You don’t mention how Turks and Kurds celebrated together when the 2016 coup failed and people across Turkey with all walks of life, race and religion came together to stop the coup and succeeded. You don’t mention this. Only negativity. Why? Also Northern Cyprus’s population was 85% Turkish so that’s why Turkey didn’t want its people in the hands of the Greeks because the Greeks were also encouraging a illegal settlement there. The 64% part behind Jordan river is probably "prehistorical Palestine", so he don't want to mention it even. It seems THE TEACHER have no problems with the fact that this part (called Trans Jordan, today's Jordan) was unilaterally given to new-created arab state "without negotiations" as a "violation of international law" in his terms. 2. It's time to realize, people can claim rights for territory they populated and developed today (specifically) if they want peace today. Not just declare "its our land" for territory they never seen even. For some reason, arabs always agree to 25 years old offers and never for today's. Century after century.

1.Palestinians had several opportunities and offers of forming a state, with the majority of land going to them, which they rejected. 2. Israel was not established by colonial invader, but were established by The British who held a legal mandate over it. 3.The lands which were occupied by Israel were lands neighboring countries lost due to them attacking and instigating wars against Israel. If you instigate wars, their are consequences. 4.The narrator and many Muslim countries of the area, consistently mention that Israel are not abiding by the rules of the UN, yet none of them want to abide by the same rules of the UN, and accept Israel as a country, which is accepted by the UN. 5. Many Middle Eastern countries have however seen the futility of this perpetual conflict in favor of a people who never had a state and will never be satisfied untill Israel is destroyed and no more.

Also, the majority of the Arabs in the West Bank between 1948 and 1967 were given Jordanian citizenship. In those 20 years as part of the Kingdom of Jordan, not once did the Arabs in the West Bank get the idea to form a separate distinct identity. They underwrote their Palestinian identity only when Jordan lost the West Bank to Israel, in order to still claim the West Bank as now Palestinian territory. When Jordan had the West Bank, they were 100% Jordanians. When Israel had the West Bank, they were suddenly Palestinians. If they were still Jordanians, they couldn't claim the West Bank, because Jordan lost claims of the West Bank due to the result of the War, as you stated. But by changing identity they could now make a claim on the West Bank and other places. Zuheir Mohsen a Palestinian leader of the pro-Syria As-Sa'iqa Ba'athist faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) between 1971 and 1979 said: ''The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan''.

Their homeland has been occupied by the Roman Empire, and then the Muslims, now it's back in their own hands after centuries of exile. Israel, and the entire former territory of Judea, is Jewish, and they have a right to reclaim it. Palestine is the occupier, not Israel.

Hi thanks for the reply . My guess is both sides now accept a one state solution is the only viable answer given they can't agree on a two state solution . There is no doubt that Israel being the regional power will decide when this will happen , and your answer is in the solution , one state . I live in Cyprus where we have something similar , one country made up of two areas Greek and Turkish speaking people . So you will end up with one country , probably called Israel and Palestine , one flag which will be a conbination of the two existing flags , the national anthem could be a problem but not impossible to solve . So it's one country which equals one man one vote , with Israeli areas , Palestinian areas and also mixed areas , it's the only way to go and it makes sense .

You're not being honest in your claims. In 1946, everyone living in the region was considered to be Palestinians, Muslim and Christian Arabs or Jewish. The Jerusalem Post was called The Palestine Post, a Jewish newspaper. Historically, the original name of the region Netanyahu intends to annex was called Judea and Samaria before the Romans changed their names to Palestine/Phalestine, land of the Philistines, to provoke Jewish inhabitants. This doesn't mean I endorse the annexation, but it's important to establish historical truth and say clear there have been an Arab Palestinian state in the region, before 1947, the land was administrated by the Romans, the Ottomans, then the Brits and then the Partition Plan was offered to Jewish and Arab inhabitants. As a consequence, the Jewish State was created, not without an attack from 5 different Arab nations' armies, and the Arabs, now identified as Palestinians, who do deserve a to have their own state in safety, said "no" and didn't create their own.

How can a country annex part of itself? Its unfortunate geography is so challenging for Palestinians. There is not a country on any map called Palestine. There is however a country called Israel with defined borders. Those borders may change in the future but until that occurs they are what they are. If you don't like where you live, leave. There are many places in the world that people can go to. I realize when you are poor its difficult. But that's life. There are many Muslim countries that SHOULD welcome Palestinians. But we know that is not the case. Says much for the religion. Sadly they are very adept at ignoring glaring deficiencies and hypocrisies in Islam. The good news is the Christian world will always welcome them wherever they are.

