This is the CD in my car.... Have had it over 10yrs and rarely change it out. I discovered him years after he passed.... the beautiful voice of the Islands..... timeless and pure...
Truly! I was blessed to see/hear Makaha Sons Of Ni'ihau, here in Hilo town, back when Iz's older bro Skippy was still alive. Early 70's. No words for how loved is this music! It IS THIS AINA. And it IS thrice blessed Hawaiian people! Still stay here in Puna, & in these 50 years dis haole wahine stay, I say I say, I'll never ever get enough of Hawai'ian music!
I had this CD and a few others. When I moved back to mainland in 2003, I could not play them without crying. I had to leave my womanizer behind. These were our songs. Finally can listen again, deeply appreciate. Still cry but for different reasons!
This Voice is sacred. Start ing all over again is part of my daily morning ritual. Listening to his testimony is profound. Heart breaking - Life. He delivered for us. Spiritual, supernatural. Many Thanks Iz.
Me too. Have a home in Launiupoko. Been going to and living on Maui for fifty years. The most beautiful place on earth. I have traveled all over the world. The only place that comes close are the savanna’s of Africa and the Wildlife there. 🌺❤️🙏
Same here, Mayra. He is THE Hawai'ian! He never fails to move me after almost 50 years here on Big Island. Blessed to see him with his brother Skippy & Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau, in early 70s here in Hilo before Skippy passed. Those 2 equalled one TON of Aloha. Of all the wonderful Hawai'ian music I love, there is no other like Bradda Iz. He is the gift that goes on giving, forever.
Growing up my mom would always jam out to IZ, so glad she did. Now I share his music with my daughter only 4yrs old. Everywhere we go, can we listen to IZ daddy? He truly reaches everyone, whether young or old... Much luv IZ, thank you for all the memories you have created for me.. RIP....
Kim, I truly comprehend your post. I know words cannot express your feelings or grief. What I can say in respect to your tutu, my father died in August. My 6 year old nephew , Kaimana Kepa was killed by a car in 2005. About 2 days later, my step father was coming down Saddle road from working at Hakalau. In the mists he saw Kaimana holding this huge Kanakas hand. He said, uncle Grandpa, I am holding uncle Iz hand. He led me to a huge party with lots cake and 🎶. I truly believe Uncle Iz was and always will be a Guardian. Your Tutu is in Heaven, partying with the best of dem. Gabby, bruddah Smitty etc. Kaimana also requested Brother Iz Starting all over again at his Celebration of Life. I will post that song next on my page in honor to your Tutu. My absolute condolences. My 🙏 pule Kakou is with you and your Ohana.
My Grandmother passed away this morning. My family is heartbroken. I'm praying for my family to get through this. This is so saddened because we hoped that everything was going to be fine. God bless my family and Grandchildren. She will be missed by all of us. Peace and Love to everyone. Let's get a long with each other and help out our neighbors. God bless my family and friends.
I pray God will comfort you and your family in your grief. I'm very sorry you lost your grandmother, they are a precious gift from God. It sounds like she was well loved! God bless you.
Love is an unbreakable bond :) Send your love she'll receive it! We can help them along by wishing they be well and free. We are never apart from the ones we truly love, and we will see them clear as day soon enough. I promise :) Take care friend.
This is the most gifted man with spiritually.. soothing music to calm me, comfort me and inspire me to live in love.. Our sweet sweet beautiful blessing from God. Thank you Jesus for this gifted gentle man..
Goosebumps when I listen to his music. But you have to agree his remix on Over the rainbow is AWESOME!! Makes me tear up because they play it a lot at funerals.
This album brings back the greatest memories growing up Nanakuli Valley with all my ohana who had passed and who are now present love you all and I’m proud to be Hawaiian 💯
I love his voice!! Left here too soon. I would have loved to have met him. I sit on my deck and relax to this every evening that I can. Thank you IZ!! 🦋🦋
The enormous love & Aloha was expressed so beautifully for him during his funeral . I think 30 semi-trucks were in the procession to take his ashes out to the Hokulea where countless canoes , surfers and swimmers assembled in the ocean to pay respects . It was Spiritual .
