Is it possible to record ALSO the cutting metadata? (Like ATEM MINI ISO)?

When using an Obsidian build, how many ISO streams are likely to work? I do live concerts and would love to do 6-8 but don’t know if that is too much for a system.

It seems that the live edit feed can be recorded in 4K, however, the Multicorder only captures each camera in HD resolution. What's a way to have ISO recording in 4K?

Hi, I would like to see if its possible to record my livestream but without the overlays, so on the stream I do require overlays, but on recording which we use for clips ideally I would like to have the mix already in the recording but without the overlays, is that possible?

waaa where did the drag and drop come from! Sweet ) am I right that multicorder uses the same path as replay so you have to go with one or the other?

Drag and drop has always been there! Yes, it's either or. You can either use the Instant Replay or the MultiCorder.

MPEG-2 TS? Do I need to install something for that to show up? I don't see it in the guide or on my vMix MultiCorder, I did see it on your video that is why I was asking. Oh and I don't need it I have plenty of ways to record stuff with MultiCorder. Thanks for the walk thru it was really helpful for me.

I believe that shows up if you've bought the Windows DVD player. The DVD player includes the codec and allows you do the recording. The option is also available under FFMPEG but is less efficient than the included one with the DVD player. This used to be installed by default but was changed when they started charging for the DVD player.

Awesome and thanks for that info. I will see if I can track that down as I have had some issues using TS files with my editing system oddly. They were fine for a long time then started losing sync and I ended up switching to a different codec to avoid issues while editing. I currently use Vegas to edit but that has been a nightmare for me in recent years for long form stuff because of crashes and this TS codec issue I mentioned. LOVE vMix it is the Swiss Army Knife of Production. Don't know how anyone who does video production can live without it.

Two questions: Does this work in addition to hitting the main recording button? Is there a way to use multicorder for audio only with no video?

This can work in addition to the record button as it's recording invidual cameras. This is for video+audio, there isn't an audio only option.

So, there's only one start button for both cams? I need to record two rooms (one camera each) but the two meetings in those rooms sometimes overlap but may not start and end at the same time. The meetings are not necessarily simultaneous so I need a way to start and stop the recording individually.

Yes, typically ISO recording is done for multicam productions that are filming the same production, so they all need to be started at the same time. All cameras are going to be recording the same content at the same time. There is dual recording in vMix, but again this is for simutaneous records. If you wanted 2 recordings with completely different timing you could record the 2nd camera via NDI. Something like the NewTek NDI IsoCorder Free option would work.

Good video.. I have issue....once i start video recording with my phones it start scrabbling.... if I talk into the microphone it will take 4sec before it wil reflect... What can I do?

What s the max resolution for Multicorder? I set HD , the outcome size is 1920x1080 but its seems the pixel is large

Why isn't this available with RTSP streams? Surely it wouldn't need the overhead of recoding the footage, when it's arriving at the vMix system as an mpeg4 stream already.

Hi, RTSP streams aren't included as the MultiCorder was designed for recording high quality and consistent frame rate camera sources.

That's a shame, there's camera's we've used for drag racing live streams that are RTSP based, that would have made for great replays.

What about multi recording with vMix Call??

Hi Chuck, as the MultiCorder was designed for high quality, consistent frame rate camera sources. Unfortunately vMix Call is not supported. You could always assign a Call to a different output and record it with the secondary recorder. You could also send the Calls out via NDI and record them on another device.

We’ve tried to get customer service with no help. Can someone please reach out. We’ve got the full program and when we record with Multicorder it records with no Audi and the speed is super fast
