Nice video, it's nice to hear Celia (i think its her?) pre record the announcements for the island line, and i love the semi-new trains. Nice that you included the journey aswell. :)
@@trainsinmotion3782 Celia Drummond, she was an announcer who announced for a lot of different railway companies too. Including Tfl and SWT/SWR. She passed away in January but these announcements for the IOW must have been pre-recorded.
These days they use just 2-car trains, and it has been reduced to hourly. Cannot keep them maintained. Of course the manufacturer (Vivarail) has gone bust. So that was another good idea. I see the Island Line closing when the ex-D78 stock needs replacing.
Very Nice! Those trains do look nice for the line, except I really think the island has lost its character, with the lack of those tube maps that really made the Island Line the Island Line.
@@GreaterAngliaFanClass321 The line definitely needed investment. The 80 year old trains honestly couldn't last any longer. But having the small touches, like the tube map style cartoon map wouldn't hurt, but it would give it character. Feels like a commuter train anywhere else now.
