Anybody remember the Houseboat on Del Playa? Stayed there the summer of '88 and it was crazy. Was working in Yellowstone that summer and had to leave due to the fires. Was dating a girl and she went back to CA and found a place on Del Playa. I later joined her there for the summer. First day I arrived they were rolling kegs into the house. Awesome summer, didn't work all summer just partied.

@nairategev there are spoiled kids, but a lot of people are here on financial aid, & i have friends that work and put themselves though school. & its not mostly true, I don't think you looked very far at all if you lived here & your view of IV is that narrow. Its not obvious, & no one i know would throw away "expensive shit" to give to homeless people. you just needed to meet different people. My time in IV has been nothing short of amazing.

@nairategev why were you here for 13 years if you hated it so much? i know it sounds snarky but i'm just curious. On another note, of course the co-op food is going to be more expensive. The underpriced food at chain grocery stores are produced by a large industrial food machine that create food thats WAY underpriced. The Co-op has a strong relationship with its local producers and would not underprice foods at the cost of hurting those local famers just to make more profit for themselves.
