I love how WWF fans call these Dagestan fighters boring. True MMA fans appreciate the skill and dominance they've brought to the sport. Islam is an amazing fighter!
True MMA fans don't like the grappling trend...they running down all Cornor, Silver, Jones and the rest did to make the sport interesting.. Now the sport can no longer catch up with boxing.
They don't hate wrestling, they are just haters looking for an excuse to trash their performance, Colby wrestled RDA for 5 rnds with 0 GnP and gets praised, Islam finishes fighters in less than a min and is called boring, Kamaru finished Colby, Jorge and Burns in devastation fashion yet people still call him boring.
People say he beat tuna cans ?? Not a single top 5?? See the problem is that you need to have a opponent in order to fight. Nobody from top10 accepted him several times so there he is..
and people think Arman is can, put Arman with oliveira now, and look the ODDs will go to Arman, because no way Oliveira can match with Arman power, Only Arman can compete with Islam
@@knobodyofficial9569 i never said that someone is scared of someone, they're not available or just don't want to take short notices that's fine. But saying tomato can is not fair, he's fighting who accepts him Do you think he's scared of anyone ? I think not . He's legit and i think he'll be given the next tittle shot over dariush cause ramdan ...
Yup, facts. Who wants to put their hand up to take on this guy? Long win streak is long win streak, UFC did not pad his streak on purpose - I believe it happened cos it was hard to book him a ranked opponent.
@@knobodyofficial9569 I got news for you, brother, people in the top 5 are terrified of his game. This is a guy that takes his opponents to the deep end and drowns them. He has one of the absolute best training teams in the game, and if you watch videos of this guy train, you’ll understand that he’s different; he’s special.
"I told you guys" "I told you guys" "I told you guys" "I deserve" "I Deserve"......bragging and talking about how great you are and how you are going to smash everyone is not humble...not even a little bit .........Respect to his skill tho.
@@redoni1190 no way, there lots of humble fighters…… GSP, Oliveira, Anderson Silva, wonderboy Brandon Morano….To name a few….. guys that embody being a true martial artist……. He humble compared to Conor or Colby Covington or Brock leaner ….. but come on…… I think people mistake him and Khabib’s mild manner for Being humble ….. meanwhile they are always talking about how great they are, which is more narcissistic than it is humble.
Because he s an amateur. An amateur in boxing an amateur I. Wrestling an amateur in general.... Like almost all those ufc fighters. The strongest is who s specialised at least in 1 martial art. Almost nobody is a professionist in the ufc. Everybody knows a lil bit of everything but at the end of the day they don t know shit!
Islam is like a calm river, everyone thinks that it is easy to cross, but as soon as they put their feet they are swept away in the moment. Really calm even in speech and this is the advantage of people with a strong personality. They do not talk much, but achieve and leave speech to others. Congratulations
Yeah, I thought it was pretty boring tbh. And its hard to have Bobby Green in the ring and still produce a lackluster fight. Guess ole Makhachev can pull anything off 😄
I dont think that people actually thought bobby could win, I only ever saw people talking about wanting him to win because he was such a massive underdog
Bisping said Bobby would have a very good chance and Big John said it would be a head fight for Islam. Even these analysts keep doubting Islam fight after fight...
I think a few commentators (and by extension fans) were saying he had a legit chance, some even saying it was worth betting money on. We'll see if they change their song now. So much so that when the opening bell went I was like what if, what if this becomes an Amanda/Juliana shocker? But you gotta be real, before the fight started there was no chance I was giving Green to win - not a cent (it's so unlikely you can pull off an Askren/Masvidal knee, or Pena/Nunes stoppage). No knock on him, short notice against the best lightweights is going to be super hard, just look at Hooker. Islam I think should've been rated much more highly (prior to this fight outcome) than those commentators were saying. Maybe they were just riffing to build the fight... all props to Green for stepping in, but you gotta separate Heart (balls for stepping in) vs likelihood of winning.
He's boring. I like the guy but his personality and fighting style is boring as fuck. He's no Khamzat or Khabib in hype, fighting style, personality or anything really. Did you get out of your seat even once while watching the fight? This was one of the most mediocre fights I've watched in a while.
