Iran's foreign minister wared the U.S. military against sending forces to operate in Israel. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who helped reached Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, posted on X, "The US has been delivering record amount of arms to Israel. It is now also putting lives of its troops at risk by deploying them to operate US missile systems in Israel. While we have made tremendous efforts in recent days to contain an all-out war in our region, I say it clearly that we have no red lines in defending our people and interests." The U.S. is sending a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense battery along with U.S. troops to Israel. The Pentagon announced the support to Israel shortly after Iran made its threat.

For those of you writing Iran off as a non threat, I challenge you to reconsider your point of view. Iran is a technologically modern nation state with a modern military and economy. Yes, heavily sanctioned and such, but still a very capable force nonetheless. There’s a reason why Iran has only ever been regime changed through psychological operations, and not by strategic and tactical means. No one wants to get into a direct fight with them, and it’s for the same reason we haven’t engaged Russia directly. It would be a very costly war for the west. Just saying 🤷

Israel likely will wait until Hezbollah is a low level threat, like HAMAS at this point, before going after Iran. They will have to go hard and non-stop to keep air dominance and keep eyes on any launches should they have a nuclear weapons. But Iran can hit back. Smartalec1828 and others, it is not out of the question that Iran already has several nuclear bombs but will not publicly announce this until they have developed around a thousand. However, if pressed by the U.S., they could unleash one on us. Thereby, you can see how them having a bomb could make them very threatening. And it makes a strong argument for stopping them now before it becomes too dangerous to do so.

Those who are laughing, I hope this doesn't turn into another 9-11. Are we certain what they have access to and who their allies are? The worse one can do is underestimate an opponent.

Getting a little overconfident and invasive with this administration. Got a lot of replacement democrat voters coming in the country illegally. Very dangerous times. Miss being able to sleep at night.

This military involvement of the USA leads to an expansion of the fighting and prolongs the war. This causes great suffering and anxiety for the local civilian population. They will suffer from hunger and water shortages and will be dependent on aid supplies.
