoke Pinball Museum. I gave up soda years ago due to it being such an unhealthy product, but missed the fun of popping a sweet fizzy cold drink now and again. It's like having my cake and eating it too without any artificial sweeteners or sugar. Ginger Root Beer, Ginger Ale, Cream Soda, Black Cherry... lots of favorites in the lineup. I did not care for Dr. Zevia, Cola, or Caffeine-Free Cola (seems the big drink producers do cola flavors better) but the Cherry Cola is good. I wish more people knew about this product... it's great! They should have samplings of all the flavors from a traveling van wrapped in a graphic logo, etc. Traditional HFCS sodas are a huge health drain upon the nation. Need to kick that habit!
I use them to mix whiskey drinks with. Whiskey is a great booze to drink when trying to keep the pounds off. And mixed with the zero cal ginger ale it fucks you up without the burden of a beer gut
I've had at most 6 zevia sodas back to back, I wouldn't recommend, as too much of a good thing can be bad but I didn't have any negative side effects. I would say that it is safe and tastes ok. I've drank the Creamy Root Beer, Coke, Ginger Ale, etc.
Love the Cherry Cola and Black Cherry. Be warned that for intermittent fasting, it can increase your cravings to eat…so I don’t drink it while fasting, only with one of my meals. Does have a little bit of stevia aftertaste, but if it’s served cold, not bad at all.
Just recently tried Zevia and my favorite so far of the Cola, ginger ale, and root beer is the Cola flavor. Once you get over the clear look of the Cola it's quite good. Not all flavors are found around these parts, I may have to order the case so I can try all the flavors. I'm now saying goodbye to the diet sodas.
Haven’t drank a soft drink in almost 8 months :) My girlfriend was hooked on soft drinks especially cokes and she lost 15 lbs just by not drinking sodas anymore. Love Z soda!
At first i thought they tasted awful, but after eliminating all sugar from my diet and going Keto, my taste shifted and now i absolutely love them! And no artificial color as well! Big fan of the cola and the ginger ale!
Just jumped on the Zevia train. Stopped drinking a year ago, just wanted something besides water once in a while. Only had the creamy root beer, it was good. I'll try the other ones now too
I have seen Zevia around for a few years now. I have never tried it until very recently. I thought the name was a play on stevia, which it is, and which I have been using sparsely for more than ten years. The cola was excellent. It tasted similar to my favorite soda, coca cola, with a lesser amount of sugar taste. I loved it. The grape flavor was not as good. The grape flavor only had just a hint of grape flavor and more of a carbonated water taste. I will try the other suggested flavors in this video and the comments. I started drinking Zevia recently to help reverse diabetes and lose weight. I loss four pounds over three days forgoing Coca Cola and drinking Zevia combined with low calorie and low sugar or no sugar diet. So far, since Zevia has been tested to not have any adverse health effects, *IT'S A WINNER!!!*
i am not a fan of carbonated drinks but i am also not a fan of coffee, so i found this product and since I'm doing keto i found this to be a nice treat from time to time. for those sugar carvings. it does have an after taste that some people don't like when they try it at first, but you get used to it quick enough.
A few things to know is that they taste the best when they are super cold, the orange has to be cold and needs ice and they all make wonderful ice cream floats. Don’t give up on it the first time you try it because eventually it WILL hit that spot. I’m not a big fan of the taste of stevia but I prefer Zevia over sugar sodas any day in knowing that I’m not being poisoned. #1 spot- root beer and cream soda. #2 spot- grape and orange. #3 spot- cola, black cherry, lemon lime, #4 spot- strawberry
I have cola, cherry cola, dark cherry, grape, orange, cream soda, and Mountain Dew flavors. I love them all. They gave me my sanity back and taste awesome.
I recently stopped drinking sodas. And started swapping some of my fav things for healthier alternatives. I feel like my taste buds has start to change because they healthier items are starting to taste good now and this zevia has been a big hit for me.
