Issues continue with EDD’s identity verification system

we should sue ID.ME!

This is absolutely insane!!!!! I was told that my verification had been completed. Each time I tried to log into EDD it took me back through the same process, besides being on the phone this morning for 2 hours and 10 minutes. This is cruel and unusual punishment for those that are most vulnerable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had same problem, been trying to get in touch with live agents since last night!!!! Its been 12 hours & nothing! It keeps saying more than 5 hours wait time!!!!! Honestly, to say they need to do much better is underrated!!!! 😡😡😡😡

I have gotten spastic payments and literally it takes me 6 to 7 weeks in order to get paid 2 weeks I've been told I have 17 pages of notes from edd employees, it's taken me 600 plus calls in a day to get through to be told a specialist will call me in 10 days to NEVER get a call and that's not even including the 500 plus emails I've sent over the last 6 months and never got a answer back!

I am stuck in this as well Nothing but stalls and and incompetence from EDD and ID.me. This is the second time since January and no improvement in the process. I really hope it's not our tax dollars paying for this very poor service.

All people who are legitimate and were denied or are having problems with id.me should get together and file a class action lawsuit against id.me and the government. If they are denying your legitimate application and rightful unemployment, that's a crime. Time to sue

Never had this problem when you were sent a check. Go to the bank show your I D. Cash it.

What's it take to get thru to these people? It's been a nightmare, it's been days and I still haven't been to connect with the "Trusted Referee" let alone uploading my documents several times. They couldn't get my face scan right for over 15 times why I tried to do whatever they asked. Everything was finally upload, and the wait to hear from them continues.

You can't use ID.me with my phone. 4 months later, EDD finally mails me what I need to send in which I did the same day I received it, 4/2/21. Within 5 days, EDD disqualified me and I don't understand at all how this right emotionally or legally.

I just did ID.me yesterday ...the first wait for a virtual interview was 3 hours ,they told me one of my photos was blurry ,so I had to reupload just that one ...the second wait was 15 minutes and I got an interview with a great ID.Me worker ...it went well even tho I am older and not used to using my cellphone camera everyday .....it is easier to wait for the interview on your laptop while you are doing other things so you are not tying up your cellphone waiting ...it would be hard to use for a family that doesn't have good browser options ...I would rather send the my ID online than in the snail mail at this point .....it really sounds crazy that she didn't want to wait 15 minutes lol....ID.me is active 24 hours ,so you can go on weekends or nights if you want to

Submitted online got the verification #and still my claim is still under review. Edd mailed me requesting ID again now it’s more waiting. Been out of work since March 15

I got an alert on my credit alert the other day that my SS # had been compromised through ID.me.

I have tried to get my ID uploaded...then once I got them in and hit next...it told me I had am error to use webcam and open browser. I don't have a computer. But I've used my phone for my unemployment certifications and it has been great. But what am I to do now? I have 1/2 the balance of my 03/07-03/20 payment still pending!!

My ID information hasn't even been verified through EDD and I've uploaded documents for links from Docusign and ID.me with NO explanation on what to expect or the timeline of when my benefits will be paid to me. I have a whole month of benefits of claims waiting to be paid!. I'm so frustrated 😩

I would advise you to look into it more. They took my documents and control most if my life. It's horrifying

1week ago i did was able to get someone from id.me and did a videocall with him showed him my passport and drivers license and i was told that edd will be emailing me the next steps on what i should do, till now nothing from edd and i cant even call anyone just kept saying that edd has a lot of callers.

Its not our fault that edd employees didnt do their jobs right, sending payments to fraudsters. And now us innocent hard working citizens are the ones suffering from edd's mistakes. Edd should atleast pay us extra for suspending our edd accounts for fraud or edd should pay us interests for our money. Interest and extra payments for emotional stress, for the inconvenience and for everything

Have spoken with 7-8 LIVE EDD employees and all have said different things. It seems like they do not anything or telling you different things on purpose.

I have been trying for at least 3 weeks, I have submitted my documents over 20 times, got thru once and was told they couldn't verify because a document had an old address. Now wait times are over 5 hours. I am still trying to file my original claim and in the meantime I am now homeless. Please help

We need a video on why EDD hasn't fixed UI Online locked accounts. I'm locked out and have called numerous times, did the intake forms, still nothing.. Error code 321. If you have Error Code 321, you won't be able access UI Online or use Telecert either. 6 month later, still not fixed!! Have to snail mail my certifications, it's horrible 😫

I have been kick out of my ID.me for over 4/5 weeks, I have wrote to both EDD AND ID.me, no response. I’m completely lost can anybody help?

My social security card and my driver's license I like just got it on the DMV I don't know how I'm going to send it to them it just keeps going back and forth back and forth I don't know I'm going to ask somebody to help me

I had uploaded the documents requested the right way and it says:"we are unavailable to confirm your identity" wait time to speak with a specialist and confirm your ID 5 hours take that time to have your documents ready it says. Horrible experience I can't verify nothing.

I’m having the same problem. But I’m pretty sure my issue is that my ID is in my maiden name and everything else including my social security,health insurance,taxes is in my married name. I go by my married name and have been since 1989. I am separated but couldn’t change my social security card name to my maiden name because they need proof of divorce. Although we have been split up we are not divorced. And have no clue we’re he is located. I also tried to change my ID to my married name dmv said they need a marriage certificate and my traffic violations in my maiden name to be cleared. I got married in the 80’s and can’t remember the date and not sure if it was CA side or Nevada side. So therefore i am having a hard time getting a copy of my marriage certificate So therefore cannot change my ID to my married name. I have never had an issue with this before. I’ve gotten hired at jobs,done my taxes,gotten bank accounts,etc. my whole life. The only thing my maiden name is in is my ID basically anything dmv related. There has to be another way I can verify that I’m really me. I had money on my Edd card that is frozen. EDD blamed Bank America Bank America is blaming EDD. Any info on how to resolve this issue please let me know. I’ve worked my whole life and am 50 now and am having to fight to get any help. I had money in my bank, have done numerous certifications that I am not receiving benefits for. And have also proved my identity months ago before already. Athough I do realize the having two different names might be questionable if they really looked into it they would find out I am me. At this point I’m owed thousands of dollars that I’m not getting due to this issue.

Yeah hello hi I would like to make a comment to that EDD sent me an e-mail saying that I need to upload my identification because they can't verify my identity I sent them my W-2 form my my forms at my boss signed it that I got layoff and I have certified already for 8 weeks cuz I was getting DVD last year and I sent them mostly what they need call me to do now they're asking for my identity and my friends trying to help me to do that that she had mistake to because we send it by email my ID and my social security card so I don't know what's going to happen if they only give me until the 12th of March I don't even know how to do this and if anybody knows how to do this weekend and I'm almost going to be off homeless if I don't take care of this I don't know how to do this online and I don't have the upload upload on homepage

I had to submit a new claim because my benefit year had ended. I went through similar experiences as shown in this video and no-way was I going to submit ,on line sensitive documents to some "Trusted Referee" then do a video of myself showing these same documents to the Trusted Referee. Instead I downloaded the new claim forms, printed them, filled them out and faxed the new claim application to EDD. My status is doing the "pending" routine and to be honest, I have little hope that my EDD issues will be solved. Oh, and reaching a living human being on the phone...if you do happen to get in to, on hold for the rep line, prepare to wait and and wait then, oops, the line disconnects. It's beyond frustrating.