I'm an MMA fan who is primarily interested in what works and practical in a real fight. So I like all styles. I hate how people hate on the Dagestan style because of the optics.
Since when did his style become unanimous with "boring" wrestlers? Dude's finishing people left and right. I'd get it if he would just sit on their legs and throw a few shots to keep the position going. But he's submitting and TKOing people.
I think it’s the fact he goes for position over damage as opposed to Khabib who goes for damage more than anything. I agree though his style has grown on me the last few. I think Islam is dominant enough now that he can just smash people
He will be getting a title shot next.. So many ppl ducked Islam and it Backfired!! Now he gets a title shot and if he wins they will HAVE TO COME TO HIM
These dagestani guys have made me like wrestling more than striking now lol, the way they are so technical with the takedowns and you never know whats gonna happen on the ground. Him and the Tsarukyan fight was ART.
Yes and no. Wrestling has always been exciting if you know what you're watching. These guys are exciting because they just demolish the other guy. This has more to do with circumstance than ability though. LW is striker saturated, and honestly quite lackluster. These guys cut a lot of weight and essentially have no competition in the grappling department. Look at Dagestanis in other weight classes with wrestlers. Weidman beat Akhmedov precisely because Weidman can wrestle and because he's roughly his weight. In grappling if the guy is heavier than you and same skill, he will beat you 9/10 times in almost a dominantly looking manner.
@@thefacelessquestion3333 Khabib is not as bad as Islam though. Islam is easily 180 on fight night. You can tell by just looking at his back. Bobby looks like a good 170, if that. The UFC needs to do hydration tests.
@@irvingceron1016 LW is exciting tho,I think they have the "best top 10" in the UFC. I guess I don't understand where the "lackluster" comment z coming from tho.
@@thefacelessquestion3333 I disagree. That's a very popular and common opinion. I think it isn't even top 3. It's a division that's super popular with casuals because McGregor competed in it last. Besides that, not much going on there imo. For me top 3 divisions are FW, LHW, and then WW. I would even put BW over LW.
Man you guys claiming that shit was boring, Islam literally smashed the dudes skull in. That ground and pound shit was vicious, at least respect the dude, that wasn't boring at all.
@@CarltonCarvalho You're right, you should be the ref for the next fight, the only thing boring about the fight was the lack of resistance on the other side.
I agree! It’s mixed martial arts. Give us a slugfest. Some crazy kicking and punching combinations. Oohhh and aaahhh. But nope. It’s jumping the hurdles and smudge. And when they win: ah yes, there it is.
He is an exciting fighter with a great and effective style, and he goes for finishes. It's not just hugging or lay and pray, and he's not just playing safe. Some people just hate on grappling.
It’s never exiting how they win. It’s always: ah yes, there it is. The best work ethic in the game etc. Massive respect and my keyboard warrior ass will never achieve it. But. It is. Boring. It’s called mixed martial arts. Not jump the mixed hurdles and smudge the opponent as fast as possible. Give us a slugfest, a crazy headkick with punches. Nope. Ah yes, there it is.
@@BartRunning definetly not boring and yes its mixed martial arts that's why there is many different types of fighter. Boxers, kickboxers, wrestlers, etc. I think you forgot that the ufc started out as a tournament to test different disciplines against each other.
Definitely not an even match cause if you rewatch the match islam was dominating him but Tsarukyan was indeed his toughest challenge in terms of him not being about to keep him on the ground the whole time.
Before the fight, they are Bobby fans, after fight turn to Bobby haters, said bobby is can, bum, early stoppage, they want bobby take more damage to his head, and if herb let it go 5 second more, they will said Herb fault lol
Respect to bobby. 10 days notice against one of if not the scariest guys in the division. Apparently like 4 people in the top 10 said no to the fight. Including rda which fights next week so he’s in fight shape.
Indeed, these are just haters. They became Bobby fan to hate Islam. My respect goes out to Bobby. Without a full wrestling camp you have very slim chances of posing a threat to these smesh Dagestanis. But he still accepted
@@realkingrav2265 Nah No one showed any threat to islam so far, Islam's takedown attempts effective than usman and cobys. I think islam can beat Usman. Islam vs khamzat i stand 50/50.
