IsoAcoustics ISO-155 Speaker Isolation Stands Review: Not Snake Oil! 

In this video I call them ISO-L8R 155, however, these are the newer model named ISO-155, which is a little different than the previous model. I thought they were the same as the model names are very similar.

I agree 100% with this review. I bought a pair of the IsoAcoustics to use with my Q Acoustics M20 speakers. I didn't think they would actually do much but I was totally wrong: as you described, the tightness and impact of the bass became much better and in particular the sound stage became significantly wider. I was really surprised. They definitely work really well.

My measurements beat your personal experience. As explained in my article, any perceived difference is due to the new height. When you account for that, all differences go away.

What about monitor stands? As long as they are freely isolated and heavier than the cabinets, they will also do the same thing. And some of them are cheaper as well. And do you think DIY option like a wooden stand with high density rubber pads on both top and bottom will perform better or not? Another thing, can the improvement in sound can be attributed to the height gained with the stands instead of the stand itself? As now, the tweeter and woofer axis is in-line with your ears.

nice video, first i imagined that RS 10000 are the price of the speakers with stand but no hahaha by the way expensive and quality things does make a differance alot than the cheaper ones but i prefer expensive speaker without stands not slightly cheap speaker with expensive stand love your videos

TechReflex can you set up and review a bookshelf speaker based home stereo system. A good one !! How about a combination of yamaha bookshelf speakers and stereo receiver set up . Yamaha because its easily available in India.

I have home theatre connected to a turntable (vinyl record player) and I thought I should use the speaker stands for my woofer.

Big difference between these and foam isolation pads (actual pads, not the foam he used as an example).

In this setup pictured, the monitors are too far apart in relation to the listener. If anything, they should be mounted on the wall, closer together and angled downward.

There's a neckband earphones on Amazon of brand decibel9 Roar which is priced at rs. 3k, and has triple drivers and 24 hours battery life, what are your thoughts on it, should i give it a shot as there is no review and i dont think anyone will be interested for less a known brand, should i go for it or not?

Great reviews man! You've definitely convinced me to spend a bit more to get the Adam T5V's (instead of the JBL LSR305 MKii's) as well as a pair of isolation stands like these. Hey man nice review !!! I have an integrated amplifier + passive speakers hi-fi setup on my PC desktop for which i temporarily use books as speaker stands... So i was thinking to get a pair of the 155s or the 200s. It's a shame that their build quality is bad ( for the price ) and on the video they seemed quite wobbly as well, but i guess in the end they are stable after all. I am confident that i will notice a difference in sound based on your review as well as others and since in general it is known that good speakers need good stands in order to perform at their best, thus i was considering my system incomplete. What's more, i am also afraid that the book stands might be "bottlenecking" my system's bass output volume. For this purpose i would like to ask you, since my speaker's dimensions are : 38 cm x 31.4 cm x 20.6 cm ( H x D X L ) and their weight is 6kg which of the two stands would you recommend? The 155s cost around 100 euro while the 200s cost around 160 euro where i am from so yeah....The 200s seem pretty overpriced to me tbh but i think they would fit better to the dimensions of my speakers. I would really appreciate if you could give me your opinion. Thanks !!!

No actual youtuber thought about testing their angling/tilting ability? There's producers out there wondering if they can tilt the monitors backwards.

I guess what they do is make the monitors come up to ear levels. I can make a wooden platform for that :)

Agree. They do make a nice improvement to the sound. $100 for a lifetime of use is worth it when you consider the improvement they make.

Is it a good idea to use Adam audio t5v has a TV speaker in a 150 square feet room?, I my listening position would be around 9ish ft away from the speaker.