@johns22
@johns22 3 года назад
Close but not quite correct. Greeks were actually a minority. Their concentration was in metropolitan areas (Decapolis). Rural areas were mostly inhabited by indigenous people of the Levant. A good percentage of the indigenous people converted to Christianity and called themselves Syriac including Arameans, Pheoncians, Hebrews, ..etc. Modern day Palestinian Christians are mostly the descendants of these Syriac people -- specifically the Melkite Syriacs. Of course over the ages, their DNA got mixed with others such as Greeks and Arabs. Arabization and Islamization pushed many of the indigenous people including Christians and Jews to become Arab Muslims. And yes, before Islam the main two languages were Greek in metropolitan areas and Aramaic in the rural areas. In fact modern day Palestinian dialect is highly influenced by Aramaic -- such as the case for all modern day Arabic dialects of the Levant. It might surprise you that a Palestinian Muslim, say from Hebron, has more ancient Israelite blood running through his veins than most Ashkenazi Jews. The Arabic Palestinian identity is relatively a recent political identity that was created and adopted due the increased Zionist presence in the Holy Land by late 1800s. So the fact they identity themselves as Palestinian Arabs today does not mean that have always identified themselves as such. In fact if you travel back in time a time by few hundred years and ask local inhabits of the Holy Land about their identities you will hear identities such as: Rumi (Greek Orthodox), Suni (Muslim), Yahudi (Jew), Durzi. ...etc. Only Bedouins would have identified themselves as Arabs.

first of all Palestinians are not just Muslims there are also christian Palestinians. it doesn't matter how many Arab countries there are, Palestine belongs to us. there is a lot of English countries that does not give us a right to take one over. before the kingdom of Judah there were the Canaanites (pagan Arabs) living in modern day Palestine, in 4500 BC , the kingdom of Judah was 3000 BC, which means we where there 1500 years before you guys. and if you don't believe the Canaanites are mentioned in the Torah as well as in the bible. @johns22
@johns22 3 года назад
@@yehyaalsamaneh7607 Unfortunately, the Palestinian historical narrative inaccuracies hurt Palestinians more than benefits them. I will confine this reply to some of the claims you made in your response. 1- Canaanites are NOT Arabs. I know the Arabic historical narrative and in particular the Palestinian historical narrative pushes for the idea that the Canaanites were Arabs and that the Canaanite language was a dialect of the Arabic language. These claims are purely motivated for political reasons. Am I suggesting that modern day Palestinians have no Canaanite DNA!!! Of course not. They do. In fact a recent DNA study suggests that at least 50% of modern day Palestinians share DNA with Canaanites based on DNA samples extracted from ancient Canaanite bones. The fact modern day Palestinians adopted the Arab identity does not mean their ancient ancestry was Arab. Interestingly as I mentioned in my earlier post, if you take a trip back in time -- say to the 1700s -- and ask local inhabitants of the land about their identity, the only ones who will self-identity as Arabs would be the Bedouins. Others will self-identify with their faith as in Rumi, Sunni, Durzi, Yahudi, ..etc. There was no such concept of a Palestinian nationality. 2- Most ancient Jews did not leave the land as the Zionist narrative iterates. Romans are not known to expel a whole population. Most ancient Jews who were on the land 2K years ago stayed and over time converted to Christianity and Islam. So a modern day Palestinian has more ancient Jewish blood running through their veins than any Ashkenazi Jew. But Palestinians will refute this fact because that can't fathom the idea that a single Jewish blood could be running through their veins. In other words, they are denying an important historical fact that could have been of great help to their narrative and let Zionists claim descend from ancient Jews.

