Ha, I made this video when I was 13. Weird seeing people still commenting on it, because its like an objectively BAD video, but you know dead space is sick so I get it lol RIP Visceral Games, maybe EA will pick that IP back up some day. Edit: Dead Space remake was just announced moments ago. Lets see how this goes edit2: okay yeah it was pretty good
Theory as to why we haven't seen a new Deadspace game: After the last one Isaac Clarke just solo killed the brethren moons with a plasma cutter and it wouldn't have made that interesting of a game. Also for being 13, ya did pretty good.
You forgot him having the balls to headbutt a necromorph whose face had just exploded into a bed of viscera and bony mandibles without a helmet on at the beginning of the game!
I have a theory. Having created the marker, he figured out the marker signal and rigged his R. I. G. to help his brain transmit a modified version of the Marker signal. By going directly to the Marker and defeating Nicole within his mind, the Marker ran out of stuff to screw with his mind with and he was able to zap it with whatever weird technology the Marker itself uses. In DS1, the Marker never stopped working even after it was blown up. In DS2, it was irrevocably destroyed with its own signal.
I feel bad for Issac. He was never a soldier or any type of trained badass. He was just your average engineer and working joe. Who wanted to find his girlfriend. But then he had to fight hords of zombie aliens. Had to save the galaxy 3 different times. Got thrown into an asylum. Had horrible experiments conducted on him. And suffered from horrifying hallucinations.
Not to mention in the intro to Dead Space 3, Isaac survives a Necromorph infestation without his armour and gets sucked into space without his armour helmet on before retrieving it without blacking out.
@Mario Perez He is a CEC Engineer after all. They were probably taught about this in their training, after all they're going to be fixing things in outer space a lot and accidents do happen.
I agree up to now I still cherish Isaac's armour suit design till this very day and replaying the series quite recently boy I love this especially 2 and 3
@@Jayboe1123 those suits in dead space 3 look really good. One thing i like about deadspace is the helmet light. It takes the form of the visor in the helmet.
@@NiCoNiCoNiCola Tony has done some pretty badass stuff, even without his suit. That aside, it doesn't take away how cool some of these Dead Space moments are.
Theory: the foam finger actually makes sense; after Isaac’s repeated exposure and special connection to the marker he developed an actual control over the signal. The foam finger acts an aide device while his subconscious mind defends him and disrupts the functionality of the signal in the necromorphs.
6:11 is badass. I feel like he treats a superhuman psychological hallucination as if it was an extremely annoying problem that he has become completely fed up with.
The greatness of Isaac Clarke: his character arc is all about accepting the ways that the force that took Nicole is corrupting his process of grieving her. He's scared the whole game through because he has to continue confronting not only the necromorphs, but the way the necromorph force has twisted his memories of his love. Here, inside his own head, he finally accepts that the Nicole he's been seeing and remembering is not who she really was, and it's what allows him to win. The true ending of the game shows him in pride, having overcome not only a horrifying universe-threatening power, but also the cruel visions of Nicole. Amazing stuff.
@@brittonkelley6231 where did you get a picture of me during your profile pic did you take a picture of me wandering around the ishimure or Titan station ?
What makes him badass is because he isn't the stereotypical macho character from hollywood and action games. He's just a normal person like us, with fears and feelings.
@@figuregod5142 remember that one time he just woke up and headbutted a necromorph and had to escaoe the facility while being restraint, talk about a rough morning
girlfriend stuck in space goes to space to save girlfriend. girlfriend has been dead all this time get second girlfriend second girlfriend leaves him for someone else second girlfriend gets stuck in space Isaac Clarke: Ah shit, here we go again
And then Earth gets devoured by tentacle moons meaning the supply of new girlfriends has just run out... Truly the darkest fate for Mr Clarke's wiener.
Let’s not ignore the fact that Ellie did some incredible flying at the end there. Spinning around the Marker while keeping it steady enough for Isaac to fly in, and then knowing how to set it to autopilot to do the same thing? She works security and she pilots like a pro. Wash from Firefly would be proud. That’s some Crazy Ivan shit.
I like to think that Issac, Doom Slayer, and Master Chief are just sitting at a bar drinking beer while talking about how they fought off hordes of infected
Yeah. Even without his suit Isaac can actually punch so hard that he de-limbs even dangerous Necromorphs with just 2 or so haymakers, on the hardest difficulties in game. His strength is absolutely no joke
The fact that Isaac Clarke's VA and face model was in the movie Underwater, but he gets killed at the beginning of the movie in a distance shot is what I call a waste of talent.
@@kaitlinm8085 He's one of the guys the lead sees at the end of a hallway before it gets flooded, thats all I know from reading. I liked that movie too.
His mental abilities have grown so much that he reverses the Marker mind fuckery onto the Necromorphs and they just explode when he points a finger at them.
