This once again confirms it, and the quote has to be updated: To quote Michael Brooks: "It’s not a complex issue. That’s the big thing. It’s super simple. There’s one group that has enormous power. It’s the most powerful country in the Middle East. It’s backed by the United States. It acts on MULTIPLE other populations of people with total impunity and it’s never held accountable for anything." R.I.P.
@@echoe4806 Stow that BS whataboutism. Any crimes committed by those groups won't hide all the atrocities the IOF has, and is continuing, to perpetrate.
No media mentions this BUT if you look into United States Marine service in 1982 you will find (Beirut) the IDF also targeted them and they were literally just peacekeeper’s there also , it’s time the world realizes israel is not the victim!
It's declaring war on the UN. But as we've come to learn, the UN has been shown to be little more than a front for the Western powers to condemn others with while not needing to abide by the same standards themselves.
So sick and tired of horrible people doing horrible things and when they get called out for it, they cry 'that's antisemitic'! The word has lost ALL meaning.
The pictures coming out in the last few hours have been the worst yet. The scale, the body parts, the screaming. Never forgotten, never forgiven. There’s no coming back from this past year.
Do you realize there is a war going on there? If someone is launching rockets at me for a year do you think I will just sit down and do nothing because your international laws?
Dunno, but come to think of it, maybe only deploying women and children as human shields, stockpiling munitions under residential buildings, schools and hospitals, raping, starving, and murdering hostages? Besides that, well honestly, you've got me stumped. Here I am, racking my brains, and all I can muster is very long and tedious list of pretty trivial misdemeanors, like anti-semitism, scrapping democracy, chucking gay men off rooftops, shooting civilians trying to get food aid from UN delivery trucks, decapitating babies, spitting on the corpses war dead, spots of necrophilia here and there, firing rockets on their own people and pinning the resulting carnage on enemy forces, denying the Holocaust and yet praising it, calling for genocide, diverting UN and donor funds to building tunnel warrens, ...and I can go on, but as I said - trivial and tedious.
Vote independent or become an independent councillor and go for your local MP vote. It’s the only way we’re going to help ourselves. Also please read if you haven’t already “The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists” very good book that explains why we should take control. Take care.
I don’t think we should be too bullish about praising France and Macron for their position here. They’re just annoyed that Isràel is stepping on their imperialist toes - as far as France is concerned, Lebanon is their plaything.
Out of curiosity, when was the last time France attacked the state of Lebanon? Would France appreciate an ally destabilizing a common “plaything”? Why not?
So are you surprised they are doing the same thing in Lebanon as in Gaza not only UN personal press people and medical facilities and personal. Weak up !!!
How did it happen that despite UN Resolution 1701 and the deployment of peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah was based on the Israeli border and from there it began attacking civilian settlements in northern Israel, starting on 7/10?
Maybe it's because in a year Gaza has sustained 40x the October 7th fatalities and is currently rubble and ruins. Netanyahu refused to ceasefire if the hostages were released, that's on his head
How the rich and the representatives in Parliament and the media keep gaslighting the public as to the reasons for economic stagnation is one of the great.
I am going to throw a spanner in your prescription argument which would seem reasonable, as a Youth Onset brittle Diabetic. I was diagnosed age 9 1/2 and was immediately prescribed insulin to keep me alive. 9 1/2 years old was a late diagnosis and insulin is the only treatment for Youth Onset Diabetics. Insulin costs about £700 a vial and I use on average 3 - 4 vials a month. I am now unable to work as I colapse without warning. Due to typical prejudice I was never able to earn enough as a carer to pay tax. As a diabetic I was entitled to free prescriptions since diagnoses. I disagree I should have paid for prescriptions, if my hateful mother had been asked to pay to keep me alive I would now be dead. Wendy
A colony like Isrealy have command centres near Isrealis and under hospitals shown on main stream media of underground facilities for soldiers and civilians but why not the same for a country called Palestine

Protections From Day One whilst retaining a Probation Period aren't contradictory positions. I experienced this around 15 years ago, and as far as I understand the rules remain the same at present. I'd passed the 6 week probation period for my new employment. I'd been getting positive feedback for the whole period. My 1st APR after my probation ended my employer dismissed me without reason. I sought out advice on unfair dismissal and was advised that, by law, no reason for dismissal is required within the 1st two years of employment and without a reason being given a case could not be brought. The employer basically took me on to help promote and organise the largest most profitable sporting event in the city then got rid of me when it was over.
