great Daniel, the years of work have paid off- congrats on the Shodan (welcome to the club!) what a brilliant choice and investment you have made- I couldn't be happier or promote these belts enough. I went with orange, and it really stands out, the silver is lovely too...Mine's silk. What a company and belt- they seem little known compared to others, infact you're the 2nd person I've ever seen in the UK with one, so it' good to see! :) who do you train with and under? never heard of grading at December before, what a Christmas gift that was! ;)
I train in shotokan in Stockport Manchester I've trained with a few different instructors I was under WSKF in Australia and am now under shikata shotokan group and yes the belt was a very nice present to myself indeed feels and looks great.
@@danskarate997 that's cool Daniel, hope to maybe get training with you sometime. I train under Kawasoe, JKAWF, got my shodan under him. Yes, they are brilliant belts, I feel better (and mine was cheaper) than Tokaido...the £60 charges was dreadful though :( brilliant gift to yourself mate and brilliant gift getting shodan :) keep it up, train hard and train long!
could you please tell me the distance from the bottom of the belt to the very top letter of the shotokan karate-do writting? Im asking because I will order a belt and I dont want my embroidery to get stuck in the belt knot. so it will tell me the belt length I need to get.
It's approximately 20 centimetres or about 8 inches from the bottom to top kanji, the belts are great quality I have a waist of 34 to 36 and the total length of the belt is 320 centimetres. The thing is barely worn out even after 2 years, and the colour is retained. Just note you will have to pay duties and customs, so I ordered through chokesports.com if your in the UK kamae is a good brand and cheaper, quality is pretty good there too.
