So I'm basically a cat.

ISFPs don't really complement others but if they do they really mean it. What ISFP say: Damn, you look good in that dress. What ISFP meant: That dress brings out your style and personality do well, damn!!!

I never felt this validated in my entire life. just by hearing someone describe my personality is one of the most precious gift I've received as a human being. thanks a million.

so this is why isfps don't like standardized environments like high school

it's tough being an isfp. with such deep feelings, it doesn't take much to affect me in a strong way. not wanting to impose on others, sometimes i feel like the world is trying to crush me. as in introvert, i tend to keep these issues to myself. i lack allies. it makes me uneasy.... then it makes me mad and i harden myself up, taking encouragement from the istp. i'm on the border anyways, but i go with my feelings.... or rather, my feelings take me. i feel like a passenger in my own mind.

I personally love being an ISFP, but it wasn't always easy. I was considered weird because of how reserved i am. I rarely speak and my thoughts really do run deep. i rarely talk about my own problems, i just listen to others. i wish it was easier for me to communicate my thoughts and feelings, but like the guy said i like to keep my words short. when someone says something i just reply with "MM" "OK" "AH" it is very easy for me to "get into people's heads" idk why, it's just easy for me to empathize with people and understand what they're feeling (main reason why i cry during sad movies) I often don't understand how people can be so judgmental sometimes. My friend likes to vent to me about her problems. i usually give pretty good advice because of what i said before. she says i'm a good listener and easy to talk to (only when i'm interested in the conversation) like some other people said, i also have a go with the flow attitude. it mainly shows at school. my teachers liked me because of it. also because i keep my mouth shut. commitment SUCKS if is sign up for something, i know for a fact that i'm not going to be interested in the future. mainly why i don't sign up for talents shows or anything like that. man i wish late middle school - high school wasn't all about "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO IN THE FUTURE" IDFK only the future knows. hahaha sorry about my rant, i'm just happy there are others like me.

I love how well this describes me. As an ISFP school has always been hard for me because I simply "go with the flow" it really sucks sometimes.

As an ISFP i'm glad to find out that how I am naturally doesn't necessarily mean i am wrong. For far to long i have been trying to confine myself into societies boxs, restricted by schedules and mundane jobs, as a consequence my mental health has suffered a lot from it. I am going to try and start focusing on my strengths and learn how to work with myself rather than against it. I think everyone needs to start working with themselves rather than trying to conform to the rules. It's a scary thing though as i'm terrifyed of critism, thats going to be my biggest hurdle to over come and i hope that i am able to.

I'm an isfp, i always felt i'm different from the group, sometimes it upsets me because i felt left out but later then i start accepting things the way they are.

I'm an ISFP strong in all 4 categories. I'm very live and let live, but does not mean I don't have a backbone. There are several things that really make me angry, like arrogant/conceited people and bullies. I absolutely HATE it when people are treated as nothing because they aren't rich, aren't a member of a certain social club, or don't dress well! I'm much more comfortable around people whom arrogant folk would consider "lowly". All human beings are on level ground as far as I'm concerned and all deserve a modicum of respect just because they are human beings, regardless or social status. I also hate it when people demand the spotlight and brag about themselves. That's not necessary.

As an ISFP, being entitled with 'sensitivity to others' is both strength and weakness for me.

They are underrated

As for the isfp being strict, look into the functions. Isfp is Fi/Se/Ni/Te. It's the inferior Te that comes out when stressed that is very strict.

I am an INFP and my boyfriend is an ISFP. Our ideologies and what we want to do with our lives are similar. Both of us love to help others. Our differences complement as well. I can't decide things on my own yet he knows what he should and should not do that is why I rely on him in terms of decision-making. I still can't believe that I am with the most perfect man who has the softest heart, and a soul made of gold. Still, I have no idea what right thing I did to others and to myself to be blessed with this beautiful man. We are getting married next year, and I still cannot believe that this perfect guy loves me as much as I love him.

I'm might be a isfp but I'm turbulent I worry about what other people say about me but sometimes I just don't care about what people think... I'm weird I change easily but I guess that's what makes me special! 😊 but even though I act extrovert on video in person I'm quite the opposite.. I rather be alone and type things and not see people face to face.. my brain thinks if I don't see them they are not really there, therefor making me seem more outage and cheerful! 😁 but sometimes I do make friends by talking to people in real life it's just I don't always talk much... but that can quickly change 😂😅

The part about letting only certain people into our world is spot on. I also agree with the discomfort felt from a structured environment like a high school classroom or an office work setting. The only thing I think they got wrong is that ISFP types can't sell themselves or their skills. I wouldn't have landed the job I did without a 4 year degree if I hadn't crushed the interview.

