@@missprettyplants7217 It’s interesting how one day we just look at a garden and say it needs a facelift. I am enjoying the change too. Plus I really enjoy gardening and on this small plot after 32 years even I could use a revamp lol 😂
Hello Love the dappled willow in its position. When my plants get so pot bound,I do the same as you. Saw that bottom root off, shake off as much soil as I can and repot. Works ok😅❤❤
Great job and creative vision to place the willow tree in the island - and I love how it sways in the wind!! I have a Salix capria willow tree (I’m not able to write the more well known name 😂) that is the same size as your dappled and that was also pot bound. I just couldn’t keep up with the watering this year with the heat and dry spells, so I also planted it in a nearby bed. It’s MUCH happier!
It was the constant watering for me as well that inspired me to find its new home . I’ve another arb in a pot I’m hoping a friend will take for me to cut back on watering in the new heat we have in our state . The drought has taught me quite a bit about the garden and myself. Your tree and mine are thanking us for the ground to stretch its roots!!
