I realized Khabib never promotes a fighter from his team unless he's fully confident in his skills. He hasn't promoted Umar and Usman yet although they look phenomenal. Him pushing Islam and promoting him like this can't be for no reason

Islam is definitely more skilled where the fight is mainly going to take place (the ground). People who think Charles has an advantage while Islam is on top of him, locking his legs, neutralizing his Jiu-Jitsu, and raining punches on him from top are casuals
Exactly those are the guys who tend to watch only ufc. Islam has far more awareness of positions to get submitted. I think islam has a very good chance to submit charles.

(#4) Islam also is one of the few, other than Khabib, who uses the FENCE as a 100% reliable TOOL against a downed and pinned opponent. As GSP himself, the goat, says: If Charles fights measurably in the middle of the ring, so that both standing and on the mat --- regardless who takes whom down there --- he has the ability to maneuver and MOVE HIS HIP, he has more opportunity to sub Islam... But if Charles marches toward Islam aggressively, recklessly, like his usual approach and ends up at the FENCE area, then when Islam takes him down --- and Islam WILL TAKE HIM DOWN (may not happen, as Islam say, the first time... or second... but he WILL take Charles down) ---- Charles will have VERY LITTLE ROOM to maneuver, with little to no hip movements. If you're on the mat, ON YOUR BACK, & your hip movement is controlled by a superior wrestler whose wrestling is a perfect combination of Division I, elite BJJ, & elite Judo ..... there isn't much you could do to out maneuver him ... even if you're Charles himself with next level BJJ.... Having a next level BJJ, like Charles does, does NOT mean you could & would sub everyone you fight. Again, he's been SUBBED 3 times or 7% in his fights. Having next level BJJ simply means you COULD easily sub someone, IF they allow you to, if they make a mistake, if they're not able to control your hip or movements and you're able to PHYSICALLY out maneuver them, from your back. But TOOLS and ASSETS, #1 to #4... in Islam's TOOL KIT.... will make it EXTREMELY difficult for Charles, on his back, to out maneuver Islam. That's how an EFFICIENT or LOGICAL FLOW CHART works.

I think skillset for skillset, Charles and Islam match up very well. I believe Islam will have a strength advantage, as well as a huge pop from the crowd in Abu Dhabi. Still, Charles is an extremely dangerous opponent and Islam will need to have a perfect performance to cash in.
I think that Mr Islam who has overwhelming submission ability which, is a supreme player as a MMA fighter and is commensurate with UFC lightweight champion,from now on I want him to exeed in khabib's title match defence and to be a pound for pound first rank
