I love Elliot Gould!!! I enjoyed every time he played Jack Geller on “Friends”, and his chemistry with actress Christina Pickles (Judy) was always enchanting 😊. His character reminds me so much of my dad, caring, nurturing and wise with a fun sense of humor.

@@THEMASTER26 They got what they wanted. When my sister got married to a guy my family liked, they threw her an incredible wedding. I'll be surprised if they have anything left over for me.
@@THEMASTER26 not only Monica actually got into a serious relationship, but she also faced her mom and told her to stop being a pain in the ass, also helped by the fact that Ross was divorcing for the third time lmao
They were a foil for Rachel's parents. They showed that couples that age could be very much in love and happy, playful and still together. Provided balance to the show.
Out of all the parents on the show, the Gellars were the only ones who stayed together and still loved each other. Rachel’s parents divorced. Chandler’s parents divorced. Phoebe’s father left her mother for another woman and then left the other woman for a third woman. Joey’s parents are still together, but his dad cheats on his mom and she knows it but won’t get divorced. Mike’s parents are still together but they don’t really count because he wasn’t a main character.
"What about Ben?" They never get to see Ben since he's raised by people who aren't related to them, Ross. I know it's just a show, but I can't blame Jack saying that cuz I forgot Ben existed when Emma was born
@Nathan Boyle It’s kinda hard to see that you’re arguing AGAINST what I said. But yes, it is hard like you said with kid actors and no offense, Carol and Ben didn’t matter to the story anymore as much as everyone else sorry. But I can’t blame Jack for forgetting Ben, a simple mistake but on screen you never see them with Ben
He can’t complain to the writers and producers because the show has been off the air for 18 years! I do hope that someday we get a Friends: The Next Generation spin-off about Emma and Ben Geller; Jack and Erica Bing; Frank Jr. Jr., Leslie, and Chandler Buffay; Phoebe and Mike’s kids, and possibly Joey and his wife’s kids hanging out at Central Perk. And of course, their parents would be occasional guest stars!
I’m sure you will. And if you decide to children, make sure you do better than what Jack and Judy did to Ross (enabling) and Monica (emotional negligence and possible verbal abuse).
I love Jack because he's never been cruel to monica like Judy always was. Judy had no right to be as awful to monica as she was. I'm glad Judy chilled out in the later seasons though.
My fav is when Jack said ‘You’d be speaking german if it wasn’t for us’ to Emily’s parents 😂 Took me a while to get, but I laughed my ass of😂 It was such fine humor😀
The show would not be the same without Jack and Judi being pesky yet supportive to their children, most of the time. Great comic relief relatable to so many family situations.
4:42 he says he got Judy pregnant, but there's another episode when Ross says they love him more because they had been trying and they tought Judy was esterile and that's why he is a "miracle baby" ??!! wtf
It could be that they lost that first baby (miscarriage). But probably it's only the writers forgetting everything about the show, like they always did. I hate that about Friends...
@@rebecca8525 the doctors might have told Judy that she probably would never be able to carry a child to term, and they considered that being sterile. And then some drug was invented that helps you stay pregnant. And voila. Ross.
@@patriceaqa288 ofcourse they were, they were partial to ross to the point where they dismissed all of monica's accomplishments. jack literally gave up monica's old stuff that he knew she was attached to to save his car.
@@patriceaqa288 ofcourse they do, but being so horrible and neglectful to your own child to the point where they don't want to be in your presence is just terrible parenting.
@@aarya1107 You can't change that. Mothers NEVER abandon their sons, even in extreme circumstances like murder/convictions/scandals etc and father's never abandon their daughters. It's genetic. I think they were nicer to Monica than the show implied
a lot of iconic moments not included: "ross, this isn't some girl you picked up in a bar and.... *humped*" "yes, i have dandruff. there's no need to point and laugh!" "so are you his mother or father?" "JACK!" "what? i've never seen one before!"
