Awesome mate. Bloody good ethical call on leavin em with the bloke in the dark suite down there. Well done Matt, you’re an inspiration to all us fishos!! Dad meals rock mate, especially cause it means you’re with dad!! Bloody ripper
Dear Professor, There we have it…!!!! I think you didn’t realise what you said @ 3 minutes 2 seconds of the video: “I’m gonna go to work” This is it man…you’ve done it. You said it even without thinking, realising what you said. You’ve achieved your goal and for this , CONGRATULATIONS. Thank you for the lessons and the adventures. Chris
Sick fish, Matty. Those things look like they fight well. The Australian fisheries have some incredible species. Looking forward to taking a trip there one day.
A big thank you to all you guys with your fishing vids. Awesome. Pelagic, Timmy, Bowley, Drew M, etc. I don't fish much but I think I'm getting better at filleting & skinning whole fish from the local co-op. I'd love to do more fishing but it is what it is & I'm never going to catch fish like you guys do.
That first fingy was an absolute horse!! Tinny with good sounders is one of the first things on the cards when I arrive in Aus, you built the dream setup I was after and Im keen to do similar.
Mate incredible fishing, I live in the UK and just seeing all these fish has me dreaming of coming out to Australia. Congrats to you mate incredible fish and incredible video
Absolute cracking goldies 🤙nothing better than finding your own spots and getting some solid fish. Awesome vid and the little fella was smashing that goldie 🤣👌
Mad respect matty 🫡 not a lot of people would have left a school of fingers like that.. definitely a fish that demands so much respect and should be fished sparingly.. they grow so slow and are such an old fish at that age
A very special vid and session your loyal mob of followers and Fans there Matty. Give some real insight into the real you. And what a great wonderful Dad and Lad finish to a great day. Thanks mate, Charles
Thanks Matt. I bought a similar sized "Tin", to do exactly what you've just done!!. So many take away s in this one, thankyou!. Hope you get the trifecta for more good content, Im sure you will!. The challenge now is to find territory b and c as backup 😁
Another awesome video mate! That fingermark is absolute crazy. Why don’t you use a net? It actually annoys me how much anxiety it gives me waiting for you to grab the fishes tail or however it is you land it😂😂 Its so good to see you reap the rewards of all the effort you put in to catch such great fish. Everyone thinks you can just go out there and catch these magic fish every single time when it’s not like that whatsoever. The respect that you give the fish is awesome, if only everyone had the same mindset. Keep up the great work 🔥
Cracking Ep and awesome fish well done driving off so the sharks did not flog you, I here you I Live on the sunny coast and I been hunting big Fingermark off Penny Farther River north of Weipa for 10 years on my Sorties north every year with my 5m tinny with 60hp 4/ yam , this year I finally cracked the code with my old teck koden colour sounder and found the ground and great fish to 75cm I just left them Biting, I can not wait till next trip back to see if there there,
Hey Matty ever played with the idea of doing some picture in picture with sounder as you scan around and even while you’re drifting? I know I’d be super keen to keep an eye on it as you’re fishing. Be super cool to see it synced up as you hook up.
Superb content! Glad to see you making a living doing what you love most😊 Though I have the idea that you would at any chosen endeavor. While fishing alone would it be practical to be tethered off to your boat somehow?
Now your fishing mate. I told you two years ago to forget the bangers and chance these guys. The islands hold large numbers of these beautiful fish. As long as we only take what we need the fishery will last forever. People say that these fish are very slow to reach maturity. I call bullshit to that. I have seen schools of hundreds of them in 10 ft of water, all exactly the same size. If they were slow growing they would be loners. They are amazing creatures. My favourite fish even ahead of a big red.
I have little faith in data suppled by so called marine science. They tell us that the crown of thorn starfish is threat to the reef when in fact it is one of the most important factors to a healthy reef ecosystem. They know this but would rather say it’s a threat to get millions of dollars in federal research grants.
You been talking about moon facing many times now, could you maybe do a vids where you talk about moon facing? I really don't get it sorry. Really great vids matty
@@gavanbaldwin8228 echomap ultra or 8400 series for the screen but tranducer wise, gt56 for shallow up to 30-40m and gt51 for anything over 40m. The gt51 has a 260khz sidescan frequency at 600w power output which gets the range and depth. Humminbird only goes to 455khz which as you can see, maxes out at 70m on this video.
@kizzjd9578 not knowing much on side scan and not using it ...but iam after more information on sounders for side scan.....I have see the hummingbird side scan image s they look pretty cool very clear ....are you talking about power hear ? Hummingbird veres garmin...or how clear the picture is or both ? ...I run a raymarine 12 inch element.... which I use for open sea..fishing from say 25mtrs to 60 mtrs ....for snapper and other fish ...but I have not ever used it for side scan when iam out there..only sonar..which I get some very good image s from....thoughts on what to bye may be next ? ...thanks gav ...have heared a lot about hummingbird that it's not THAT GOOD IN SALTWATER OPEN SEA ? BUT GREAT IN CREEKS FOR SIDE SCAN ...
@@gavanbaldwin8228 raymarines are on par with garmin and humminbird for shallow water. In fact better than Garmin tbh. Haven’t seen it in deep water sorry. Over 40m is where the garmin shits all over the humminbirds. Also tge fact that you can use livescope as well if that’s what you’re into.
