While this TED is different from what we're used to (or even what most of us like to watch) - I still think this particular talk is just fine! It provided a nice (albeit predictably boring) look into the mind of this fun designer. It's nice to have a confirmation of what these fashion guys are like on the inside; and we've got to admit they're well suited to their niche in life. If being slightly with everything is his mantra, we all are slightly bored with his talk, but in a good way :)

Art Fashion and Interpretive Dance...two art forms I'll never understand. What the talk should have been about is how fashion is undermining the ability of our young women to focus on anything of import. If your only charge is to look pretty you're not going to be an interesting person. Anyway, activism aside, I didn't mind his rambling too much, but I did think it was a bit self-aggrandizing.

It worries me that so many people watched this and just had so much trouble taking anything away because it wasn’t in a neat package

hahahahahhaha... he's so funny yet what he says makes a lot of meaning to me. I used to feel very ashamed of being a "jack of all trades" sort of person... I thought getting bored was a negative trait.

I am not following anything he is trying to say. What is his point and why is he showing a cooking-program as the finishing statement? I know TED is about sharing ideas, hence wrapped up in creativity, but what is this guys idea, other than shirts with holes in them. Someone please explain what he is trying to tell me!

I think what he's trying to tell you may be more of a showing than a telling. He's taking his audience on a journey through his process for becoming inspired and engaging in life by expressing himself in kind of a lightly sculpted but organic way. He's showing how his mind works by illustrating certain principles, while backing away from those principles as solid assertions. It's kind of the opposite of what your high school teacher taught you about how to clearly express an idea. The idea isn't clarity, but spontaneity, charm, a rush of thoughts He is showing how he works hard by approaching life as a child as a way to constantly generate ideas about everything. So he speaks in larger themes, like all ideas comes back to food, or mistakes can be fabulous adventures. I'm guessing Mizrahi is a fantastically smart guy and kickass bridge player who sets about trying to confuse his left-brain so that his right-brain can come up with new plays in his wacky bridge game of life.

Some funny lines, one or two somewhat interesting thoughts on life, but otherwise it's just what IslandHermit said...some guy talking about himself. More self indulgent than inspirational, this definitely doesn't fit into TED imo.

Well...it wasn`t what I expected but I`ve come to expect that from TED! I know a woman who thinks somewhat like this, dong as many things as possibel to avoid growing dull. She is living a diverse and inspired life and it`s infectious! People should have a person like this in their lives. They can be good for the soul!

this is so inspiring for anyone who is hesitant to follow the flash of beauty they think they saw out of the corner of their eye no matter how weird or awkward a situation it gets them into. It's great that he also has the outlet (fashion) to share that beauty with the rest of the world. Great talk!

I'm not gay. I'm not fashionably savvy. I'm not a fashion designer. But, for Isaac to share his thought on how he gets his idea for a fashion - his life, it is something that I sickeningly want to know. This video is best describe as Dead Cow. I like to eat beef, but the thought that the beef coming from a dead cow, is very sickening to know. :-) Thanks TED for the wonderful video.

I'm so glad that this doesn't have as much views as the other TEDs. Sometimes I wonder what goes through people's minds when they go for mindless crap like this. Dude seems nice though
