So, it’s now confirmed that her statement (‘I’ve never been a landlady’) is a straight lie. And that she in fact was (still is?) as her brother was there, and paying her rent. Clearly, she has not declared this rent to HMRC, so that is yet another offence she has committed (i.e. evasion of Income Tax as well as Capital Gains tax, and probably Council tax too) and she should now be punished for. The skeletons in the closet are really piling up. Another point worth considering, is that this is someone who considers themselves competent to be running the country (despite leaving school with no qualifications) but this scarcely believable farce could hardly have been handled more incompetently than she has managed, with all sorts of incriminating and/or conflicting evidence arising solely from her own inept actions…

Regardless of what political party you’re a representative of, if you are caught lying or twisting the truth for whatever reason you should be immediately sacked with no second chances. If we the public are to have any trust in them, it should be FULL transparency not BENDING the rules to suit them. Angela Rayner has had every opportunity to come clean, she has on numerous occasions accused others of lying demanding their immediate resignation. She’s not the brightest bulb in the chandelier a light is on, but no one is home. Could not imagine her engaging in conversation with other world leaders.

I agree it's wrong for a opposition potential deputy leader to be in her position with this issue surrounding her, so she needs to come clean and explain what happened before the voters can decide who to vote, at the same time conservative party need to be robust and just, and have to apply the same level of absolute law to the MPs in their party who have been clear islamaphobes and racist with in the current government. The law should be applied equally for everyone. Not just for labour, and let the conservatives off the hook. It's time to stamp-out hypocrisy and double standards in politics.