Later, Joshua was identified as one of the twelve spies sent by Moses to explore and report on the land of Canaan (Numbers 13:16-17), and only he and Caleb gave an encouraging report, a reward for which would be that only these two of their entire generation would enter the promised land (Numbers 14:22-24). According to Joshua 1:1-9, God appointed Joshua to succeed Moses as leader of the Israelites along with giving him a blessing of invincibility during his lifetime (Joshua 1:5).[15][16] The first part of the book of Joshua covers the period when he led the conquest of Canaan. Conquest of Canaan Main article: Book of Joshua Joshua Commanding the Sun to Stand Still upon Gibeon by John Martin At the Jordan River, the waters parted, as they had for Moses at the Red Sea. The first battle after the crossing of the Jordan was the Battle of Jericho. Joshua led the destruction of Jericho, then moved on to Ai, a small neighboring city to the west. However, they were defeated with thirty-six Israelite deaths. The defeat was attributed to Achan taking an "accursed thing" from Jericho; and was followed by Achan and his family and animals being stoned to death to restore God's favor. Joshua then went to defeat Ai. The Israelites faced an alliance of five Amorite kings from Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon. At Gibeon, Joshua asked Yahweh to cause the sun and moon to stand still, so that he could finish the battle in daylight. According to the text, the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. This event is most notable because "There has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord heeded the voice of a man, for the Lord fought for Israel" (Joshua 10:14). God also fought for the Israelites in this battle, for he hurled huge hailstones from the sky which killed more Canaanites than those which the Israelites slaughtered. From there on, Joshua was able to lead the Israelites to several victories, securing much of the land of Canaan. He presided over the Israelite gatherings at Gilgal and Shiloh which allocated land to the tribes of Israel (Joshua 14:1-5 and 18:1-10), and the Israelites rewarded him with the Ephraimite city of Timnath-heres or Timnath-serah, where he settled (Joshua 19:50). Death Joshua's Tomb in Kifl Haris near Nablus, West Bank, on Joshua's yartzeit 2007 Joshua's Tomb in Jordan When he was "old and well advanced in years",[17] Joshua convened the elders and chiefs of the Israelites and exhorted them to have no fellowship with the native population, because it could lead them to be unfaithful to God.[18] At a general assembly of the clans at Shechem, he took leave of the people, admonishing them to be loyal to their God, who had been so mightily manifested in the midst of them. As a witness of their promise to serve God, Joshua set up a great stone under an oak by the sanctuary of God. Soon afterward he died, at the age of 110, and was buried at Timnath-heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.[19] Historicity See also: The Exodus § Historicity, and History of ancient Israel and Judah The prevailing scholarly view is that the book of Joshua is not a factual account of historical events.[20] The apparent setting of Joshua is the 13th century BCE,[20] a time of widespread city-destruction, but with a few exceptions (Hazor, Lachish) the destroyed cities are not the ones the Bible associates with Joshua, and the ones it does associate with him show little or no sign of even being occupied at the time.[21] Archaeologists generally agree that the Israelites had Canaanite origins: the culture of the earliest Israelite settlements is Canaanite, their cult objects are those of the Canaanite god El, the pottery remains are in the Canaanite tradition, and the alphabet used is early Canaanite.[22] Almost the sole marker distinguishing the "Israelite" villages from Canaanite sites is an absence of pig bones, although whether even this is an ethnic marker or is due to other factors remains a matter of dispute.[22] There is a consensus that the Joshua traditions in the Pentateuch are secondary additions. The spy story of Numbers 13-14; Deut. 1:34-7, in an earlier form only mentioned Caleb. E. Meyer and G. Hoelscher deny Joshua's existence as a historical reality and conclude that he is the legendary hero of a Josephite clan.[23]

The palestinians could have saved themselves a lot of trouble by just accepting the UN division plan in 1947! As for annexations being illegal, this is clearly not the case. There were a lot of border changes after WWII. India annexed several territories in the 1950:s, 60s and 70s without any major protests. Moreover, Israel obviously stopped their settlement plans by evacuating the Gaza strip and all settlers from it. That didn't really turn out well for Israel, as Hamas since then uses the area as a rocket launching platform. N.B: I am not saying that it is a good idea for Israel to annex parts of the West bank, I just react to some statments in the opening of the video before I close it.

