So WHY, after all this exposure is the US Government, specifically the IRS STILL requiring me to go through IDme in order to access MY account????? As of today, May 28, 2022 I can NOT access my IRS account and soon I will not be able to access my VA Healthcare account! Congress is doing NOTHING to help us! Letters and questions to IDme from Congress are just a dog and pony show to give the appearance they care and are doing something!

I tried to get "verified" with I.D. Me one time and it was so intrusive I didn't do it. Very creepy. I can open a bank account without having to be stripped searched. Why is this company needed?

I worked there in the marketing department for 3 months and was horrified by the lack of security with identity. They were so busy with the volume of unemployment requests coming in that they asked the marketing department to help decide whether someone was fraudulent or not…something I didn’t feel comfortable doing. Also social security information was regularly shared on slack among colleagues (when they needed recommendations on whether something was fraudulent). Not secure. The ceo worked in the army and uses his story to sell his ‘anti terrorist’ story but it is all a way to make money. He is not skilled in true cybersecurity
Can you click the "I don't have a social security number" button and still get verified? I really didn't want to give it out because I was worried about this exact thing. It's just for student discounts

As far as I can tell, news sources of all kinds are lying about this. That makes it very suspect. To me, it feels like what happened after 2020 again... did you ever really have to get the thing they pushed to travel or everything else? The government and their public-private partnerships are trying as hard as they can, pulling all the same stops, to push as many people as possible into this BEFORE it is backed away. If met with enough disapproval, which they seem to expect, they will pull it away for real but will never actually give it up. Why is it a third-party to organizations like the IRS? Legal reasons, I can almost guarantee. They have very specific laws that regulate the types of information about us that they can and cannot collect, and you know that biometric data is not specified. What makes them think they can hire somebody else to use the powers and means they are not specifically allowed to? That’s akin to the government granting contracts to organized crime. Tell me how that makes sense.

Crazy. I waited 72 hours last year before giving up. I applied again yesterday and was told to expect an email and now nothing. Also the facial thing, 35 minutes of move back, too close, move right, etc. No email back nothing. This process is worrying, what are they really up to?

This is so so stressful! My ID is expired and so they tell me to submit other documents and a temporary ID which I did. I also did a video chat many times and they are still blocking be even though the seem my face on a video call. I had to email account associated and the the said “this is being escalated” because of that and I was on a video call with, she could see it was me. I just went to my account profile and it has the option for primary email and to add one. J don’t know what is going on but they are ruining lives. I new some wasn’t right that’s why I look up the video on you tube. I hope to leave this country one day because the government is allowing these people to do this to us. It feels like a scam.
Why would you do that? Did you sign any contract saying you would do that if they asked you? If it isn’t in the contract why would you do that to yourself?
I had been denied access to my account they claimed I have two accounts, and asking for their trustee referee is not allowed to me. And I filled over 30 of their requests. for help. After 11 months they just reached out sending me to do all that I had already done. I knew this all along.

When I first started it took like two weeks to verify. I had an old phone number issue which I helped them fix. I know they saved a bunch of money but should not have hurt so many. I think having an associate degree in business helped me in this. Computing is everywhere now and taking a class can help a lot..🎉
@@CM-xr9oq it's feed back that helps. I told them how come I can't change my number right within the site if I have my identification? My bank does it and I showed them pictures. It's hard for company's to use and share new technology but we we help them by being the beta test we can have a much more secure internet. lol

I was trying to get on ID me to change my phone number and I can’t do it. It’s kind of frustrating. It should go back to the old ways and get rid of this. It doesn’t make sense. Our system our government is really really messed up nowadays as long as money goes into their pocket they don’t care about people that’s trying to make it living from the check to check.
