Thank you for sharing this!!! It’s so neat to see how other moms in the world go through childbirth. My kids did the same thing with my bed- moving it up and down!!!😂 I loved being at the hospital because I knew that was my only time of being pampered like that!! But I hate sleeping in hospital beds! I, too, looked forward to getting home and being in my own bed. Just getting back to “normal”. I don’t know about you, but after having a baby, it kicked my butt for about 3 months! After about 3 months, I got my strength back and was able to get a schedule/order into my life. I see your baby is on his side a lot. I did that too. In America they stress babies on their back to sleep. 40+ years ago, it was recommended to put babies on their tummy to sleep. That’s what my mom did. They say “back to sleep” helps reduce SIDS. But I was always afraid if the baby spit up, they would choke on it. So I rotated my babies from side, stomach, and back. If they were on their back, I elevated the bassinet so they were not totally flat. I also learned the hard way that if a baby is on his back all the time, he will get a flat spot on his skull!!! But I was constantly watching my babies and they slept right by my bed in the bassinet. Thankfully they were fine. What do doctors recommend in Israel regarding sleep positions? What do they recommend about breastfeeding? Scheduled feedings or on demand? I demand fed my first child and it was a nightmare. I never knew when he was going to eat, I would be so sore because he would go hours without nursing. So my babies 2-6 were schedule fed. Every 3 hours I’d nurse them. Even if I had to wake them. It gave me the freedom to plan my day. This method seems to be very unpopular in America and lactation consultants frown upon it. But I was miserable with demand feeding and schedule feeding saved my sanity and my babies were good and healthy! What do you do? No judgement here, all women have to do what works for them ❤ You look amazing when going home! Refreshed and doesn’t even look like you just had a baby! And to plan for Shabbat!!! Girl, that’s amazing!! ❤ Just take care of yourself and take time to heal! Isn’t it weird how big your other children seem now, compared to the baby??? I thought my toddlers were small until I brought home a baby! I can’t believe how big your baby girl is now!!! If I lived near you, we’d never get anything done because we would talk all the time!! 😂😂😂😂😂 Per my usual, I wrote you a book! 😂 Take care my friend! You’re in my prayers!! Much love to you and your family!!!! I do treasure our friendship, even it is thousands of miles away!❤❤❤❤

Hehe 😅 I definitely think we'd be the best buds, we have a lot In common 😊 💕 sleep positions Israelis are definitely with the science community that stomach (and side!) increases Sids risk.. I do try to put Amiad on side and stomach also but try to check up on him more that way...also breastfeeding and paccie decreases risk 👍 👍 Interesting about the on demand vs schedule, so happy you found what works for you!! I find that first few weeks on demand works best for us and then by 3ish months they kind of get more into a 3 hour set schedule by themselves. I think for older babies an exact nap schedule and is important! 💕 Thanks again for your comments dear friend 💕 appreciate your warm words and prayers 🙏

Which hospital did you go to?!! I’m in Jerusalem and never had less than 3 ladies to a room. I think it should be really stressed that private recovery rooms are the exception and not the rule in Israel

Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv, absolutely correct this is not the norm yet. I understand a few others in the merkaz also offer private rooms like walfson and now Sheba too.
