I love his headgear. It's called "songkok", a traditional men headgear in South East Asia. It's common among men in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore. We usually wear it at special occasion such Idul Fitri or attending one weddings. Even in Indonesia it's not just worn by Muslim. Especially when it comes to government formal attire. People are scared of Islam because of media, the reality is Islam and Christianity are like distant cousins. Christian evangelists are equally as extreme as the extremist followers of Islam. That’s just how extremist ideology works. It’s easy to paint everyone with a brush to say this person and people like them are the enemy and only the people who are like me are my ally. But there’s no reason why we can’t be allies and share different beliefs. Personally I am non religious. I’m neither Christian or Islamic and neither do I like or prefer one over the other. What I can say however is that there are many good people from both religious backgrounds. Bob tell stories of good people and both tell stories of gruesome crusades. As an individual you need to look into your own mind and ask where these feelings of anger and hate come from? Who or what are you directing that anger out? To what end and why? Because of a news story written by a trashy newspaper? Propaganda on national television? Do you honestly believe there is such thing as unbiased news reporting? There’s always an angle and always a motive. Meet and talk to people before you pass judgement on peoples beliefs, be mindful and respectful. I haven’t met a Christian or Muslim that I haven’t disliked just because they had faith in god. I tend not to like people based on their own actions.