4:00 I love how they made it have no sound in this scene besides Isaac’s breathing. Most games have loud explosions in a scene like this but Dead Space kept it real. I like that.
Isaac Clarke: "Man, I'm just the engineer, and suddenly I'm 'sposed to deal with all this crazy monster bullshit while everyone around me dies." Gordon Freeman: "Shit man, preachin' to the choir. At least you got a third game."
I live this kind of badass, not the one who tries too hard or is just badass to be badass (doom slayer), but the kind who is badass for the simple fact that they refuse to die.
3:14 “I’ll be there! I’LL BE THERE!” **proceeds to launch himself with pinpoint accuracy into a small structure in the distance** Isaac Clarke, ladies and gentlemen! 5:08 ... One of the only men in existence capable of killing an undead monster with mere words. _BANG!_
All the times I played dead space 2 and my brain could never compute that this titan of a man performed an orbital drop through a building to link his girlfriend lmao
I love to think how Ellie’s reaction would have been when she told Isaac that there is no way he could possibly get to her on time from the solar array that’s miles above of her. Then just a couple seconds later he comes crashing through the ceiling in the coolest most superhero style landing there is.
Isaac Clarke is a straight up badass! No matter how big his enemies are, he always fucks them up and never backs down! Which is what makes Isaac such a great character! :D
Sometimes I forget how dead space is only of the fewest games that actually gets space diving just right; the moments where the game ejects you out of the space's wilderness where you can't hear any single decibel other than Isaac's breathing coupled with his heart's monitor, and while a chaotic scene plays out in front of your eyes is nothing short but pure visual poetry.
This reminds me how awesome DS2 was. It had one of the best action sequence blended in with horror elements you'll ever find in video games. So sad they screwed up DS3.
***** It wasn't a bad game, but it was a rush-out, and not a Dead Space anymore. Just like Resident Evil. But at least, CAPCOM took 4 games to completely destroyed the franchise, EA took only 3. Nice job.
+Thaibiohazard123 I think "destorying a franchise" is a bit much. At most i would call it a low point in the series. Heres hoping there is a dead space 4 though so they can rectify it.
+The Look Away There can't be, otherwise the storyline would be screwed. Isaac Clarke died at the end of 3. As sad as it is, that was the end of his story.
This man Isaac Clarke know as "the marker killer" has been faced with a FUCKING MOON CREATURE THING that has a incredible size this man has faced countless necromorphs has faced the death of some of his friends and including his girlfriend (Nicole) against the moon creature thing he has said " you can't have us" while bleeding out the side of his head he has been shot with javilines to the shoulder and arm AND IS STILL SOME HOW ALIVE that ladies and gentleman is why Isaac Clarke is amazing * gasps for air*
King Fancy he clearly is more badass but i dont think you can compare lee and isaac lee is a teacher frome the early 21th century in a zombie apocalypse isaac is an engineer from the 25th century in idk an alien-zombie apocalypse thing? well the moon found the earth and probably devoured every living cell on it
I don't know why, but 3:22 is just so cool to me. The fact that you're zooming past debris in space and all you hear are the beeps of Issac's suit and his breathing.
Everybody's like, "Look at the Doom Guy murdering a billion demons!" And I'm just here like, "Watch this out of shape engineer fight off an endless horde of Cthulhu's zombie spunk monsters."
Man i can't wait for Motive to remake this masterpiece oh god that final sequence with ghost Nicole and the Marker, that badass intro scene with him headbutting one and escaping a horde of necromorphs and the crazy monsters especially the children ones, god i wonder how terrifyingly beautiful they're gonna be
Kronshtadt well.. he does have dementia or something where he hallucinates his girlfriend angrily threatening him and stuff while Isaac fights it. Not to mention that this only happens in some moments
I'm glad they didn't just make him a boring stoic character like many protagonists. You can actually hear emotion and sometimes fear during intense scenes.
@@GruigiTheFirst5008 and master chief plus fuck you ubermorph always messing me up when I'm trying to kill other necromorphs that are getting in my way
"Plot armor" my ass. You fuck up any qte, misjudge a puzzle, go into a combat underequipped, or just plain dont pay attention, and Isaac suffers a gruesome death.
I find it interesting how whilst everyone else is driven insane by the Marker’s influence, Isaac manages to keep his head on straight simply by acknowledging the cause of his hallucinations. He is fully aware that Nicole’s ghost isn’t haunting him, it’s just what the Marker wants him to see and hear, so he’s able to rationalise its manipulations. He even tries to get Stross and later Carver to realise this so they too can resist like he can, encouraging them to recognise their hallucinations aren’t real.
I always loved this scene with the Tormentor. Word from the wise: play this game with headphones, youll be very happy you did (the end scene is a great example of why).
