I think its less a comedy joke and more symbolic. Alan Said like “in Malibu its Not welcomed to be satanic, Go to hollywood” and that makes more then sense
@@danlc95 , I remember the first time I watched the episode. It was completely unexpected, yet fit the dynamic of the show so perfectly. Her cackle at the end, after she says "FLY BOYS, FLYYYYY !!!!" was perfect. Its my all-time favorite episode.
To me this this is one of the best episodes of this series… Nobody expected that end with Evelyn and Isabella… Plus… you cant get enough of Charlie getting in the room being carried by all the covenant while he is singing
I just want to know how exactly they know each other because I'm not believing that pilates class thing. On another note Charlie and Alan must have believe that Evelyn was the "Queen" of the covenant...they was sooo terrified. LOL!

This scene is absolutely brilliant!!!!!!! One of the best in the entire show. The terror in Isabella's eyes when Evelyn approaches here, just priceless!
It just shows the love and caring a mom has for two sons and grandson. She walks in and says, these are my son's. Don't mess with my family. That's a great mother played by an amazing actress. Great scene, great acting. Right on
Evelyn to the rescue as usual, as soon as Isabella realizes its Evelyn and Charlie and Alan are her sons you can see the despair in her face.. especially when Alan asks Evelyn " you know each other?" and when Evelyn replies "in a manner of speaking".. so much is said by the looks between the 2 of them... when Evelyn says these are my sons, you know that Isabella is reminded of her place in the coven, when Evelyn says "goodbye Isabella" also means I will deal with you later... makes you wonder who Evelyn really is.. its almost as if Charlie and Alan know the truth but just go with what Evelyn says... very clever.. brilliant writing... and makes you wonder about a lot of things... classic scene
It also plays into the whole backstory of her character...being promiscuous, being wealthy and successful, having little to no emotional ties to those around her and being vindictive to those who she believes wronged her. It was really one of her best character points because you always hear them speak ill of her...we finally saw how dark that ill goes.
There is NO way that Isabella would be that scared of Evelyn if they only knew each other through a Pilates class. That look of Isabella was that of someone mortally scared for their life! Quick turnaround in fortunes in this scene!
Not so much maternal instinct as protecting one's turf, imo. Evelyn was never one to have maternal instincts as her insecure, selfish and sex-driven lifestyle scarred her sons for life(at least that's what can be implied from show). I could be wrong though.

that's one of the very few moments when Evelyn showed a tiny bit of motherly love or at least slight concern for her sons. ...although 1 may argue it was only just to assert her domination over Isabel ;-)
"These are my sons!" A thinly veiled threat to Isabella that she doesn't want to consider getting between a Mother and her Sons, least of all Evelyn and her boys. That implies that you don't want to get in a turf war with Evelyn. Isabella is proclaimed to be a leading witch and the fear of Evelyn that she displays in her voice and body language indicates that Evelyn is a far more senior and more powerful witch than Isabella and Isabella knows that all too well it would seem. After the veiled confrontation, all Isabella wanted to do was to get the hell out of the Harper household. This all begs the question, is Evelyn just the Head Witch of a Coven or is she the Head Witch of all of L.A. or California Covens? I suspect that Evelyn is the Head Witch of at least the L.A. Hollywood Covens. Being a Realtor or Real Estate Agent, gives her the perfect cover to visit all sorts of High Value people for various reasons with the cover story that they are considering selling their property or at least want an idea of the value.
Those flying monkeys scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. "The Wizard of Oz" came on tv once a year, and we all planned for it. No VCR to record what we missed. We saw it or waited for it to come around the next year.
@@suziewhattley3917 I also am old enough to have been through the once-a-year showings of "The Wizard of Oz", but that was many decades ago by now. All the things we remembered so clearly about this movie are unknown to a large segment of the population today.
The moment when Evelyn says "Now you are gonna give me a hard time". Alan immediately looks outside at Isabelle is so natural. The level of fear that her mother created is peak 😅
Evelyn's quote "These are my sons." is basically her telling Isabella "Do NOT fuck with me or my family--you WILL regret it.", IMO... Holland Taylor is just so good as Evelyn, IMO...
What a great show. I remember when i used to show these clips to my ex girlfriend, we began to date. She was always laughing at me because I found 2 and half men hilarious. Good times good times, I was way happier ;)
I have a theory Evelyn sets up Charlie with the hot witch girl so she could save him from her, in return Charlie and the boys wear as any custom she wanted for the party
Oh boy Two and half men was just a Genius comedic show. Along with that 70 shows and the Office, I swear they don’t make them like this anymore. Isabelle being terrified of Evelyn is everything, we all know she’s the covent leader 🤣🤣🤣 This is by far one of my favorite episodes
I can't watch anything with Ashton Kutcher or Danny Masterson. They 🤮 me out now, Mila too. I wouldn't support anything they are a part of. The Sopranos, Two and Half Men, and of course American Dad/Bobs Burgers are all great. So is the Dead Files !
Note that Evelyn's dress gets caught under the door at the end. The fade is very quick, so I think she got stuck, opened the door to do another take and they just said 'Never mind, We'll cut it in the edit.'
I've always wondered what might happen if Bellatrix Lestrange from "Harry Potter" had a run in with Endora from "Bewitched." Now I have a pretty good idea . . . .
Evelyn was amazing in this Episode....as all other ones....but you realized she just isn't a Strong Woman....apparently she is a High Queen of the Dark Underworld