I love the zevia soda every now and then if I’m wanting a soda and the gingerale and Coca Cola is good but I have one if my stomach is upset just because I can’t get into sparkling water for some reason.
I’ve been off sugar for over 2 weeks. I’m feeling much better and looking better. The sugar cravings were killing me, I tried the black cherry Zevia and it hit the spot!!!🍒 it’s so good! I’m trying to not overdue it though.
I have a related but different question about Zevia. I've heard aluminum cans are lined with plastic. What is Zevia lined with and if it's lined with plastic or something similar what are the dangers of leaching into the soda?
Zevia Fruit Punch, kids size, 7.5 oz tastes pretty much like Hawaiian Punch, it is king of Zevia in my book. Orange in the 12 oz can is very good, Root-beer 12 oz is around a B grade, Dr Pepper 12 oz is very good. Buying the variety 24 in a case changes it up and is good, also a good caffeine free flavor. Some of the flavors taste like a variation of Ginger ale which are good if you happen to like Ginger ale. The cola's are pretty good. I was drinking 6 to 8 diet Pepsi's a day, sometimes more for years until a dietitian told me what it was doing to my body including weight gain in some round-about way which she made sound believable. I do nothing in moderation including drinking Zevia, I'm sure I drink too much of it but it sounds like I'm doing better with the Zevia than all those diet Pepsi's. Grocery stores have a limited variety so do yourself a favor and have Amazon drop it on your front porch......I was hardcore diet Pepsi and switched overnight with no pleasure loss at all. I sometimes bring it to restaurants. Good Dr Nuesse might not like me suggesting adding a half cup of pineapple juice on occasion but it makes the cola and fruit punch taste like a Polynesian delight, hmm, a healthier Mai Tie maybe. Zevia is clear so drinking it out of the can helps to heighten your expectations. ...Now if I could fall in love with those healthy hamburgers which...I have yet to try.
I used to drink Zevia in the past, but the flavor still takes sometime to get used to. I would recommend the Cherry Cola over the regular cola flavor. I thought the Mountain Zevia was the once that most closely resembles the original product. Recently, I discovered a new soda called Green Cola. They also use stevia instead of sugar and it seems to pack better flavor then Zevia. I would be interested to see what your thoughts are on Green Cola.
@@moobyworldmine It wouldn't be sugar. Naturally derived sugars or naturally occurring sugars are accounted for in nutritional labels. Labels usually distinguish naturally occurring and added sugars. Natural flavors are different. This is the full FDA definition: The term natural flavor or natural flavoring means the essential oil, oleoresin, essence or extractive, protein hydrolysate, distillate, or any product of roasting, heating or enzymolysis, which contains the flavoring constituents derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetable or vegetable juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf or similar plant material, meat, seafood, poultry, eggs, dairy products, or fermentation products thereof, whose significant function in food is flavoring rather than nutritional.
I drink Zevia, because many people say that aspartame is bad for you and supposedly Stevia isn’t. I hope that some day that will be definitively proven. So for now, I do drink it, but I don’t hesitate to admit that it doesn’t taste as good as drinks sweetened with aspartame.
I’ve tried a couple of different flavors of zevia. To be honest, I think it’s pretty good. I’ve tried diet soda but didn’t work out for me because of aspartame and nearly ruined my vision
I love zevia. I go overboard with it. I drink about 60 of these a month. I mix them with whiskey. No health problems that I know of. I do have a belly but that’s Probly from the whiskey. I can’t even stand regular soda anymore I almost spit it out if I’m forced to drink it at a friends house or someplace. Regular soda taste disgusting to me now
Black cherry is the only one that is too sweet for me. But I'm OK with them all. It is a somewhat acquired taste but now I know nothing else. I am a huge fan of Zevia sodas. Thanks for the info.
Thanks doc I ran through your channel and subscribed. Plus I always was interested in this product since I have up in all diet sodas, it will definitely help me with my diabetes and weight loss. Thanks again.👍
I noticed you said it artificially sweetens the cola but if you read the leaf it says its a sugar alternative because it is its own entity its not sugar imitation its its own sweetener.