Exactly what I predicted. Dude is phenomenal. I’m a MMA fanatic and don’t think I’ve described anyone else as ‘phenomenal’ in a long time. I’m a huge Adesanya fan, and he is great/close to phenomenal but not quite there. Islam is so confident and man handles other professional fighters like they’re not even professionals. I don’t feel like he’s even shown us what he is actually capable of yet.
Great performance. Islam is championship material. I was really excited for the Dariush fight. He will probably be out for 6-8 months due to the injury. Either way Islam deserves the title. He has tried to fight top 5/10 fighters but they either duck him or pull out, etc. You can't put this man on hold forever. He has 10 win streak that were dominant wins. People say he fought cans but he showed how good he is in those fights by the way he dominated them. He has BEEN calling out top 10s but no one steps up, except that they eventually pull out. Give this man his shot.
It’s not just a country but it makes them more marketable. I never understood why champs like aldo or olivera who have been in the game for so long didn’t do more to learn english, it would have opened the door for way more chances
Much respect for this guy. I remember his first post fight conference when he was nervous and his English also came a long way. He is definitely next for title
These reporters know that islam cant speak english well, and they continue to ask him questions with difficult vocabulary. Yeah he understands sometimes, but damn make the questions easier to understand lol
Very funny how people really believed that bobby even had a chance, the guy took the fight on short notice and even if he had a full camp. Not sure he would survive the first Round 🤷🏻♂️

@@realkingrav2265 Dustin should make couple money fights. make runs in One FC to be champ after go to bellator and test himself (and maybe end up back at UFC : doing fan fights)
Both are wrong!! Charles is champ but best lightweights go like this 1- Islam 2- Arman (trust me both of them will beat Charles...Joel Alvarez is as dangerous as BJJ as it gets!!! These Russian wrestlers have submission defense down and punish BJJ fighters for being on their back) 3- Charles (he’s the only current lightweights who can hang with the new upcoming talent at 155) 4- Fiziev (Best striker at 155! Solid takedown defense with insane high level Muy Thai) 5- Dariush (He is in his prime...his grappling is very good and he pressures well) 6- are the Gurams, Gillespies, Gamrots possibly The fighters like Gaethje, Porrier, Chandler are all amazing but they are missing a few key elements to be at the level of a Islam, Arman, Charles!!
I really wish a top 5 fight would of happened. He’s slaughtering people. Be nice to see one top 5 name on his resume. Or a bigger name. If he wins the belt I’m sure we will see plenty then. RDA, Poirier, Tony, Connor, chandler. Shame beneal got hurt.
They’re doing him dirty like they did to Khabib. Everyone complains Khabib didn’t have many title defenses but Dana put him off until he couldn’t anymore.
@@cammaltby6218 same here. It would be a big mistake. I hope Dana knows better than that. They would lose so much credibility if Conor gets the shot. And with the industry becoming more competitive the UfC can’t really afford to make mistakes like that. Time will telll
Trolls, attention seekers, or genuine clowns, it doesn't matter. When you're marketing cagefights the lowest common denominator always tries to hijack the show

@@Sambo98199 Yeah, most people. But I noticed too that every comment section had some people saying Green is gonna KO him, bringing up how Islam was KOd once like 6 years ago
@@radusocol2613 yeah the odd person. You'll always get the odd person saying that for every fight though lol. The vast majority knew the odds were heavily in Makachev's favour.
No one said this lmao, stfu. The way people bring up bs quotes pretending like something happened when it didn't. Everyone knew this was a stepping stone easy win for Islam.
Bobby Green is a tomato can, it should have been Arman Tsarukyan in there instead. Can’t wait for Islam to fight Charlie Olives after he gets passed Gaethje.
Do you realise if someone catches you in a choke or limb lock outside of the cage that's death or permanently damage AT LEAST. literally only ex conor fans find this boring dirtbag casuals everywhere
Islam is 💯% the real deal I've been watching MMA for a long time now he's by far the most dominant grappler in that division. He will become champ absolutely no doubting this. Khabib is the goat & could've remained the goat continually smeshing everyone but wanted to help pave the way for Islam to become champ. These dagestanis are on a whole different level 👊
I don't think people quite understand how good is Islam really is. It's amazing to watch someone like him fight, this man is way better than Khabib, and not to mention he will stay around for a long time, he's making his own path and his own legacy.
