I live in the west Tehran and didn't feel a thing. People are living normally. Iran has 3500 air defence points all over the country.

I love how the United States takes care of Israel far more than it does of its own territory. Puerto Rico. It shows that your responsibility of the people and organizations in charge of this country. Hell it's easier to throw a few billion dollars to a foreign Nation than it is to get Congress together to repeal the Jones act that perpetually contributes to a high rate of poverty on the island.

Iranian here. Multiple targets in Iran were struck but the extent of the damage is still being assessed using satellite imagery.

Eh, out here in Iran, it seems like they hit some air defence and radar sites. Limited attacks designed to deescalate the situation for now. But kinda scary for me because I used to be a conscript, and I actually did guard duty on some of those sites (in particular Kahrizak Air Defence site which videos of explosions from it are coming out) even though I have zero love for Islamic republic, I hate this regime but it's conscription you have no choice.

The first wave targetted an S-300 battery in Tehran and 3 Missile Bases of the IRGC (including missile and drone production facilities) and the air defense systems around them. They likely used long range ballistic missiles for these and fired them from fighter planes above Iraq, Far Western Iran and maybe Jordan. Iran seems to have thwarted the attack on Tehran but there were likely some hits in the other places, though IRGC reports the damage was minimal. We can safely say that Israel atleast hit one Air Defense battery cause somehwere between 2-4 soldier manning that battery were killed. The second wave was reportedly a wave of drone attack on a sensitive base in Parchin outside Tehran. However only one drone is said to have hit the target with the others seemingly shot down. The details of the 3rd wave of attack is unknown. However it seems to elements of the third wave were likely called back as Iranian airpsace was too hot by now with air defense batteries in full swing and Iranian fighters themselves taking flight to search for Israeli planes. Israel likely wanted to prevent the escalation that can come out of dogfights between their and Iranian planes. All in all if this information is accurate this was a very good day for Iran. Because this Israeli attack was nothing compared to what Iran did to Israel on October 1st. Israel ofc did not seem to have attacked with the intention to do enough damage to trigger regional war but still seems to have done much less damage than it hoped for as new Iranian air-defense capabilites built up over the last 2 months seem to have shot down a lot of missiles and drones. The footage of the biggest explosions/damages that circulated across social media were either old footages or footages from bombings of Beirut and not Iran. So atleast there is almost no visible evidence of damage done to Iran unlike once again, israel on October 1st. Iran will likely choose to not retaliate at all to this. Their stance seems to be mocking this Israeli attack as a failure. (and it actually seems to be one)