INFJ here! Recently met someone who I think is an ISFP and dayuum. My first interaction with him blew him away to his own shell. I really liked him because I get to learn how to use my Se more. But what made him run away from me was my judgemental first impression towards him (which he didn't like). Part of my values is that I have to tell my truth with no filter. I may seem judgemental, but it doesn't mean that my first impression would be my final impression of him because I value humans and their growth. I used to hate being blunt but now I learned that I have to do that or else I'll end up internally rotting if I don't express myself. I thought that I was doing him a favor for being truly honest. But now I have to carefully sift through my words for the sake of respecting his values.

I watched this because I just took a test that said I was an ISFP and I had no idea what that meant, but now I see why I got that. This video literally describes me and I'm proud

I don't know about the "live and let live" thing. I mean, I'm probably either an ISFP or INFP, ISFP more likely, and for me, there are some ethics and values that if crossed, I might get upset and argumentative. I would let slide things that don't impact my life or other people's lives, but if it tramples on others, I'll take a stand... For example, I'm all for smoking bans inside buildings and was happy when it happened because it affects not only the smoker but others too. I also am very concerned about pollution an the damage we do to the environment because it affects not only us now and future generations but also animals and plants... Other living beings. So my outlook on "live and let live" is only on things that are personal choices that don't negatively affect others. For instance, I don't personally like polygamy but if a group of consenting adults engage in it, they're being cautious and they're not hurting anyone, then who am I to tell them what to do? I have much bigger concerns than to worry about such trivial things, like climate change, which endangers a lot of species including our own. I wish humanity would be united in things like human rights and climate change, but not care so much about individual choices like gay marriage, how we look or how much money we make, as many who are the most helpful/contributing to society are often not earning a lot. That would be my ideal society (along with some other ideas but it's not important to discuss for this).

Beautiful creatures, inside and out. As an INFJ with inferior Se and "Critical Parent" shadow Fi, my ISFP friend has really opened me up to the idea of honoring myself and my own personal tastes in the gentlest of ways. She inspires me so much!

My daughter is an isfp and she has such a gentle soul and a deepness about her. She has a quiet strength and I have to learn how to be with her because I'm an isfj.

As an INTP, ISFPs do occasionally bother me, in no small part because our cognitive functions are literally polar opposites of one another. INTPs lead with introverted thinking, ISFPs lead with introverted feeling. For example, whenever an ISFP starts talking about some kind of philosophical conundrum, I find they often neglect nuance and oversimplify things. On the other hand, when talking about ethics or something with an ISFP, I'm sure I come off as wishy-washy or unable to commit to a position because the sometimes admittedly obtuse set of qualifications I add to any subject like that. With that said, I generally do get along with ISFPs decently, because as the video states, they have a live-and-let-live attitude (one that INTPs typically share) and they're very sensitive, caring souls. The hardest part for friendships with ISFPs for me isn't even their personalities - it's finding common interests. INTPs and ISFPs often have very disparate interests and so finding commonality is sometimes difficult, but once we do, we hit it off quite well. ISFPs also have a rather irreverent, off-beat style of humor that I like; I have an ISFP friend and we often bond over our use of sarcasm or just semi-silliness in general. I have no idea why I was compelled to write that, but there you have it - my two cents on ISFPs as an INTP.

I'm an ISFP. I wish I wasn't. Throughout today i kept retaking the test because 'I wanted to make sure it was right' when deep inside I knew it was and I was just looking for an excuse to not be an ISFP. I look to be depressed as I'v heard from many people that 'you look so sad' or 'are you ok?' and the best one 'why are you always depressed?' ( LIKE HOW THE FU** would they know. They haven't even seen me or known me for a long time, pathetic fakes) My mood can change quick. Like I would be bubbly and social and very well HAPPY then someone would crack a word or a sentence and I change like Hulk. I'v never had a best friend I only have some close. And I'm familiar with karma quite well. I'v been betrayed,rejected,emotionally abused and felt lonely. The list could go on. I just hate this insecure little thing I'v become. I could feel great sometimes and my self esteem would be through the roof then I'd feel like the world is killing me slowly. I have no siblings and my parents divorced and I don't like my father to well either. I find people to be annoying little fakes trying to impress others around them by doing things out of character just to fit in. I hate having to do the SAME THING EVERYDAY AND REPETITION OVER AND OVER tortures me. What can I say I was born with the most depressed personality. Lighten up yh. I always thought I was between INFP and INTP - but neither fit me completely! I didn’t think it explained my personality! But this small summary is so on point! It described me perfectly! It really goes hand in hand with my personality. Although I view MBTI as merely something fun to shed light upon one’s inner thoughts, it can be fun to explore it a bit. Of course, not everything will be accurate to a T.

So I keep getting tested as INFJ or INFP, but I feel like the description of ISFP's describe me more than the other two personality types, yet I never get tested as ISFP. Is it common for tests to be completely wrong? I'm honestly so confused.

Been typed as ENFP and INFP all the time before I might think I have some things in common with ISFPs, like many things in common. Basically really much of the examples shown in the video fits me perfectly. The thing I do not relate to is that they don't care if they're liked as long as they're themselves (or maybe I understood it incorrectly, English is not my first language). Anyway, now I'll catch my eye on ISFPs as my new to-explore-type.

