@Wayfaring Stranger Taijustsu is hand to hand combat style in Naruto - Rock Lee is the character who uses it the most. He should have explained it lol
i mean Taijustsu is real, it isn't from Naruto (even though that's what he was referring too). Its just a catch all Japanese term for empty handed martial arts
As a Japanese who read Naruto since the very episode 1 in childhood, I can say you can’t imagine how legend he is. Even in Japan, people grow up and start mocking reading “manga is not cool anymore, not attractive to girls”. Dude is a real Rock Lee, never stopped and still Alpha as hell. Kishimoto sensei must really appreciate him too!
@@Leonhartz In case you are under 20, that was way worth in ‘90. I don’t know where you live tho, now like everyone in Japan, outside of Japan, reads some mangas and watches animes, bunch of article about them. Now even you use all “Leon Hart” with no shame, in ‘90 even us nerd couldn’t do that it used to be a social death :)
@@hakimhayashi You misunderstood me. I said that reading manga or obsessing over anime was never attractive. It has become more accepted around the world but the vast of people still hate it.
@@Leonhartz Ok I missed your point man, my bad. Although my original point was also not quit what you were saying. Reading or watching them has never been attentive, BUT because more and more “attractive (athletes or model etc.)” people now do it in public like Israel makes us nerdy nerd less “unattractive”. Yep it’d never been plus on your attractiveness for sure lol
I’m a 23 year old American that watches anime, collects manga (mostly seinen now), and has anime art in my living room. I used to get joked on for liking dbz in the early 2000s but now it has come to be more acceptable. Older people are still confused and think it’s only childish cartoons lol
I used to think when he did those poses in fight he was being cocky and flashy, and but he's literally just a weeb who's cosplaying in his mind. So adorable.
@@danielsoto8934 "weeb 'virus'" OK, you are clearly not happy about the acceptance of weebness by western countries, haha! Sorry that you have to deal with it so much. I can definitely say it's an acquired taste. But man, things have changed. Being called a nerd was an insult before... now it's a badge of honor... so hey, as long as we roll with the punches and accept each other's weirdness, we'll survive
@@tdb4763 after losing to Alex Pereira it was time for him to retire that's a clear indication that his prime is fading but he will always be one of my favorite fighters
@@Drive582 The f are you guys talking about lmao. Dude has his first defeat ever in his weight category and you're lying abt him retiring. I swear the screen is way too comfy for you guys. Respect the athlete he is.
Born in Nigeria, lived briefly in Ghana, moved to New Zealand, is fan of a Japanese anime, is named Israel, trained by Romanian wrestler, speaks with a near perfect American accent.
i give all respect to this man, this man took his time to watch the whole naruto franchise and then fight in these matches and his entrance i loved it, all my ownership of respect goes to this man
Not exactly for the press only, he knows hes being recorded so hes sending a message of his thoughts to everyone since it was a perfect opportunity to make the audience understand why he thought that moment was cool.
@@imclappingurmomscheekstoni2693 Naruto is so cool you have no idea, and the main character values are truly inspiring, even for a 30 year old, i watch it last year for the first time.
I feel like I'm in the greatest timeline. Fighters are doing anime moves, gamers are boxing and playing chess, magnus carlsen is playing geoguesser with ludwig, melee players are getting in the ring. The world is so fun right now!
A lot of people don't understand how much personal philosophy and self image helps in a fight and just overall day to day activities. In that way I feel he's very strong and he proves it.
I feel this guy, he took that shit to a mentality and set the bar. He’s straight manifesting his dream with inspirations of anime. People see cartoons, I see amazing stories. This guy is legit fucking amazing.
I love when he started explaining that Rock Lee only does Taijutsu because he doesnt have any ninjutsu ability, I can just imagine the press guys being nice, nodding and smiling.
you can’t hate this man. a nerd, legend in the making and absolute assassin. AND THIS MAN HAS A TOPH TATOO? THE GREATEST AVATAR CHARACTER EVER? a true king
It looked cool and literally no other fighter has showed this kind of expression so ig they wanted to learn thinking it was some secret ninja style art 😂
If you think it's still not cool enough, this guy was popular in China before he came to the UFC. He's beating fighters there and they called him the Black Dragon. He's a real life MC.
