ISHITANI - Wood Bending With Steam Box 

I used to binge watch your videos all the time when I was studying in engineering school. I admired your work and make me feel like I want to make furniture like yours one day. Now when I watch this video again I noticed there was a black and white bird got stuck in your workshop and just watches over. Now I have my very own workshop doing woodworking for a living and I named my brand as "Murai Woodworks" which is a local name for type of black and white bird that always comes around at my place :)

To me, nothing is more satisfying then watching the master(s) at work. Plus we have Shiro as a bonus. Thank you for taking the time to film and share.

Congrats to both of you. Chie deserves more nice words from us, she seems to do a lot more in the shop than we can see :)

We use a pressurized steam in ours but results are results! Another lovely piece. Thanks for being an inspiration to me even after 40 years in the trade!

Wtf did I just see? Been watching woodbending videos for a while now, and everybody is doing it in laminations of mm thickness boards or they tend to break. Then I come across Ishtani, and he just bends 1" or more thick wood! 😮😮