He is such a nice and strong guy. I really think he gonna be champ end of 2022. If he fights like that I think he can make 2 belts also beating the champ in ww. I am a fan now 💯
Deserves the title fight on the basis no one will fight him, only reason he hasn't fought ranked opponents is because they duck him. Give him a title fight and then we'll see him fight everyone anyway
Watching these fighters grow into gentleman makes me happy, the sport is creating elite men, real gentlemen.. Dana should be proud of his creation well done UFC🤜🤛
What happened to "Bobby hands low is good for take down defense" bridgade.?? It just reminds me of the "Hooker flying knees when Islam going for the take down" bridgade. Lmao
The same people calling Islams fight boring while he finishes dude fast are the same dudes ok with colby laying on people for 5 round decisions by lay and pray.
We'll never know if he's better than Khabib, but Islam's talent and technique is simply off the charts, his standup looks clean too. This dude may not get the attention because he's not the first to do this. But I mean, wow. Not often do you see a guy competing in what is basically a semi-final for the world's most coveted prize in his sport, and genuinely have a little laugh going when asked about his opponent's ability. Personally, one of the top 5 must watch fighters right now, with Yan, Ngannou, Oliveira and Khamzat. Fiziev is creeping in there as well.
People who say that he doesn't deserve the title fight then they don't know what they are talking about. Justin who literally lose to the champion and only got one win got the title fight. And even Conor Mcgregor might get the title fight. Nobody else deserves the title fight other than Islam and maybe Dariush
Islam vs Charles honestly is a fight representative of the next evolution of MMA. A champion with the most UFC finishes, submissions, has dug his way back from the verges of being cut, moved up a weight class and become champion defeating a former Bellator Champ, and Poirier for god sake. The real deal, against the incoming absolute force that is Islam Makhachev, a refined Khabib with less focus on the smesh and more on controlled striking and slick headkicks to set up the body lock into a boa-constrictor-like top game where he either forces a head-arm choke or makes the opponent give their back, as opposed to Charlie who digs for the neck. Islam will have problems on the feet in this one, but he’s right, he will make him tir-red, and new, UFC Lightweight Champion of the world, Islam, Mak-hachev. Inshallah
Only person that I see that could potentially pose a threat is Arman Tsarukyan but that won't be for another couple years until Arman gain more skills and experience. When they fought last, it was a very interesting grapple heavy match but Arman was still so young at the time being only 23 years old.
@@ivanooze1049 Oliveira is the only real threat to Islam besides maybe Beneil. If Justin beats Olives, then just give this guy the belt already. Justin is going to get eaten alive by Islam.
Bobby predicted it himself already. So there is nothing to ‘age’. He deserves respect for how he handled himself leading up to this fight and signing the contract after the rest of the weightclass passed on it. And as always. Winning on the ground.
People are clearly just hating on him.. how is his style boring? He slick af with the judo sweeps, trips, his chain wrestling for takedown. Once your down it’s over. That Dagestan pressure elite top control folk style won’t let no body get up. People don’t understand how he’s passing the shit out of guards and shows he’s finishing all opponents.. his stats are crazy he don’t even get struck like that.. 2022 champpp…
Props to Islam🙂, but is there going to be at least one time where this guy or khabib team not only finish them opponents on the floor game! I mean at least a good stand up tko or knockout. those takedowns are reallly obvious in every fight and wouldn’t say boring but c’mom something new would be cool.
I fully agree. Mixed martial arts. So mix it up, make it entertaining. Give us a sludge fest. Some crazy combinations. Oooh and aaaah. It’s dominant. But always the same.
In Sha Allah he can bring that championship fight to AbuDhabi , UAE Capital, by smaller Eid time after Ramadan or by great Eid time in less than 5 months.
@Dingle berry McDo that is not true. His coach said he will never go to featherweight again for obvious reasons. Conor will definitely be fighting at lightweight
This is literally just like the Khamzat convo. So much praise for beating unranked bums in fashion. Feed these bums to Usman and he'll make art of it too. Why are these people that haven't proven anything given somuch praise.