I’ve seen the Zevia soda but I haven’t tried yet. I’m giving up Coke Zero for the zevia one. So far I’ve lost 20 lb with diet and exercise. I don’t Plan to lose more I feel great.
If you are trying Zevia for the first time, your taste buds will be comparing stevia to the sugar that theyre used to. In other words, it will take a bit of time and several sips for your taste buds to get used to the new type of 'sweet'. I would recommend getting at least two cans for any initial taste test. It gets better with the second can, and then you will love the taste of Zevia in all its wonderful flavors. It helped me lose weight without trying.
Zevia cola products are totally healthy. My nephrologist told me so. I have kidney failure and I’m on dialysis, my doctor recommends I stick to these drinks and stay away from diet sodas and regular sodas. I don’t think my kidney doctor would tell me it’s OK if it wasn’t. They recommend kidney failure patients who like to drink sodas drink these instead. They have no artificial colors or sweeteners, they are plant-based and use Stevia as their sweetener. All natural. There’s also no food color or brown dye added to it for color. Regular sodas and diet sodas with brown dye contain a lot of phosphorus, also bad for someone on kidney dialysis.
@@walterwhite1 don’t be a moron, nobody said water wasn’t the best for you. We are saying that if you love sodas, switch to Zevia because it’s not bad for you and it’s a healthier option. Don’t be a jerk.
@@walterwhite1 yes, Aspartame which is in Diet Coke and other diet drinks may cause cancer. Zevia uses Stevia which is a plant-based sweetener. It does not cause cancer. Do you research before you start making false claims.
Zevia has been a great find for me. I used to drink Diet Coke and Diet Dr. Pepper, but I began having weird side effects. I’d have an odd sweet taste in my mouth constantly. It wouldn’t go away for hours and hours, sometimes until the next day after drinking one. With all I’ve read about aspartame, I know it’s not good for us. I drink much more water now, but when I really want a cold soda, I reach for my Zevia.
My favorite flavor is the cola because it reminds me of a healthier Diet Pepsi. I need to stop drinking such sugary drinks, and I love cola so if you love cola but want to stop because of sugar, than just get Zevia it’s a awesome product !
So my boyfriend was told that by not changing his diet and by only cutting out soda he'd lose a significant amount of weight and so he has switched to this drink and he has been drinking these for over a year now and isn't seeing any changes, and I told him well you have to realise what you eat plays a big roll and having a good 3 solid meals is what you need to start seeing a difference, and he only eats one meal a day and not healthy at all unless I'm doing the cooking.. and when I was trying to explain this he got mad.. so i just gave up with trying to tell what I think he needs to work on
@@brandnueweightloss I'm definitely supporting him but if he's going to continue to not eat healthy along with cutting out soda I don't see how he will lose weight, I keep hearing 80% is eating clean and the other 20% is exercising he has the exercising part down cause he stays active due to his job but only eating one meal a day the body is going to hold on to the that fat he has at the moment making it difficult to lose anything.
@@ramayastowell192 not true. Theirs many many studies on OMAD(One meal a day) and support groups where people utilize this. I have done it and lost 20 lbs. if he’s doing it correctly, it’s all about calories in and calories out. If he’s eating more calories than he’s burning, he will gain, if he’s eating the same amount of calories he’s burning he will still the same. I eat whatever I want and make sure not to over do it. Today I had fries with chicken and cheese came out to about 2000 calories, I lost 3000 for the day. So that’s 1000 calories that go toward my weight lose(3500 calories = 1 lb) It’s not for everyone but if he’s eating one meal a day already, might as well try it. Just gotta be mindful of what he’s in taking.
