There are very few skaters today who interpret the music the way Isabeau does. Simply stunning! Every nuance of the music choreographed so beautifully.
May favorite moment is at the beginning of the choreo sequence, when she grabs her right leg extended to the side and then, while on an outside edge, slowly moves the extended leg to the back to create a spiral. And she takes her time in doing it. So beautiful. Thanks.
I loved her first axel. It was so, for a lack of a better word, pretty!! I wish her the best of health for a great season ahead. Such a beautiful and talented skater.
What a remarkable skater Isabeau is she literally radiates such grace and elegance in her movements that how can anyone not be impressed. She is representing the USA 🇺🇸 amazingly! 🫶🏼👏🏼😃🎉
She has straightened up her jumps a bit, so hopefully she will keep improving. I love watching her skate and wish she had a new coach that would help her with her jumping technique.
We all don't walk alike, her uniqueness and quality is so loved by the audience. If we all walked the same then we should all skate the same, so that was never the plan.
My Lord she brings the love of Figure skating to the world...pure creativity to keep our attention. Great Program where we all can relate to. I love her footwork more and more too, great edge quality.🥰
I just don't understand her component scores relative to other skaters. She is remarkable. So elegant and effortless. She lands jumps as if she weighs no more than a feather. I love her Lutz enterance - it looks like a Loop enterence.
As someone who has watched every ladies competitive free skate for 31 years, I only can recall a few standout skaters in that time. I’ve seen plenty of wonderful jumps from so many skaters, I cannot recall all their names. What Isabeau has, it cannot be taught, it’s a rarity that we don’t see much of in skating anymore. This is a skater who doesn’t need ‘perfect jumps’ to create such soulful magic.
I disagree. I don't think she is a natural. Her posture as she transitions across the ice is bent forward; ungraceful. Her jumps (as you noticed) are far from perfect. Her speed and energy are lacking. She would not medal if the Russian girls were competing.
In this particular program you can see the improvement of her jumps. All jumps were completed and the landings were absolutely clean. I want to say she reminds me of...but she doesn't. Her style is classical, elegant, lyrical and unique. She skates with a mature sense of self. I can't wait to see how the international judges will score her elegant skating against the quad squad.
Not only does Isabeau have good skating skills, she also has beautiful lines and moves like a dancer. Her jump take offs are what they are, but the rest is exquisite. @@Bnizzofashizzo
@@elisabethanderson7124 ummm… I know you really really really believe that but you’re incorrect. Her small jumps are just the start of her problem. She hits good position sometimes but at best it is Nas level Skating skills. Not remotely. Sorry for telling you the truth.
@@BnizzofashizzoYeah, your completely wrong. Her skating skills, power and Lines are her strongest features. She’s skates super fast(when she’s not jumping), her edges are crisp and clear in and out of all those difficult one foot turns and her jumps are high despite the lack of speed due to her amazingly deep knees.
@@Bnizzofashizzo Not sure if you yourself are skating on the sr. circuit or possibly an ISU judge? or what qualifies you to be so critical. I think Isabeau performed beautifully and she is still so young. Her opportunities to improve are endless. Great start for the young lady, though!
She has a great foundation. I would like to see more speed and power. I don’t understand why she slows down for so many take offs. She’s definitely worked on her posture and positioning. I would like to see more connections of her to the music. Music is kind of blah.
She is not :( she is retired and says in interviews that she plans to stay that way. JO requires that each team include one retired skater so she was N. America's.
@@kenmoreSF it's figure skating, which is a sport. You mention ballet like it's easy. Go do it, if it's so easy. Do you think scratch spins and rapid footwork sequences are easy? Jumping isn't the hardest part of the sport. Especially when athletes have to be starved and drugged to complete the jumps. Russia knows all about that..
I don't know how she's first after the short program after putting half the audience to sleep, she should have lost in program components score. Amber rightly took the "gold medal" off her neck. Good luck tomorrow #1 badass skate chick (Amber)
Kolyadas interpretation was not in competition so I can say he's my favourite!!! But he's years older and male.love this young lady U can't forget her.beautiful 💗🙏💐😊
Yes, she's the best the US has & she is lively but her jumps scare me a bit. The Russians will eventually be back - in force. She needs to win her prizes now.
She is decent, but stiff. Lack of flexibility in her knees, her jumps are not high enough, she wouldn't make it anywhere close to the top 10 of Russian skaters.
I just wish she would stop emulating the Russian style of skating costume and gloves. It’s not a great look and she is so above it. Ditch the gloves, at least!
@@BnizzofashizzoWow another one RU-vid "expert" 😂. All three ladies you mentioned have good enough ss. Better do something productive and stop criticize people who try to give their best.
SHE is lovely elegant and beautiful however nobody here is mentioning her biggest weakness and fault she is incredibly SLOW she is crawling into her jumps she is VERY VERY cautious and careful before and after her jumps YES 100 percent she is lovely however she is incredibly slow!!!!!
I don't know if it's the dress but she has an unusual back posture. Like a well scaled mannequin... Of all the current US ladies I still like Bradie Tennell most.