He just did us nerds and weebs justice. It's been a long time we've been waiting for a REAL hero. Remember how back then, nerds would get beat by bullies and just hope that they really have superpowers just like their favorite anime character? This man incorporated real techniques but is a weeb by heart since the beginning and manages to make it TO THE UFC!! God bless him and much love and respect!!
I feel him. Naruto helped me motivate through this pamdemic. Also, rock lee and might guy are among the characters that I loved in the Naruto Universe.
@Yuriii bro its cringey as fuck and im a full on weeb, but im more than okay with him to keep doing this shit, he deserves it, dudes a absolute beast in the octagon, hes earnt it, with only a 1 loss record in the UFC and over 20 wins, he can be as cringey as he wants.
How cool!! Rock Lee has always been my favorite Naruto character. Even since he bodied Sasuke effortlessly during his first appearance I knew he was gonna be a menace. He's relatable, sweet, determined, and insanely tough. One of the best anime characters around.
@@lazieone3806 he doesn't just watch it, he has anime tattoos, practiced Naruto hand sign to the point where he mastered them, and has his car based off of kurama.
@@CazWitDaCash honestly I feel like Izzy the better fighter. I think he just went in either Hotheaded expecting to win, or he didn’t prepare for the wrestling moves. More then likely the second on cause he topically a humble dude. But he definitely messed up not preparing for ground moves cause jans a straight monster when it comes to that. Not just that but Jan can scrap a lil bit to I think that played a role. Honestly I think if Izzy prepared and trained better he prolly would have won. Definitely Not by a lot, but woulda been a very close win.
I love how this guy can talk about the stuff he loves without caring what anyone thinks. Even if most of the people there don’t have a clue wtf he’s talking about, he don’t care. He stays true to himself, that’s dope as fuck.
I guess it just depends on who you are. When you're a kickass athlete who's in shape and has money, you can talk about anime 'til the cows come home. But when you're someone like me... Overweight dudes with dead-end jobs who live with their moms don't get to brag about the anime they're into.
@@nicholashayes5773 I mean.. I'm an in shape dude and I don't really think to share my anime love with random people that I connect with unless they seem the type to take an interest. It's like any person who's into any hobby. I'd imagine most mindful people won't just shove their passions down other's throats unless there's a logical opportunity to share that part of their life with a person in conversation. I don't think you have to check off a bunch of boxes on a list of pre-requisites to share your (geeky?) interests with people, though, if that's what you actually want to do. But randomly talking about sports cars or anime or whatever with a person without really building up to it is going to come across some type of way regardless. Has nothing to do with being overweight or having a dead end job. I can 'brag' or just express my genuine excitement and happiness at reaching a crazy power lifting numerical goal but most people who don't lift won't really give a shit beyond "oh, that's cool" It is what it is.
@@nicholashayes5773 Maybe you should stop feeling sorry for yourself. It's on you to better yourself and improve. Suck it up, find a better job, find your own place once money allows (live with others), start working out and stop eating like your 12. Do that..... you will be 80% of the way there
I love how the reporter knew what the Akatsuki is. He asked him why he has an Akatsuki shirt on. It’s official, this dude is spreading the love of anime to everyone!
opponent: "I'm gonna beat this weeb, he got nothing" him: start having flashbacks about friendship, perseverance. Start screaming. opponent: "welp, nice knowing you all"
@@accountdeleted6236 Why would he fuck up anyone that calls him out as a weeb tho? Being called out as a weeb is a good thing since it means you're synonymous with good culture.
This guy's what all people with a hobby or interest should be like, totally proud and unapologetic of the things he loves, he wears it like armour! What a badass.
Heck yeah. Though let's be honest, he can do that because is *already* cute and athletic and can beat up most people who would dare mock him for being a nerd. He's a special rare breed of nerd. Special. Rare.
