On today's Watchman Newscast, host Erick Stakelbeck breaks down the "election" of Iran's new president, Ebrahim Raisi, in a vote that was anything but free and fair. Raisi was the hand-picked choice of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, and is considered his possible successor. Raisi's ascension represents an even more radical turn for the Iranian regime: he even became known as the "Butcher of Tehran" for his role in the mass execution of Iranian dissidents and was sanctioned by the U.S. What does his new role mean for Israel, the Middle East, and the West and does it make more war likely?
