Charles pulling guard, getting takedowns and initiating clinches. attacking from the bottom and getting up. Islam had perfect absolutely fucking perfect timing, and almost didnt miss a single punch or strike. HIs throws off the rhythm step were perfect, no hesitaion. literally one step ahead. If any these guys really caught clean, the result of the fight is exactly that. Islam would have tapped too if he had gotten caught with the same punch. I think people are exaggerating how one-sided it was- Makhachev was dominant, but Charles still stood a chance. Oliveira was being tricky on the ground. Champs can come back and avenge themselves on rematches. Any athlete knows that you will have different energy and different performance on different days. I’m hoping he can get the rematch.
