i'm a former elite class triathlete ...I know what it takes to achieve this goals in life.....years went by and I still miss those real deep emotions! Well done to every-single one, great editing!
Best video from sporting event I've ever seen. The director should get an Oscar for this. He managed to capture the emotion so well. Music, camera, editing everything brilliantly mixed together. Can watch this 1000 times and it will never get old or boring. Perfection :)
Part of the reason for doing the race this year was that I'd never have to do another ironman. So why after watching this am I thinking about signing up again next year...
Although I'd heard of the event. I'd never seen any footage of Norseman before. What an amazing event. What an amazing video of it. And Well Done to everyone that completed!
I want to do this...some day in my life. Who needs Ironman? I want this one! Watched all the videos. Read everything about this race. And I love watching them over and over again. So beautiful, amazing and inspirating! Some day I will come and do this race! It will be a long way until then, but that's okay :) I will that the time I need and come as soon as I can!
@@hawkensin I'm still waiting. I had some serious health issues, now it's a money thing and I need to get bach to training. Ask me in 2025 oder something. I won't give up on this.
At 1:13, "An Ironman is just a parade where people are clapping and cheering." I don't think that's a very fair statement to be honest. Of course, Norseman is more challenging than most ,if not all of the Ironman races, but to downgrade them to a "parade" is rather unfair at least.
carter troy I don't think he's downgrading Ironman, just telling the main difference. There are no supporters lining the route in Norsemen to cheer you like there is so many in Ironman. So in Norsemen it really is about how mentally strong you are when there's no one to cheer you. You're going at it alone.
I think he's saying he's way harder and cooler than an ironman triathlete. Humans are wired this way. Not a harmful trait in itself but if only we could measure kindness and green living in the same way humans measure assets, money and speed/ distance/time. It's at the core of the species to promote oneself as superior.
Agreed - and the downgrade is particularly harsh when you consider that there are limited slots for this race and applicants are picked at random. There's probably people who train for years, apply multiple times and never get a chance to compete merely on the basis of probability. This guy got lucky to be picked and now calls the Ironman contenders partakers in a parade - that's pretty arrogant considering all the athletes who won't get to be part of this exclusive club just on the basis of chance. Not taking away from his achievement, but to basically ridicule "normal" Ironman finishers is low.
amazing & inspiring! I love running, used to do lot of cycling... but this seems to be brand new level of experience! Happy for all who finished this triathlon.
This is amazing. One thing I want to know is after you finish on top of the mountain do you have to hike back down. I’m not sure i could walk downhill after doing all that.
There is a funicular inside the mountain serving transport down. Unless lightning has zapped the power, which has been known to happen from time to time :-)
Hey! I love your video but cannot find anywhere the track "Death or Life" from William Werwath. Could you please tell me where I can find it, as it's such an incredible music ? :) Thank you very much
Great video! Thanks for the inspiration! Could you please spare us the list of soundtracks? ;) I especially love the one that starts at 2:55. Thank you in advance!
I love how this company is officially trashing IM at 1:11. Bullying, calling people pus*ies for completing IM, marathon, 21k, or even 5k is low, especially on the promo video on the company page. People vary, they have different capabilities, priorities, and are at different stages in their life and athletic training. I did multiple IM races and i am interested in alternatives but definitely will not support companies that do marketing like this. But point made and taken- i get it, you're badass cool
Thank you for your feedback Bogdan. It is by no means our intention to bully anyone. This is simply one athlete sharing his thoughts just after the race has finished. We are extreme in many ways, but you will find that most of our participants that has done both an IronMan and our race, say that they are equally challenging but in different ways. Norseman is a race for 250 athletes. It´s not a company, its a club run by volunteers.
Молодцы! Нам бы надо тоже что-нить такое на Урале и Кавказе сделать! Русским предлагаю кроме этого ещё прыгать с парашютом + разбирать автомат Калашникова и биатлон в середине!