Strictly speaking, we don’t even need to raise taxes to get better public services and growth. We just need to put ourselves to work and then print the money to distribute the extra wealth we have created. Wealth is not money. Wealth is people making the goods and delivering the services that we need and want.

Try living in Scotland with the highest trafi prices in the world, but producing for England Scotland is now a battery for England , do some real actually research something
Also I think political whips should be abolished - it makes politicians lazy in educating themselves about the issues that come up and see/understand how things relate to their constituents - I don't think that relates to a large section of backbenchers (newbies) but it has been a growing concern over the past few decades
I don't know much about oxymoron's but isn't that statement that somebody unacquainted with a subject to pose the most radical 1:04:03... Yet a politician not trained in a field is appointed the "health secretary" is in essence unacquainted...✌
Nice catch. Though I feel like if you're being asked to run something humongous and incredibly complicated, you don't need to ask interesting questions, you need to understand how it runs.
Ah, yes, there must also have been a Command and Control centre in the flour store, which was obliterated. Starmer, still feeling the novelty of being in the wings of the world stage while thinking he's a major player. What a sad and pathetic excuse of a man.
If only there was a way for MPs to be paid some money for their work and be able to spend that money on things they want to do. It seems like those are now the methods of accessing cabinet members in this country: donate a large amount to the party of the day or go to a Taylor Swift concert.
They actually are trying to do that, recently a multi millionaire threw a tantrum about inheritance tax. The loopholes need closing. People cannot become wealthy off the backs of the British people and not give back to allow others to have the same opportunity. But people defend these elites - normal people do not just the elites. Society need to stop worshiping wealth and classism. That’s the main issue.
The problem with union membership is paying £200 a year for ineffectual nothing. No one ever seems to suggest striking, or hitting exploitative employers (which includes pretty much all corporations) where it hurts. Bland drawn out negtiatios for 3% is pointless if, after tax, the pay rise is lower than the union fees.
If you read further into what Paul Johnson et al say, they basically say that higher earners have already been squeezed a lot more than average earners over the last 15 years, and also that in European countries such as France, Germany and the Scandinavian countries, tax rates for average earners are a lot higher. "Tax the rich" might be a pithy catch line, but if we want better public services then almost everyone but the very poorest is going to have to pay more, and forego some consumption. Getting people on-side for this is going to be difficult to say the least, especially when the national conversation is so unserious at times, and everyone thinks "rich" means "someone slightly better off than me".
Hey Novara, can you draw analysis between NATO "intervention" in Yugoslavia (read: Serbia) in 1999 and situation in Israel? Do you remember what trigered NATO response?
As you get into elder years your health is likely to be much more affected, so prescriptions could very much add up and affect your standard of living depending on your circumstances.
While a full-blown global war remains unlikely due to the deterrence provided by nuclear weapons and the economic interdependence of major powers, the risk of a significant regional conflict in the Middle East is high. Once such a conflict starts, the momentum of events could lead to unintended consequences that draw in more actors, pushing the situation closer to a point where diplomacy may no longer suffice to prevent a broader war. You can almost feel them willing it to come.
Very impressed Helena. Pay £5 per month for Novara Media, Trying to pay similar for a subscription for you Helena ....budgetting 🙂? Thank you, from Wendy
Don't agree with free prescriptions for all, once you see how much gets wasted by people stockpiling because it's free or getting over the counter meds (paracetamol, hayfever tabs) on prescription just cos it's free (costs the NHS several pounds to supply paracetamol that can be bought for 30p). The levy for those that pay is too high (paying £9.80 for something that costs about a £1), should be all pay (except medical exemption - signed off by Dr and those on Universal Credit), but the cost reduced to something like 50p per item. As it stands, working people are subsidising medication for wealthy pensioners.
Scotland successfully has free prescriptions. There will be savings in bureaucracy and other things which are probably well documented. Stockpiling is not really possible because the pharmacy keeps track of your meds.
