Israel 'Comes to a Standstill' to Pray, Fast, Repent for 25 Hours as the Nation Observes Yom Kippur

Jews around the world are observing the holiest day of the year on Thursday - Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the culmination of the “Ten Days of Awe.”
“These are heavy, heavy days of repentance and reflection and seeking God’s face as we prepare to go stand before Him in a state of fasting and humility on the day of Yom Kippur,” Boaz Michael, founder of First Fruits of Zion, told CBN News. In Israel on Yom Kippur, the nation comes to a standstill. The streets are empty, public transportation ends, television broadcasting stops and for one day a year, the country stops to seek the God of the Bible.

Because Jesus is going to scoop us out of here very soon and we must be ready and prepared to be the Bride of Christ. Still, we should respect the Law of God and apply in our lives Jesus did say that out of the 10 commandments we really need to follow the first 2 Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind and soul, and to Love your neighbor as you also love yourself. If we can practice and do these two commands, then we have fulfill the whole 10

@@firstnamelastname6717 As long as I focus on the law, I tend to repeat it but if I focus on the unmerited favour of God I don't repeat it. Isn't the Bible says to look for the things of above. Yes, like you said, I do ask my DAD to forgive me or just say sorry, but I don't repent again like it was told to the Jews( people of the law) by John. Because the Jews trusted on their own work for righteousness and not God for His 'righteousness' which comes through Grace.

Jesus said to keep the law. He said whoever breaks the least of the commandments from the torah will be least in the kingdom of heaven, and whoever keeps them all will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. It was Paul that said the law is removed with the death of jesus. Jesus and his disciples kept the law of moses, which has more than 600 commandments. Salvation comes only through belief in the one true God Yahweh, his prophets, and his messiah jesus christ, as well as keeping the law of moses. Praise be to the Almighty God Yahweh

@@jancyvargheese5351 Jesus died and rose to free us from the law.That’s what the blood of Jesus does for us. After receiving Christ we desire and do live A life that is pleasing to God. We are free from the wages of sin because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. There are no works that anyone could do that could secure a place in heaven. There are rewards for doing things once we get there though. But We are saved and have eternal security Only through faith in knowing that Jesus’ blood is the only thing that could recompense. We are not saved through believing in the prophets,anything or anyone else. salvation is secured Only through Jesus.

@@adailydose7196 where does jesus or his disciples say this? No one said this except Paul, who was not considered to be a true apostle by the real apostles of jesus like Peter. In fact, Peter continued the animal sacrifices if you read the book of acts. They were jews. The death of christ did not abolish the law or the animal sacrifices. Peter, the apostles and the Jews continued animal sacrifices and kept the law,without breaking even the smallest of the commandments. The commandments are the guidance sent by God himself on how every believer in the one true God must live, according to the wishes of God, and what he says is right. Without the law, there is no morality, justice, and faith, all of which are needed for salvation

It is not by works that we are saved.We are saved on to good works. The disciples were human and we’re not perfect Jesus is the only perfect and sinless God! Here’s some scripture Acts4:12,Hebrews 1:3, first John 3:3-5, first John 14:6 John 3:18 and so many more. Read your Bible!! Jesus is the only hope that we have. Obeying of the Commandments does not save us that is works. We should do good things yes but it does not save us. When we do good things it shows that we love Christ

You know what I liked about the story of Jonah , Is that he couldn't run from God when God recognized him. God called him to do something at it was then a serious matter of life and death when he disobeyed God but I don't think God would let Jonah die but to make sure what God called him to do was done.