I discovered his music not long ago but I loved his music, his voice , his Ukulele and his personality. Its so sad that you have gone so early Israel Z. .. The world missed you and especially the Hawaiian… Thank you very much for your beautiful music which will be everlasting.
I guess it took a big man with the heart of a giant to reach the world the way he did. Heartfelt music for all the saints of the world. What an example of how to reach people with love applied to a beautiful talent.
The planet earth needs music like this to sooth the soul; especially now that there is so many unpredictable things going on. We cannot thank you enough IZ. keep singing with the angels in heaven.
Iz was pure hawaiian. He knew ALL the hawaiian songs in the original language. He doesn't weigh 700 pounds now- he is a perfect trim hawaiian now in heaven. We'll hear his remarkable voice again. Looking forward to seeing you when Jesus comes, Iz!

Mahalo IZ and family! Thank you for your music and your love of Havai'i. I cried when I heard of how your queen was held under house arrest. Your music is heavenly. I love how you commented on your loved ones. You certainly put a lot into your music, even outside beside the facility at school said your principal. Loved being in Hawaii with my husband and family a few times with your great people and flowers and beach and food.
After heard the news about how people wanted a war to get kill And racism all over the world And here thinking how came is possible good people left with so much lovely heart Probably because up there it’s much better then here This music relax me and take me to another dimension Where is calm and quiet Thanks Israel !!
The spirit of Hawaii lives on with Iz. I cry when I hear his voice, there's something so sweetly primal, so one with nature and so soothing to the soul and to the ear. When I hear him I realize what I am missing living in this concreted asphalt world.
I love his Villa only he's the awesomest guy in the world too bad he passed away he's such a nice guy what an awesome man God bless and may soul be in heaven aloha my friend
With us still With us always Close your eyes Listen Let his voice fill your minds Feel the warm ocean breeze The sand beneath your feet The scent of the salty air Always With Us
It's so sad that he is no longer living. I wish I would have known about him when he was living. His music is so soothing and tranquil. May God bless his daughter and wife for he is sleeping now in peace. He will awake at the last trump when Christ returns.
I can't wait to meet him in the new heaven and earth. We'll all have a new body and all things are going to be new when our Savior Jesus returns. ☁️🌈☁️☁️
Does anyone know a Samoan man named Pava jungblut? He was my best buddy when I lived on Oahu from 96 to 2001 a gentle giant almost 400 lb very popular humble man God blessed me with his friendship we helped each other and had good times aloha everyone!
I fell in love with Hawaii when I first was there in 1974. I've been blessed to have been able to return more than once throughout the years. There is no one like Israel. His music brings back very fond memories.
MICHAEL ALOHA *+ I Also first went to Maui as a young teenager , in 1972 * We flew in when it was dark but when I woke up the next morning and opened my eyes * I looked Upon the Glorious mountains facing Haleakala* I could not breath ( Without breath* Ha ) all I could do was cry , I mean I cried a river , bent to my knees and prayed "God , Please let me never leave these Islands". I'll tell yousomathing that I've never told because you don't know me * After a few years , I became so afraid of the Evil that I might commit , to Hawaii , to my family , to Humanity * And no , I did not take drugs at all ~ I only wanted to show respect to the Hawaiian people & All People * You must have felt the GRACE on those islands , I always felt it was God's special place for his special souls * Anyway , That morning , North of what would be Napili , I hiked and hiked until I spotted the Highest point I could above the Pacific ~ I looked over at Molokai and prayed that I never do anymore Evil and then I jumped , yes , 300 feet , onto boulders but as God would have it , I lived , although it was not my will at all but his * Now , when I visit Hawaii , with my family , I feel better , yes , because I proved , by giving my blood to the Aina , the most I could offer my blood , to offend not , I did , it was God's grace in me , not me at all MAHALO GOD I also named my son , Michael ( The Archangel )

Su mensaje es de puro amor, de pura Aloha para su tierra querida. (Esta canción es dolorosa…). “Ua Mau ke Ea o ka ‘Āina i ka Pono o Hawai’i. (“La vida de la tierra se perpetúa en justicia de Hawái”.) Ua Mau ke Ea o ka ‘Āina i Ka Pono o Hawai’i. 🌈☀️🌎🌙🙏🏽