@@JoseJOnlinethanks for explaining that, its been 5 months since posting this and he's still been the same pretty much, like he tries to have something for breakfast usually its coffee for sure can't live without that lol but the food often changes in what he eats and the amount he eats for breakfast and literally through his day for work he won't eat at all until I make him something or he finds something to eat, last night he made fries with the deep fryer and Made some chicken strips with the air fryer but he didn't end up eating it all and ended up eating cereal instead so so he is definitely not meeting the calories met that he should have in a day to begin with I don't think or its constantly fluctuates
@@ramayastowell192 It's not just the calories you eat or rather consume, IT'S WHERE THOSE CALORIES COME FROM. For instance, here is a very specific example. You said that your partner cut out soda. Let's say he was handed 150 calories of chips (like Doritos) and 150 calories of Almonds. I know one is a lot more exciting than the other, but one is definitely a lot more exciting for your health and wellness. (unsalted) Almonds have fiber and healthy fats. Nutritional benefits. Another example, I'll stick with Almonds. 140 calories in almonds or 140 calories in soda. Again, sure calories are important, but perhaps more important is WHERE THEY COME FROM. Lastly, it can't just be what you eat, you gotta move your body. It's about balance, and balance doesn't necessarily need to be 50/50 but it can't be way off either. Remember where your calories come from is CRUCIAL to seeing results. Also colorful foods like blueberries, and peppers, and what not. Yes they have a sugar in them but it again, where is the sugar coming from, is it coming from candy or fruits like blueberries. Hope this helps.
Just trying the Caffeine Free Cola one. Yuck. I hate the taste of diet cola. But, I'm going to see if I can get used to this. I quit drinking regular Cokes a couple months ago, and I'm trying to eat almost no sugar. Eating fruits for sweets and a hard candy once in awhile. I've been drinking a lot of water.
Ginger Ale, Cream Soda, Ginger Root Beer, Creamy Root Beer, Black Cherry, Mountain Zevia, Cherry Cola... all of these have been popular with our guests. I don't think Zevia does cola as well as the big guys, but some of their other flavors are tops!
i bought 2 cases from sams club, got through 1 case and realized for some reason my sodium levels got tanked, so i stopped drinking it an stopped having muscle spasms
Zevia helped me to cut back on soda as it has an after taste so it would take me longer to drink it..I only drank it when I craved a soda…Thanks for the information
We tell out clients that at least half of their fluid intake each day should be plain water. I haven't read anything linking this product to weight gain or digestive problems.
I don’t understand why people are addicted to the diet soda flavor but a lot of people are putting that as a plus. The soda tastes good. I have only tried the Root Beer and Cream Soda flavors as of now. The root beer flavor definitely tastes better than the cream soda flavor in my opinion. Glad to here its healthy to but only originality got it because it i had got a chance to taste the root beer flavor and liked it and its not that popular so its always in stock.
I've always had 3 vices for soda, Barq's root beer, Coke Zero and Diet Dr Pepper even though I know none of those are good for you. I finally decided to give Zevia a try saying it was on sale and picked up the Cherry Cola and Dr Zevia. Both are real good and I can see helping push those others out. Personally I like the Dr Zevia a bit better.
I guess my question is, are we sure it has absolutely zero negative side effects? I totally trust what you're saying. It's all natural....But it's definitely all chemically processed too, and you can't just get a root beer flavor (for example) out of some rare tree bark or something. I mean, it's not like they just physically smashed a few leaves together, and here we have a particularly flavored soda. I've had some of this, and it doesn't taste too bad compared to the aftertastes of anything that has aspartame/cancer causing BS. And it's clearly better (less bad) for you than diet soda in general anyway. With all that being said, why is this not a LOT more popular? Sounds like a miracle soda that's a little too good to be true. Maybe it just hasn't gotten the publicity?
Our whole family has enjoyed Zevia for a couple years now. I just saw that the Cola has caffeine. What?? I’ll have to check that out at home. I would highly recommend. Only thing I would have then change is the that some of them are too sweet. Especially the ginger ale and any of the fruity ones… grape, orange, cherry. Just tried Vanilla Cola 😯😯😯
Diet Coke hauntily creeps up and adds at least 1.5 pounds of weight gain, whenever consumed after a workout. I've learned this the hard way. Yet I still reach for it anyway. 😖 Definitely need a replacement. I'll this product a try.
