Nice unit for complicated dash layouts you don't want to change, but in my W210 I just installed a single DIN Pioneer unit with Siri Eyes Free and that totally transformed the car. Fit perfectly in the dash.
I have a TranzIt BLU HF installed in my Lexus SC430. It works well but the volume is VERY low even with the phone's volume turned all the way up. I have to the volume on the radio WAY up to hear a phone call or to steam music from my iPhone 8. Is there any way to turn up the volume?
hey jesse, quick question. do you have to use the fm radio as a tunner on a certain channel or frequency. or does it stream via bluetooth directly to the speakers with out the need of fm tuning?
It does need to be any specific station. When you turn on the bluetooth device, the device interrupts the FM signal going into the radio and sends in your phone's audio. It comes set up at a specific station already, which the directions tell you. You can change the station that you would want to use also with their app.
Hey Jesse, If you have the Transit Blu turned off, and you receive a phone call what happens? Will the device turn on and take over the radio station? I recently purchased the iSimple Inseam (Which does) but learned that it doesn't work with my truck despite what iSimple told me. Just curious if this one works the same way and will turn on and play over the car radio. Thanks! Great Video.
AACoMedic If you get a phone call, the Transit Blu will turn on. IF you are listening to the station that the Transit Blu is connected to, you just need to press the control button to answer the phone. If you are on another channel (or listening to a tape or CD), you'll need to change to the radio station that the Transit Blu is connected to in order to be able to hear the incoming caller. When the call comes in and the Transit Blu turns on, it cuts off the antenna, so if you are listening to the radio, the sound will cut out, so you'll know there's a call coming in.
No static that I could hear. This was a few years and a few cars ago... but it was nothing like a regular FM transmitter, which I have also used. Those always have static. This connects through the antenna wire, so the signal is as perfects as the best FM station.
