Beating a starved and dehydrated Pereira isn’t really that great of an accomplishment. They should fight at 205. Don’t forget they’re basically kickboxing in the ufc as well and it’s still 3-1.

I dont know if Izzy being heavier is going to really help him in this fight. That will make the weight cut harder and slow him down in the fight (will probably make him get tired faster) Its an odd strategy when you are 35 and have been used to a certain way of prepping for so long
His body is probably naturally getting heavier since he’s getting older, seems he’s turning it into muscle. According to him he is living more like an athlete and taking his nutrition more seriously now so if he keeps most of his speed he should be good, it’s his timing, precision and reflexes that make him special so if he keeps that and adds power it’s probably better. He has elite cardio so im sure he’s prepared to fight heavier

Francis only has one title defense and his legacy in the UFC is going to more about what his potential was and "what could have been" if he stayed in the UFC and racked up some consecutive title defenses. This is not throwing shade at him or hating on him, he left the UFC after that single title defense so there isn't much there to even call a legacy...
The heavyweight division then vs now is a complete change. Tom and Sergie weren't on top to challenge Francis. Jon wasn't a heavyweight. To say Francis would have defeated these guys is far reach.

Francis won the title. He's not defended anything. He's a one trick pony he's got a punch. If he fought legitimate champions 10 times he would lose eight of them. If you thought the temporary champion in England, he would lose nine out of 10. He has a striker chance. He's so one dimensional That he's very very very beatable. He was very smart. He went to the boxing and made the money because if he would've stayed in the USC he would find out he's not that great of a fighter. And then he would never have got the boxing match. So kudos to him or his management for getting him the big payday. He made more unboxing than he would ever make in the UFC. And he did it in one fight.