Idk why I just stumbled upon this video lol but i just wanted to continue to see how accurate my MBTI was with my actually personality and I’d say, considering how I’ve been in the past year, it’s mostly there. The thing that sticks out to me is the mentions of words. Yes, words to me are empty and have no meaning without the action behind it (ie if someone says they miss me but never act on that feeling I’d say they’re lying) but at the same time I love lyrics and poetry because writing is the easiest and most effective form of communication for me On the other hand, my spoken words have become shorter. I used to have more confidence and be more talkative (and I will if I’m comfortable enough with someone) but overall I continue to be a big listener. My energy becomes drained if someone talks too much and if I feel they leave me no space in the conversation and it would be too much of an effort to make myself heard, then I won’t try and just keep my mouth shut. Honestly I’d love to express myself and be more open to people and i try to be but it’s much easier and more natural to keep to myself and rely on people who are close to me. (Although I know there are two types of ISFPS....)

How do you distinguish ISFP from INFP? They are very similar in a lot of ways

ISFP males! Help meee Enfp girl here, I'm into this isfp, but he's very different you know, he goes quiet and distant. He likes me or at least shows that he cares. He was tough and never vulnerable, with me he has toned down to accepting himself as a feeler, which makes me, the enfp, süper proud of him. I just don't know how to tell him that I love him. Three long years, and he respects me, a little more with every interaction. I just don't want to scare him. Or get me wrong yk. It was a war for me, three years, to not have feelings, but now I'm finally coming in peace with my feelings. He's a good person, not as creative as me, nor as eloquent, or deeep in his approach. I love him still you know! He has recently come to know me a bit more and he's a fan of my energy and spiritual prowess, he said this a few times that I was a gem and precious and that he fears I'd fall in the wrong hands and get damaged. He's this outwardly tough kind good strong guy who feeeeels, but doesn't show 🤐. I'm someone who decided to never be in a relationship at all in the past, because of a past trauma and anxiety, but so far, his existence makes me question my resolve, he makes me want to fall in love and settle. And when I told him I won't ever marry, he spent one hour telling me that I'm over thinking and that love is beautiful and that I'll need more faith and hope that I never know I might find the best billionaire loving adventurous guy. He keeps assuring me that there are better days ahead. He keeps being kind. I wonder if that just an ISFP thing or he's being subtle about his feelings for me too. I know he's introverted and bold and brave. I just worry I'm I'm wrong. How do I approach this issue I'm falling badly for all the right reasons. What if he's leading me on unintentionally? The damage I may face with be real. 😔

In college, I scored INFJ three out of three times. It's been almost 5 years & I just scored two out of two times as ISFP...I'm kinda shocked, but this video makes it seem more reasonable.

alright so im kind of confused with my mbti, im either infj (i relate to this more) but recently i took it over after some couple month and im isfp. so could you guys tell me which one am i? im afraid of people sometimes when im on the streets, i think persons are judging me i like to learn different language (but my determination skills are lacking) i mostly listen to people when they are talking. i dont make friends easily. i dont pot anything on social media, only use it to look on what other persons are doing. i dont like groups assignments. i love to sleep i love to be by myself, most of the time even though i may be introverted, if you get to know me, i extroverted im weird, (doing random stuffs) i always hurt myself like trip. i love to watch youtube i like when my opinions are heard but cant say it out loud to persons i dont know. sometimes i get disappointed in myself. i love to help others i cant say no to people, but when im helping them and they dont cooperate i tend to not have patience but will hide it. i also dont know how to open up to someone, but if someone is to open up to me, i will be willing to help them. i tend to hide my feeling to myself. i often cry in a sad show and when i dont want to cry and laugh along with it.

My classmate in highschool was ISFP who likes to draw anime shit and manga and read stuffs. When some of our classmate messed up her artwork (bumped into her arms) while drawing, I remembered she teared up and cry with all of her efforts in drawing Hatsune Miku. As an ISTP I also find her cool and emotional at the same time. She made cartoons and animations without any help.

I'm an ISFJ and I can't say I have any close friends who are ISFPs but I know of people who are. I feel that the ISFPs I do know are just unbelievably kind and forgiving people. I know of some people who I've played sports with and when they're playing, they're really competitive and aggressive. But then when the competition is over, they are so gentle and kind. They are really cool. :)

I'm doing this topic in class right now. I'm an ISFP, but their is another dimension to the results or Shadow Self. ISFP have a shadow of entj those are the tendencies that may come out. I feel easy going , but when called upon I can become the entj . for me it's having a messy room getting so bad, that I have to finally clean it to feel sane. It can also be the qualities that can be underdeveloped, because it isn't used as much as your true self. It's like writing with your writing hand and then writing in you opposite hand. Then in our class out instructor broke it down into leadership types, so ISFP would be an SP type of leader, we like to negotiate, detail oriented (not the big picture), likes to avoid paperwork. I find this fascinating. Thanks for ruining Adam, I felt something was off and oversimplified about it.
