She's beautiful, how dare any of you say otherwise. Whoever gives her insult, you insult humanity, music, and this universe as a whole. Dana is an absolutely amazing person. She's standing tall, proud, and unafraid. She's worth so much more than all of you losers combined twenty times over. Kudos to Dana, we love you! Keep singing your heart out, you're an inspiration. Eurovision is a song contest to group different nations and not to put on all the differences!!! This song is so nice. Very nice performance Dana!!! I simply love it. I am not a big fan of Dana International but I think Hebrew is one of the most beautiful languages and it's good and amazing that somenone like her is competing for Israel again. It would be amazing, if Israel could become more of a save haven in the region for people like her.

@chemlight82 Although geographically not in Europe, Israel is within the European Broadcasting Area and can thus participate in the Eurovision Song Contest. Israel is a member of the EBU, and made its first appearance in 1973. Israel has participated in the contest 33 times, and has won it 3 times: in 1978, in 1979, and in 1998. Israel has hosted the contest twice, in 1979 and in 1999.

Israel is in the Eurovision because they are a member of the EBU(European Broadcasting Union). Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Marocco and Tunisia are also members and can therefore participate in the Eurovision if they want to. Marocco entered the competition in 1980, although they are not a european country.

@lefteris1208 True, but the Eurovision is for members of the European Broadcasting Union. That's why they as well as Georgia, Amenia, Aserbajan and Turkey can compete (actually in 1980 Marocco also partisipated).

For everone whos saying Israel is not in Europe, it is a part of the European Broadcasting Union along with Turkey, Russia and Azerbaijan. Therefore, can participate in the Eurovision Song Contest.

@tunezgirl @tunezgirl Important is who is member of the European Broadcasting Union - the EBU Non-European members of the EBU are Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia! If they wanted, they all could participate. Morocco took part in 1980.

@xusko6 Morocco in Africa participated once before. So any European country and the countries who are close to Europe. Northern Africa and the west-asian countries can participate.
