Anybody with an ounce of fairness would conclude that this is the essential qn of the conflict. You want the land you conquered but not the people living on it. It amazes me how the word 'solution' is casually tossed on the other. So you want to let them have independence but keep building settlements on thier land ... cmon.. why make it so complex?

The land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people, historically,religiously and legally. Settlements are the reclamation of our ancestral homeland as the indegenous people of the land.

I dont know about (revelation 2:9)- do you have any suggestions of your own? As for (Ezekiel 36:5) I speaks his language and can explain you his words: all the nations that took the land of the lord from Israel, and did it only to disgrace Israel, not because they realy wanted it for themself, would be disgraced themself foriously by god. personally, I think the people who started to call themself palestinians at 1964, to form a new and uniqe nationality tied specifically to this land, 16 years after opening a war aimed to divide this land between Egypt Lebanon and syria, matching very well to the description of people who wans this land only to disgrace Israel. Of course I am talking about the people who led the palestinian ethos, the common arabs who followed them are their victims who pays the price.

@Isaiah israel do you even knows how many blood dirties the Interpretation you just gave to (revelation 2:9)? you need to be realy clueless to get it out of darkest boxes of history. you can belive whatever you want- but if you dont like the ppl in the land, you better just reject the whole story about jews being chosen, rather than atealling their story and than call them imposters- here is a phrase inspired by the story of Naboth- "whould you both murder and inherite?" P.S. In fact they did "went into bondage all around the globe", so how did you thought to make this into a point?

@@ryanlaci14 and they welcomed Jews just fine when they first migrated into the land due to holocaust. What's interesting is that even some Israeli Jews themselves do believe that the Palestinians today might actually be ancient Israelites who converted into Islam (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SOEHnE0ngys.html&lc=Ugw2Y64h9tfxcSo7zDF4AaABAg.9NbiSKwS91F9NjnKcccpLr). This means that historically, the Palestinians have as much claim to the land. Yes, this is debatable, but it also means that *only* Jews of ancient Israeli descendants can live in the Palestinian lands, no? However, in reality, it seems that anyone who is a Jew (even though they might just converted yesterday), regardless of their heritage (since Israel citizenship doesn't require DNA test), are deemed more worthy of staying in the land compared to Palestinians who've been living there for generations. I think that's quite unfair. If you just wanna come and live there, do so. They already welcomed you in the first place. I don't think it's necessary to build a State and remove people who are already there, restrict their access of water, freedom of movement, steal their homes, and destabilize their economy. I want to note that something is lost in some of the context here. Israel is a very small country but where you go people will have a very different perspective on things. Tel Aviv is typically more liberal as is Haifa. Jerusalem and the south are more conservative. There are definitely Israelis that want to give citizenship to Palestinians, he just didn't capture it. Another thing that is lost is the last guy spoke Hebrew with an Arabic accent and he is Jewish. Which tells me he was forced to leave the Muslim country he lived in and move to Israel when Israel was established...so there might be some deeper internal conflict due to the forced ethnic cleansing of the country he was born in.

@@___________2204 You're making it sound as if Jews have only just arrived and are asking for their land back. Dude, the state of Israel was created over 70 years ago, after a majority of the UN voted in favor of the creation of a Jewish state in Israel. You can argue whether it is just of fair or legal or whatnot for as long as you like, but it won't change the fact that Israel is here and its' here to stay. We may negotiate on where the borders of Israel start and end, but what's done is done. As a secular Israeli citizen of Jewish descent, I couldn't care less about religion. I'm very much in favor of separating between religion and state. As you probably no, there are about 2 million Arabs living in Israel, who have full citizenship (That isn't to say there is zero racism, but strictly speaking, they have all the rights by law as any Jewish citizen). The Arabs who live in the West Bank and Gaza, who identify as Palestinian have only begun identifying themselves as such since 1964 (I, for one, don't dispute their right to self Identify themselves as such). Nationally speaking, they do not and will never see themselves as Israeli, and while a significant portion of Israeli Arabs also choose to identify themselves as Palestinian (in part out of solidarity with the Palestinians of the West Bank and Gaza, who they're related to ethnically), as long as they don't give up their Israeli passport and ID card, they are within their right to do so, and Israel can't and won't do anything about that. So the bottom line is, that debating who was here first, and who has the better claim for the land is a very interesting academic debate, but you cannot undo the creation of Israel. If you wish to solve the problem you need to compromise and realize that if you want to play an "All or nothing" game with Israel, then in the end you'll get nothing.

The Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank aren't going anywhere, the settlement policy is intended to fragment the Palestinian territories and make it that much more difficult for a Palestinian state to exist. And if Palestinians were just "immigrants" by other arabic countries (I can't understand they can't be descendants of Jews and other ancient peoples who just converted to christianity/islam and were "arabised"), in 1900 they were over 90% of the population and in 1948, before the war and after the strength of Jews' immigration, still remained 75% of the total population, I think that's their land first. I grew up around Arabs all my life. If we live together in Akko I don't see why we can't in Nablus and Hebron. Yes, the Arabs in Judea and Samaria think they are "Palestinian" but if we were to annex tomorrow, their grandchildren will grow up learning Hebrew, go to university in Israel, and never drive through a single checkpoint - they will be Israelis. Look at the Golan Druze - every teenager in Majdal Shams speaks fluent Hebrew, many have Israeli citizenship, go to university in Haifa, marry Israeli Druze, etc. They don't care about Syria and don't think of themselves as Syrian (I'm speaking only of the younger generation, they are the future). Basically the intention of Israel should be this: Make all the Arabs Jews only up until the point of not converting them. They have a place in this country. And I don't support ethnically cleansing them, this is immoral in my mind. If being in the army taught me anything it's that most Arabs are regular people who just want to get on with life.

This guy is creating a dialog between citizens with super uncomfortable questions. Maybe this single dude will solve the problem on RU-vid. My opinion: if you are going to keep taking space for Israel you must give the Palestinians proper representation. That means they need the right to vote. Also. Israelis and Arabs need to recognize that religion needs to be taken out of all state related issues. Your religion and its ridiculous dogma cannot run your country. It leads to oppression plain and simple.

Hypocrisy in its best image. On one side they want the whole land to be israel but they won't allow the indigenous population who were living there for nearly a thousand years to be equal to them and be israeli citizens. On the other hand, the israeli government keeps allowing illegal settlements in occupied palestenian territory and keeps denying them from having their own country, Benyamin Natenyahu already said it in 1978 in a UN council that he does not believe in two state solution. So what? You keep people living there without basic right, with nearly full control over their lives, checkpoints, IDF brutality, air and sea blockade in gaza??
@rodrigonz18
@rodrigonz18 3 года назад
The best and fairest option right now, not as a final solution though, in my opinion is: - Removal of all settlements (big and small) from the West Bank. End of civil ocupation. - Palestinians have full control of their resources and land. - Israel still maintains a certain control of West Bank borders to prevent the entrance of military material in response to their security claims, but they can't demolish people's homes, segregate, charge high taxes or do apartheid as they do now. - East Jerusalem is left to further negotiation, but should be given special status inside Israel: palestinians living there will have the administrative control of that place to prevent ethnic cleasing in the form of judaization, at the expenses of christians and muslims.

Albert, its not helpful. Foremost, Palestinian Arabs in East Jerusalem / Judea-Samaria, DO have old Jordanian passports because of history, but are not allowed citizenship by Jordan! You'll never achieve Hashemite Arab rulers to re-consider, so its a moot point. Fantasy. Secondly, they do not feel connected to Amman, they feel connected and at home.... in Jerusalem, and Judea-Samaria. That's their home. I'm not saying what the solution is, because there are none. @Achadsyodeahhcool Beamet Is that how Britain should deal with Catholics in Northern Ireland - if one IRA offshoot sets off a bomb, invade again and kill all the Catholics? Is that the way that Turkey should deal with all the Kurds, or Morocco with the Sahrawi people? It's hard to see how either justice or mercy would be served in such a response. Whether Catholics in Northern Ireland, Kurds in Turkey, or Sahrawis in Western Sahara, not everyone is of the same mind about what to do with the Other. I think, if you've watched the videos on this channel, you'd see that not all Palestinians are of the same mind either. Yes, some Palestinians dream of a Palestine with no Jews. But also, some Israelis dream of an Israel with no Palestinians - you heard from some of them here in this very video. Does that mean that those Israelis, because they pose a threat to the Palestinian people, have forfeited their right to a country (whether one of their own, or alongside others)? Have forfeited their right to fully participate in their own governance, and the determination of their own society's present and future? There needs to be a better solution than mass murder or mass expulsion. I think every decent-hearted person can agree that mass murder and mass expulsion are unacceptable. Perhaps ongoing dialogue, changing minds, coming together on a mutually agreed solution, not overreacting to every splinter-group provocation, and building mutual respect and trust instead of hostility and fear on both sides, is the better way out?
@skoosharama
@skoosharama 3 года назад
@Achadsyodeahhcool Beamet So the conflict between Irish Catholics and Protestants is not merely a hundred years old, but over four hundred years old. Would it have made sense in 1990 for either the Unionists/Loyalists or Republicans/Nationalists to have said, "The majority of the other side will never change, and it's going to end up with one side having to eliminate the other"? Only eight years later, the Good Friday Agreement was signed. If you want to talk about atrocities: 1990 was coincidentally the year that proxy bombings were revived by the IRA. That's where militants would kidnap someone (usually someone connected with the RUC or the British Army in some way, however tenuously) and force them to drive a vehicle full of explosives at some target, often by threatening their families. Also, in 1998, about two months after the signing of the Good Friday Agreement, a "Real IRA" bombing killed 29 civilians, many of them children, in Omagh. The British government did not scrap the agreement. Can you imagine that? My point being, this is not the only situation where two intensely hostile groups living in the same place, both heavily armed, neither greatly outnumbering the other, not only using but celebrating the violence they inflict on the other side, equating violence with strength, and using violence to keep their own side ideologically in line, have faced the prospect of neverending war. Another way is possible.
