Dearest Israel, most beloved Israelis, and Jewish people everywhere whom the Lord your God loves with a steadfast love that never ceases (Lamentations 3:22),
In your hour of greatest trial and need, I urge you to consider that your greatest hope lies with-Jesus!
I dare you to try calling upon the name of Jesus and see if he does not respond and speedily come to your rescue!
If you find yourself in sudden crisis or calamity, call upon the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob-and the one He has sent into this world-his popular name is "Jesus Christ" but his Hebrew name is Yeshua HaMashiach.
Yeshua means salvation-a salvation the God of Israel-Adonai-YOUR GOD has sent into this broken and dying world.
This Yeshua is the power of God’s salvation that has broken into this world and can break into your situation. This Yeshua is God’s mighty hand and outstretched arm that has reached out with good news of the complete forgiveness and washing away all our sins, and the gift of real change-a new reality of new life, a new creation, and a new heart in his. He will make you whole from the inside out. That is true shalom.
He is able to reach you in your personal trouble, your crisis, your confusion, your cries, your defeat, even your deepest despair and take you from there, to soar on wings like the eagles and to steady your feet on a solid ground.
Call upon his name, and see if he will not again split the sea for your deliverance. He is the God of hope against all the odds-even impossible and opposing odds.
This is my story and the stories of so many others who called upon his name in their worst despair, from the pit, from the depth of Sheol-and was rescued and redeemed against all the odds, like going from death to life again.
Israel, Yeshua is the Son of David who can slay your Goliath again (not flesh-and-blood people themselves but the evil spirit dwelling in and driving people like Hamas and terrorists and antisemites), and not let your enemies rejoice over you (Psalm 30:1).
He will exchange your mourning for dancing.
He will loose your sackcloth and clothe you in gladness (Psalm 30:11).
Come to him, cry out his name, wait upon the Lord.
Plead with him as David did:
“What profit is there in my death,
if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it tell of your faithfulness?
Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me!
O Lord, be my helper!” (Psalm 30:8-10).
And when he does all this, don’t forget that it is by this Moses-like Messiah (Jesus) that he has delivered you, healed you, and drowned your true enemies, and exalted you so that your glory may sing his praise and not be silent (Psalm 30:12).
“I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD" (Psalm 40:1-3:).
