In my opinion, Alex has spoken very confidently about how he is ready to fight Islam at 2 weeks notice. Bare in mind, they are both fighting an opponent they were not expecting to fight. So whoever wins, I dont think the narrative should be that Alex came in out of shape and this be used as reasoning for why he loses. The guy is constantly training to fight afterall. If we were talking about a lesser athlete that didnt live and breathe MMA then maybe this would be the case. So if Alex loses then there is really no need for a third fight between these two men. If Islam dominates the fight, equally, the narrative shouldnt be that Alex came in unprepared. Islam will havw defended his title twice and won twice against the same challenger. Islam says that Alex is doing this for the money. I like looking up fighters net worth to see if this is true, as some of these fighters lower down the rankings aren't doing too well financially. Alex's net worth is at least 3 million. If you cant equate what this means in real terms, if he kept 2 million in a high interest savings account, Alex would generate 50k a year minimum doing absolutely nothing. Point being, he could retire now. A lot of these guys could. And never have to work again. This is about legacy for both guys. Both want the same thing and this is really high level competition. Respect to both fighters. Like them both.

Even if he loses the fight, no one is angry with him, everyone says it was because of lack of preparation, because of the difference in size and weight.