Carolyn Pressler, in her 2002 commentary for the Westminster Bible Companion series, suggests that readers of the Book of Joshua should give priority to its theological message ("what passages teach about God") and be aware of what these would have meant to audiences in the 7th and 6th centuries BCE.[24] Richard Nelson explains, "The needs of the centralised monarchy favoured a single story of origins combining old traditions of an exodus from Egypt, belief in a national god as 'divine warrior,' and explanations for ruined cities, social stratification and ethnic groups, and contemporary tribes."[25] Authorship of the biblical Joshua narrative is ascribed to Joshua himself by Bava Batra 15a (Talmud) and early church fathers, but in 1943 Martin Noth published an argument that behind Joshua and other books was a unified "Deuteronomistic history", composed in the early part of the Babylonian captivity (6th century BCE). Most scholars today believe in some such composite, containing the epic history of the premonarchical period.[26] Internal evidence of the book of Joshua, and the repeated use of the phrase 'to this day' suggests that the events that it recounts took place some time before they were recorded.[27] The first record of the name Israel occurs in the Merneptah stele, erected for Egyptian Pharaoh Merneptah c. 1209 BCE, "Israel is laid waste and his seed is not."[28] William Dever sees this "Israel" in the central highlands as a cultural and probably political entity, well enough established to be perceived by the Egyptians as a possible challenge to their hegemony, but an ethnic group rather than an organised state.[29] The number of villages in the highlands increased to more than 300 by the end of Iron Age I[30] (more and larger in the north), with the settled population rising from 20,000 in the twelfth century to 40,000 in the eleventh.[31] The villagers probably shared the highlands with other communities such as pastoral nomads, but only villagers left sufficient remains to determine their settlement patterns.[32] Archaeologists and historians see more continuity than discontinuity between these highland settlements and the preceding Late Bronze Age Canaanite culture.[33] Certain features, such as ceramic repertoire and agrarian settlement plans, have been said to be distinctives of highland sites,[34] and collar-rimmed jars and four-roomed houses have been said to be intrinsically "Israelite", but have also been said to belong to a commonly shared culture throughout Iron I Canaan.[35] While some archaeologists interpret the absence of pig bones from the highland sites as an indicator of ethnicity,[36] this is not certain.[37] Villages had populations of up to 300 or 400,[31][38] which lived by farming and herding and were largely self-sufficient;[39] economic interchange was prevalent.[40] According to archaeologist Ann E. Killebrew, "Most scholars today accept that the majority of the conquest narratives in the book of Joshua are devoid of historical reality".[41][42][43][44][45] The question of the date and degrees of conquest and/or assimilation of the indigenous population is uncertain, as academics and archaeologists differ in their interpretation of the archaeological and other evidence.[46] Views Joshua and the Israelite people, Carolingian miniature, c. 840 In rabbinical literature In rabbinic literature Joshua is regarded as a faithful, humble, deserving, wise man. Biblical verses illustrative of these qualities and of their reward are applied to him. "He that waits on his master shall be honored"[47] is construed as a reference to Joshua,[48] as is also the first part of the same verse, "Whoso keeps the fig-tree shall eat the fruit thereof"[49] That "honor shall uphold the humble in spirit"[50] is proved by Joshua's victory over Amalek.[51] Not the sons of Moses-as Moses himself had expected-but Joshua was appointed as Moses' successor.[52] Moses was shown how Joshua reproved that Othniel.[53] God would speak to Moses face to face, like someone would speak to his friend. Then he would return to the camp. But his attendant, Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not leave the tent. Joshua never moved from the tent.[13] Didn't Joshua leave the tent to eat, sleep or attend to his needs? This praise shows that Joshua had complete faith in Moses, the Tzaddik. One who has this faith is cognizant of the tzaddik in everything he does; he remains steadfastly with the tzaddik whatever he does.[54] In Christianity Most modern Bibles translate Hebrews 4:8-10 to identify Jesus as a better Joshua, as Joshua led Israel into the rest of Canaan, but Jesus leads the people of God into "God's rest". Among the early Church Fathers, Joshua is considered a type of Jesus Christ.[55] The story of Joshua and the Canaanite kings is also alluded to in the 2 Meqabyan, a book considered canonical in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.[56] In Islam Joshua in Arabic calligraphy Joshua (Arabic: يُوشَعُ بْنُ نُونٍ‎, Yūšaʿ ibn Nūn, /juːʃaʕ ibn nuːn/) is not mentioned by name in the Quran, but his name appears in other Islamic literature. In the Quranic account of the conquest of Canaan, Joshua and Caleb are referenced, but not named, as two "Allah-fearing men", on whom Allah "had bestowed His grace".[57] They said, "Moses, there is a fearsome people in this land. We will not go there until they leave. If they leave, then we will enter." Yet the two men whom God had blessed among those who were afraid said, "Go in to them through the gate and when you go in you will overcome them. If you are true believers, put your trust in God. -
